hey everybody what is going on pizza minetty here for ny news guys this is not going to be and joseph peta sleeping like cash nah baby i'm wide awake we don't even know that man is alive right now um this is gonna be more of a of a recap video that i that i um wanted to make a little earlier and i figure um now let me just go ahead and and make that now and then we're gonna talk about a few different things and whatnot and go from there um so really if you guys don't mind again as i always like to ask you guys please go ahead and share this out i greatly appreciate it so go do that for me if you don't mind and yeah we will go from there so i'll give everybody a few minutes i know i jumped on a little late but i wanted to actually we had to take the uh the dogs out first doing some detox tea today a little bit of detox tea i'm a tea fanatic i'm a t fanatic fan i always got some um some tea going on but i'll give everybody a little bit of time to join folks and then we'll jump in on a little recap tonight and uh talk a little bit about um i think the big one of the big moves of the day that affect the yankees and and maybe what where they could go from here um and and you know we'll chat about that and then take some questions and you know all that fun but it's not gonna be a really long it's not going to be one of the really long chats i don't think unless you know i go off on a tirade which i'm very capable of doing all the time but uh we will go from there so let's um yeah let's get right into it guys again um basically just looking at a recap first so the first big move um of the day today of course again we know everything about max shares we know robbie ray i already talked about that i already covered those so up until the corey seeger signing i talked about everything a little earlier um that was of course the robbie ray deal which i really hate um that hal steinberg didn't go there but again it's it's it's falls in line to what i was told all off season but again i'm not going to come on here to scream that was earlier uh my voice needs a little rest so i can do this again tomorrow because i'm pretty sure we're going to have more to talk about tomorrow but the texas rangers again come out that have been been aggressive um they signed courtesy to a 10-year deal 325 million dollars and gets a 5 million signing bonus they also signed marcus simeon as you guys know so they really have reworked that infield um in a new way and and uh the lone star state is very very happy tonight so they are they're very excited and um it's it's where they are right now so the texas rangers do something you know you had a lot of guys like jeff passing and buster olney and and joel sherman who all said uh you know it's just destiny that uh seeger is gonna be a yankee and you know unfortunately they don't get to get called frauds and stuff like that like like other people do who bust their ass to try to get something out there um but you know hey it is what it is you get that blue check mark you get hired and you know it is what it is you could you could do whatever the hell you want um but corey seeger ends up going to the rangers not really knowing what interest he had i think the weirdest thing is and this was earlier that we come to find out the yankees didn't even offer robbie ray anything that goes to show me that they're either targeting one specific free agent or they're just not gonna spend big and free agency at all which is also what i've been told and i keep saying i refuse to believe it just because i want the yankees to spend some money it comes down to that i mean i don't mind saying i'll come on here a meeting like my people were wrong the yankees spent i'm happy you know that's not a that's not a loss for me that's not a loss for my people you know it's just information they're giving me so i really hope that that is what happens um so you know he was another option simeon was an option we knew all that those guys were options for the yankees at shortstop and it doesn't work out uh marcus simeon is a ranger and also corey seeger's a ranger so you know it is what it is uh well we'll move on from that one the big one that i want to talk about that i actually think does affect the yankees is what you guys were probably automatically expecting me to talk about which is the idea that gary sanchez has a good shot at being a catcher again in 2022 and i tell you what guys this is not a team that is serious about winning i mean that's all there is to it you know you you don't have much defense anymore of gary sanchez you just don't have much defense anymore about gary sanchez you just don't you know whether it's early on when i reported and everybody wanted to rip my throat out and kill me and came at me in every way you could think of that gary sanchez was out of shape he came to king came to camp out of shape joe girardi was very upset yankees leadership was very upset and the down and the downfall started a little bit there then he got in good shape then gary sanchez worked at it and he looked like he was getting in better shape and last year he was in good shape and already there's pictures of the offseason him working on his balance and things like that um it's it's it's very very odd um because he he has gotten better in that sense he he's gotten in better shape and he has there's no denying there's hard work there nobody denies that people that just say fat and lazy that's a bad argument he's not he's not he's not that's just something to look to pick on gary about he's not fat and lazy gary sanchez works gary sanchez is not a catcher i have said this about gary sanchez for a long time gary sanchez needs a change of scenery and he desperately needs a dh spot or a dhl national league where he can kind of flip-flop in that role whether he catches a few games but he gets at the h and it's more about his offense i believe gary sanchez is being limited because he plays a position doesn't like again you can go back to i think it was 2015 2015 or 2016. there's a scouting report on mlb.com that the scout literally says in there that gary sanchez may not have the heart to stay at catcher if he really loves that position it's really hard you really got to work at that position and stay there for a long time and you do continuously get better it beats you up a lot gary has not handled that position well going from the fact that nobody on the staff at the end of the year even wanted to catch him corey kluber did it jordan montgomery at the end started going to higashiyoka and we know already about garrett cole whether they get to the postseason if it's a wild card game or game one of a big game or a game seven or game five gary sanchez isn't catching he's not catching so what is it about gary sanchez that the yankees want to keep you know everybody brings the walls to bed that that's not it anymore the yankees know at this point and if the yankees don't know they're they're which is probably true they have gone so far into living in the world of analytics that the idea that he's a decent offensive pro catcher one of the better ones in baseball they're gonna keep him there and defense doesn't mean jack and their ideas well we have a backup catcher for a reason gary's gonna pop a homer every now and then so that's good enough can't do that if the yankees are a serious club there's time it's not like they're saying gary's the catcher that's it there is time and i'll even tell you some names but there is time to move on from gary sanchez i feel you have to no matter what happens you gotta move on from it and i saw uh uh um i saw something here um from a guy on here i wanna i wanna talk about this because it's hilarious because i get this a lot this is from alberto honest question pete did gary sanchez hurt you personally don't get me wrong i like you and love everything n1 news does i want to move on from sanchez too but man it looks like you hate him it looks like i hate him because i want him to move on from the team i like frau i want i hate him because i'm saying the yankees need to move on from gary sanchez where where do you get hate from that and on top of that i'm gonna just keep it real with you because that's what we do here yankee fans got every right to seriously dislike gary sanchez simple as that you think it's cool for a guy to get a pass ball and he rolls to the ball he tiptoes to the ball to go get it guys halfway down first base you think it's okay for a guy to ground that and not even run you think it's okay for a guy to get a ball about 40 feet away from a player a great throw to home plate and move away from home plate and let the guy score you think it's okay for big playoff games in october or postseason type games in october a guy hits a pop-up a pop-up and gary sanchez doesn't even touch the ball with his glove i don't dislike gary sanchez at all i'm actually looking to help gary sanchez i need him to move on to go to another club there you go bad dog hates him i personally don't hate the guy i hate him as a baseball player for the yankees 100 but you but you're saying has he done something personally to me yeah you know what he gave me audrey all season is that enough so so you are trying to create something that makes no sense you know maybe fit you you know that's got to be a t-shirt at some point fit you got to be a t-shirt no alberto i love you fam thank you for the question um but moving on from that so this is the big news today everybody on this channel knows how much i really like jacob stallings i thought he would be a terrific fit for the yankees because if you're gonna give up offense you really need to pick up a huge amount of defensive production stallings is arguably the best defensive catcher major league baseball now he's on his way to the miami marlins and guys before i go into that let me give you guys a little heads up let me go back let me tell you the names because i actually broke this down and i actually did the did the homework on this to tell you what that type of deal would have actually been so the pirates get from the miami from the miami marlins zach thompson who is a starting pitcher at the major league level kyle nicholas who is a low a pitcher and also connor scott who i believe is an outfielder in low a okay so i'm gonna give you a better offer immediately from the new york yankees and maybe there's a little bit of control issues here but the other players are better from my understanding of what i'm looking at so when you look at this and you say okay well why did the yankees go after this guy what would the deal look like here's what the deal would have looked like on the yankee side compared to what the miami marlins gave the pirates domingo hermann matt sawyer and ryder green that would have been a better package is there anybody in this room right now who would not have given that up for jacob stallings who also is owed less money than gary sanchez and we know the yankees are trying to do everything they can to save money what do you guys think i'll say it again domingo harmon matt sawyer who is in loie or high a i believe and ryder green who is enable that's what it would have took on the yankee side and if you're just comparing what the deals would have been that's what the deals would have been again domingo hermann matt sawyer and ryder green is a very very comparable if not better deal from pittsburgh to miami marlins on the yankee side so looking at that and thinking of that you have you had a chance to get jacob stallings we knew he'd probably be traded it just made sense but there's still hope out there if the yankees want to make a change you have two free agent catchers who i know again everybody's gonna say i don't know i don't know i don't know because they're offense guys forget offense at the catching position forget offense at the catching position for the time being the yankees got guys in that line that needed driving runs they need a healthy dj le mayo which hopefully they're getting and they just need to do things better they need some athletes in the lineup estevan floriel needs to be in his lineup estevan floria at least needs to be on the bench oswald cabrera should potentially get a shot so if you look at all that if you look at all that roberto perez john gomes roberto perez is also one of the best defensive catchers in baseball yeah he's had a rough year he had a rough 2020 all so i get it before that 2019 20 plus homer's 230 average he's a powerful guy everybody knows he's gonna hit homers thinking he was injured also last year so i don't know how much they had an effect in it but roberto perez is a guy homers roberto perez is a guy who again forget the homer so fit me for saying home run he plays defense guys catch him guys want to throw to him john gomez another guy not as good defensively as roberto perez's but i'm down for it the yankees have to move on from gary sanchez it's as simple as that you can't go through another year with this you just can't do it you just can't do it jonathan my fam thank you so much man that's exactly what i'm here to do i'm here to work hard for you guys uh this is the future this is the future for this is the future for me and my team this is it right here so working hard for you guys what it's all about you know wilson contreras not that good defensively comparable to gary comparable to gary but maybe change of sceneries work good for everybody you know you got your other guys out there carson kelly uh you know that they're looking at in arizona he could be very available because dalton varshall is likely gonna be their new catcher so maybe you got carson kelly who could be available who i love carson kelly i love carson kelly sanchez gary gotta go at this point gary gotta go at this point and um guys you know i i've had many people dm me too and ask me you know um what are the yankees gonna do you know are they gonna make a big move look i'm holding out hope in the sense of there's still things that can be done if the yankees take the route more and they go okay well you know the reason why we didn't jump into all these all these free agent signings because yeah you know what we're not spending the money nothing cash we could do about that i'm not sticking up for cash man you guys know i've went at brian cashman a lot i'm not sticking up for brian cashman but if brian cashman like i reported is being told cashy money's cut if he's being told that brian cash we can't do jack and i must think you guys know me you guys don't get me wrong here you guys know fam you know me if you've watched me you know i tore into all of them so this is not me being cute this is not me being cute this is me just being honest if brian cashman is told look no there ain't nothing to spend he talked about the latitude but you know latitude my ass ladder on this team to make you happy actually i'm not for all the big contracts i'm not it's the way your money is spent it's the way your money is spent that it that that is key the the key is how your money is being spent it's not about it's not about signing the biggest guys it's about how you're spending that guys look next year alone the yankees got two two bullpen arms that are making over 30 plus million combined that's nuts that is not even i'm not even counting green in that but with green you're pushing 35 plus million for three guys in a bullpen that's not the way you run a team that is not the way you run a team the yankees don't it's not about the big contract it's about how it is spent and the yankees have done a poor job on that you're paying a roll this chapman 18 million dollars next year you're paying britain 14 million you're paying chad green seven plus million that's a lot of money for three bullpen arms when you got stephen ridings ron monaco monaki whatever his name is um uh who else are all uh albert abreu still down there louise heel could potentially go to the pen there's a lot of guys there that could do that you shouldn't be spending all that money on a bullpen you shouldn't be spending all the money like that on the bullpen the moves the yankees should be looking to do is potentially move of course luke voight we know gotta go and he still has to go so we know the yankees got to make trades and before i before i went off on a little rampage there i was gonna say you know what the hopes of of if you look at this with a little optimism and trust me i understand it's hard to have right now but if you look at this with a little bit of optimism and you sit back and you go okay i'm looking at the overall picture here we need a first baseman not a lot of teams right now you know are talking matt olson but we also still have the opportunity of rizzo i don't think friedman leaves i don't think freddie freeman leaves leaves atlanta i don't know if that's a real possibility i've heard nothing about that but maybe we got that option chris taylor could be an option for the yankees because he could play all over not good mind you he doesn't play shortstop good center field he could play could play left he could place uh uh third short seconds so you got olson out there the yankees got every chance in the world to get olsen and a starting pitcher guys oswald is one of the best prospects in major league baseball i have talked about this guy a lot i want to see him multiple times this year very very big fan of oswald peraza very big fan of him he's the best defensive shortstop in the minor leagues people don't know that he's the best defensive shortstop in minor leagues he's arguably the fastest runner if not top three that the yankees have in the minor leagues he has significant pop to right field he hit he sprays the ball all over oswald peraza could play shortstop right now for the yankees he could play shortstop right now also for the oakland a's but i feel cashman in the sense if i'm gonna give you peraza if i'm gonna add more to that you gotta give me a starting picture i want mania so if there is any conversation and again the yankees keep this very very tight in the circle not a lot of this stuff comes out eddie blanks we do need pitching this is again the problem with a lot of yankee fans the yankees do need pitching you can i'll get let me let me get to that i get i get easily off track i understand that but let me let me finish my point and i'll talk about the pitching if brian cashman sits back and he goes look i know rizzo's there we got rizzo as a backup he already let us know he wants to come back if there is another offer and he wants to accept it we'll get that chance so we have time to work on that because that's a common thing in free agency but if you notice a possibility that there's not a lot of interest as much as you expected or it's not going to cost as much as you expected to get a guy like olsen and maybe a manaya maybe you're a little hesitant to say let me go throw it at 150 at robbie right now this is not me talking as i do in the heartbeat but if i'm brian cashman maybe he knows there's trades on the horizon that are gonna make this club better you know what i mean maybe that's possibility eddie eddie it's fine man i still want to talk about the pitching anyway um but maybe that's a possibility you know what i mean maybe there's a trade out there that none of us are thinking of cashman's done that before right he finds the offensive players i give him credit on that one i give him credit on that one he finds the offensive players he finds the offensive players so um he does that but on the pitching front carlos rodon i i love him i love him he had a terrific season huge strikeout numbers it's never healthy and i mean again that is that's just another risk for the yankees jameson taion is is an extremely good pitcher when he stays healthy and you know the yankees kind and there's not a sure thing in baseball and i understand that i understand it's not a sure thing in baseball i understand that but but you you want to feel somewhat of assurance when you're getting somebody who you feel is going to be on the field you know what i mean so you gotta try to go out there and find pitching whether it's a number two a solid number three you can't count on luis severino guys and another thing i'm going to make a point about garrett cole in new york city gary cole's pressure has gone up even more now max scherzer's in new york cole's a competitor he knows that cole's a competitor garrett cole also has to prove himself this year he's got to prove himself this year garrett cole probably would be pitching this year with more pressure than he's pitched in probably in his career because there's a lot of people that are watching his his his outings even closer now they ever have before because of the spider tech because of all that stuff you know what i mean you know there's a lot he got to do now there's a lot there's a lot of proving on his end ambassador minaj would be great li yankee king thanks for the super chat again maybe clayton kershaw's a target i don't know i i don't think so i mean you never know but i i don't i don't think that's necessarily a fit i see some people in here saying that the blue jays uh losing rey and getting gauzeman um you know and and of course losing simeon but the thing you gotta remember about the blue jays is that towards the end of the year a lot of the young guys started to come up and they were showing legitimate potential now they can have a full year of those guys pearson um manao manoa whatever his name is another another goody young pitcher gossman of course addie you can't downplay golfman too much he's a fly ball pitcher which i think kind of worries me if i'm toronto i think that era is going to go up a bit i don't think he'll be the same guy i don't think he'll put up anything of a year like robbie ray did so i definitely see that being a point but i do think they're pitching still has a chance to be strong and they they just still have a i down for um why are you down on sevi he pitched pretty well when he came back well the reason i'm down on sevi is because he's not supposed to be coming back as a relief pitcher and he hasn't pitched since 2018. i think that's a pretty good reason to be you know not too confident in luis severino he hasn't pitches 2018 as a starting pitcher there's been a lot of injury there's been a lot of innings missed it hasn't been a lot of work loading that arm and that body so for me i i can't see louis severino as a number two and if the yankees try to sell him as this well you know we got severino back that's our big starter acquisition that ain't it that ain't it a a i could see tanaka coming back i reported on that very early in the off season that i was told that uh tanaka wants to come back to america so we'll see what happens there um no nothing since then that's that's the only time i ever was told about it that's the only time i was ever told about it so uh we'll see we'll see uh we'll see what happens there hey look at that we're definitely siminetti after dark right now probably push just past a little past probably 12 today and keep the conversation going and answer psyched and are we in a good place the yankees right now no no not at all not at all you can't depend on aaron hicks can't depend on gary gary sanchez can't depend on the rotation yeah the only deals that really upset me i knew i didn't i didn't ever expect max charles would be a yankee i was kind of upset to find out the yankees had nothing to to go after him with they didn't look to do that um but rey and stallings definitely bothered me ray and if if i ranted before those guys got signed it would have been a really ugly rant it would have been no no i ranted with the with the right one i did rant with the ray one um i stopped there but i didn't see the stallings one but if they were together it would have been a crazy rent oh are you talking about timothy are you talking about if we yo new york yankees fans yet again it is felix from nynews.com like always so yankees fans there's a strong rumor out there that the yankees are about to ship gary sanchez to the miami marlins the person reporting this has gotten a whole bunch of moves right this offseason he's also a fellow youtuber with about 30k subscribers his handle is italk studios he's gotten the gauzeman signing correct cluber signing correct and so on this is why i'm giving him the benefit of the doubt this guy has a large following and it doesn't seem that he would uh discredit himself putting out false information like i said he has a good track record this offseason so far so what he's putting out is that um the yankees are about to ship gary sanchez over there to miami and also he put out that the uh pirates are close to acquiring catcher young guns and why is that significant because the pirates there's been talk that the yankees are interested in pirates character stallings who was a yo glover in 2021 and again another rumor is that the yankees are not going to pick up gary sanchez's uh arbitration and the scenario is that the yankees are going to trade for stallings and the yankees are going to ship gary sanchez to miami here's my honest opinion gary sanchez is not a catcher gary sanchez is more of a dh if the nl adopts the dh i think gary sanchez is going to go ham as you guys all know dh has been occupied on the new york yankees for seasons now again i'm not saying gary sanchez is a great catcher he absolutely is horrible but i do believe that there's potential there with his bat and like i said he could completely go ham playing down there in miami so again the strong rumor out there the yankees are going to tender gary sanchez's contract they're going to trade him to the miami marlins and there's a good possibility the yankees are going to trade for pirates character stallings who is defensively great it's a major upgrade from gary sanchez my voice is kind of out right now but i wanted to come on real quick to give you that scoop uh yeah strong possibility and you know it's not one of these uh fake sources online the guy saying it has been right about like five times already this offseason he hasn't been incorrect thus far so yankees fans leave your opinions in the comment section below and like always this has been felix from nynews.com share like and subscribe and i will check you out next time please

optimistic there's four short stops out there that are not signed and it's this almost december 1st lockdown is coming we don't know if that's signed before or after but there's four guys that are available that need to play somewhere next year we know detroit would be interested we know texas that they're probably gonna get one one of each that can still leave you with two who whoever those names are whatever the mariners go out there and they get uh adam frazier hello and take some and take some right out of the of the talk maybe they put that money elsewhere you know what i mean now a stop gap and things like personally is francis putting in stock in either camp right now no why because i feel like nobody knows what they're doing because that's how cashman operates and you know what that's not necessarily a bad thing because when you're the yankees if you show your hand you're screwed right like if you show like listen this is our guy and if we don't get him like our entire offseason hinges on him then you're gonna have to overpay and you're gonna get beat over the head with the price so if you if you remain ambiguous it's probably better for you right which makes sense that if they are going to sign a 300 million dollar play a contract then they also put out that they're not signing it so that it's not as out there or if they are going to a stop gap it's better that they also put out that they maybe might dip in the water 300 million because you don't want to show your hand but all that all that being said the paris that that's speaking about like the big fish that's not speaking about the peripheral moves and we're talking about moves like catcher center field like things like that you know what i'm saying starting pitching is always a priority it's always a focus but i mean this off season right like it's something that has to be like you know at really at the forefront after you make one of these big moves i listened to boone on r2c2 the other day god bless you he sounded like it was it was an intro it was an interesting interview but i'll say towards the end when they started talking about like free agency and things like that or whatever he targets they're talking about different guys every day and he said like he feels like you know right now they're in a position where they're just waiting for a big domino to fall and that once that domino falls you're going to see a bunch of subsequent moves that follow that right after i heard that i said okay let me do a little research here before i speak out of turn i want to look i looked at the 40-man roster which is currently exactly at 44. it's perfect perfectly at 40. and i went and i looked at it let me tell you what i gathered from looking at that roster this roster is not a roster that is built for opening day so clearly clearly the yankees are planning on making several moves so i'm not i'm not going to sit here and say like oh my god the yankees aren't doing anything they're not going to do nothing or whatever no no one thing for sure they're going to do something they're going to do something because the way the 40 man is right now this is not a 40 man that's going to be playing in april there's obviously going to be moves we don't have we don't have a short stop we don't have like like your first baseman is right now it's technically getting it's like there's a lot of you know i mean it's like no so clearly things are gonna happen but what we're saying is right now there's a mad dash to get some of these guys locked into deals right and some of these guys are signing for maybe less than what they're gonna be signing for on the other side of the lockout because on the other side of the lockout we could be looking at a luxury tax threshold that is way higher than just 210 right yeah we can be we can be looking at teams who are desperate yeah because a lot of people are saying oh but the players are going to be desperate to sign too the players are going to point that right back at the teams they're going to be like oh yeah i'm desperate to play for a team but you're desperate to sign somebody also right like it's not gonna it's not gonna be like oh well the players are the only ones desperate they have the owners always carry themselves with this air that like they run everything and everything what we've begun to begun to see the last couple of years with deals like tatis with deals like lindor with extensions like mookie bets trout uh all these guys soto's impending extension wander franco after you know freaking short rookie camp just got extended 12 years what we're starting to see is it's not about you owners anymore the players have power they have power and if they come out on the other side of the cba walking around with the big stick you're going to have to pay these guys what they want and that's it and and that's that's my whole thing so it's like there's there's a there's a way that this waiting game backfires that's all i'm saying right i understand the waiting game and you just said it too you understand it makes sense everybody knows that we we understand what cashman is doing this is not a do that then you got to hope that any trade you started to talk about is is held up or you don't know how teams finances are going to change you don't know if their mindset's going to change or how they want to look at their business maybe look towards next year or whatever that's going to be you also don't know what other players may become available you don't know there's this is a very weird house because i do believe when moves are made they're going to be all grouped together because teams are going to be you know not necessarily reactionary but with a time frame that is limited to say this boom boom boom boom then you're gonna see one after the other my whole thing at the end of the day and i've kept to this is the changes that must happen need to happen this all season you can't finish this offseason and come to the yankees and say we got seeger and we got um uh uh uh jonathan vr because we think he's gonna help on the bench that's not an off season even though even if you up the middle that team was strong as hell up the middle ridiculously stronger than the next last time this team won a light a light matsuya dh that's the last time this team won a world series and they had the formula they had it all when you looked at that team you said there's a championship caliber team no and then uh pitching uh brunette pettit cece jabba aceves mariano who was a beast in the planet zamasu martay the melanson was with us that year i mean david roberts but you look at a lot of that look at the two guys and it's funny because you know i never really thought about this until this moment right now if you look at the 09 off season it's almost what the yankees had to do right now they added two strikeout pictures cece sebastian aj burnett they added the big first baseman which they obviously need now whether that's anthony rizzo or i don't know how to help the matt olson deal doesn't happen i really don't the the mariners just took themselves out of the picture likely we're trading for a few prospects um you know i think i think boston could still be a little scary with a move like that maybe maybe i don't think they have they don't have better prospects to offer than the could be but that that's the whole thing right there they they're farming they don't have better doesn't compete doesn't compete with unless they end up looking to trade one of those guys that were on the major league roster this [ __ ] that was really good uh which came up and pitched and yeah i still even see it better than what the yankees could offer no because then it would be money too the money too once they come up to the majors you know the money changes i don't think the rays are doing that i i don't know it doesn't seem like it doesn't seem like a race the brewers could the white sox maybe maybe but there's not there's not a lot of clubs out there that i'm looking at are looking to win now that are really going to be able to beat the yankees when it comes to getting a guy like matt olsen and that could take care of a lot of their moves right that could take care of first base and like i said i think if you make a deal with oakland i'm sorry you got to get a starting pitcher i mean make that deal bigger there's no point in just doing it if you're going to give up guys all right then let's give them if it's make the one giant deal if it's taking this long i'd like to believe that that it's because they're trying to exp they're doing their best to expand it and not that they're lowballing them with the offer it's either that or it could also be that oakland is also doing what the yankees are doing with a big free asian they're saying let rizzo go let freeman go and then we got to feel the play open whoever's rizzo if they really wanted to they could deal due to spring training that they wanted to they have they could hold they could they could hold on to them and deal with the at the at the trade deadline they'll get more now likely to they know they know they know that now this off season is is the peak so i mean i'm i'm honestly i i believe that deal is eventually going to happen at some point so i think their first video is going to be that route and it just makes more sense too because if you do eventually spend money on on a short slab if you do especially uh spend money let's say on robbie ray we know it's not going to be cheap and if you do that that locks you in right that locks you in for first base is not going to be too expensive 8 million or so depending on if you do move uh uh uh um herman or or voight or one of these guys you're also saving money there so you could still be moved exactly these are guys who are most likely gonna be moved no doubt about it so you're still saving money in in certain places like that so the yankees off season plan i feel like is well known by the majority of fans we know what they what they should do and i think that's the reason why a lot of us are just like but there's been nothing yet so all of it could come at one time all of it could come very quickly but i think there are certain moves that just make more logical sense because the yankees aren't going to go dish out 300 plus guys they're not going to do that i i i feel overly confident now that we're not going to see that happen maybe it does and i told you i said it a hundred times if it's wrong i'll be happy to say i was wrong i did not and based off the people telling me it i don't see the yankees doing it now i know your past sins and all these other guys saying they're gonna make a huge splash they're gonna you know they're gonna spend the money i don't see it i don't i don't see it i don't see it happening maybe it will but when it comes to the logical moves there are still so many out there without having to spend a ton of money that they could make to greatly improve this team it's just that they they have to go and do it and and right now you know there hasn't been a you know a jump in the gun to do so i'm still i'm i'm still a maybe on like the big short stop signing i don't know but do you think a 300 plus million i say maybe i say maybe the only reason i say maybe is this if the luxury tax threshold goes up to freaking 2 30 yeah or 240 or some [ __ ] like that then 300 another 300 million dollar deal is not going to do anything to the yankees but it's happening i could see them do it but if that doesn't yeah also it is it is house time and he does want to resign judge so that's that's the thing yeah but to me that's that's what that's what keeps me like at bay with it right now because like i don't know what the luxury tax is gonna be after the new cba is signed i know they want to sign judge i know they want to sign a pitcher i know they have to pay somebody at shortstop so i'm like they already have cold air they already have stent in there um if they do trade for olson it probably isn't so that they watch them walk away in two years so they would want to pay for him too like i'm looking at it and i'm like okay i could see you know i could see what's happening here this is an off-season that could set you up for a team that is locked in for the next three three four seasons that's right and this is who you're going with and then you just add and plug and plug and play when you need to yep right that's what has me like saying i'm iffy on it because i don't know what the cba is going to be yeah if i know for a fact that the cba is going to be the the luxury tax threshold is 2 35 next year or 2 30 or 2 40. that's 240 is crazy 240 i don't know how they don't sign correa and just say [ __ ] it because why not give me correa give me robbie ray like we can add both of them and still be under like get the [ __ ] out like like barely over um so that's what's gonna really upset fans when it actually happens and they don't do the moves exactly see that that's really gonna upset fans that's that would be where you really like and that's where i would really like lose it because i just feel like you stayed under the threshold last year the threshold went up this year and you still didn't sign one of these guys like what like well let me let me not say lose it because like say the threshold does go up to 230 240 and they don't get correa they don't get seeger but they get robbie ray they get story and they get like good pals and friends or whatever but whatever geo's approach is to hitting he can afford to do that labor cannot quickly reconnect he needs to be with somebody like judge who's gonna get him to that laser focus or whatever because there's some i'm telling you and that's why like i said like oh yeah you end up with somebody like korea and i know correa will he will be on glaber torres ass from day everything play out and then you'll be able to come back with it and now if he does get fully exonerated and all that which is that what that's what it looks like right now yep now he can come back like you know african-american kids to want to like come up in the game which doesn't make the game inherently racist there's just certain things about it that you if you made changes it would obviously appeal more if you made the game more accessible to people you know of african-american descent and inner cities and things like that or whatever you would be able to get more there's a lot of things like that there's a lot there's a lot but to say that oh it's like no no that's that's that's not true like cece sabathia just retired from the new york yankees we love that that man is a darker than you are marcus strowman there are people there are people in this new york yankee fan base who would die for submarines for real huge severino fans huge huge huge i love the guy's energy i people make comments and they get called racist or this or that a lot of it is actually ignorance a lot of that's what it was actually pure ignorant racist is different when you're racist you can't signed for i can't wait to see who gives you money but there's what people don't understand is that there's there's a whole other side to this when it comes to business he's gonna make it about race watching when he eventually signs he's gonna make it a huge race thing he probably will 100 percent 100 because he's already making it about race judging by the tweets that judging by the tweets that he's liking but i'm i i couldn't disagree more i'm sorry i couldn't disagree more and just i don't know if you if marcus strowman ever saw this if somebody ever shows i'm a person of color right now i understand the game better as much or as better than anyone else and he doesn't even understand his own market the reason that marcus strowman isn't signed yet is because he's viewed as one of the better starters in the market the market never starts at the top yep it always starts in the middle or towards the bottom so they go there's teams who know that they're completely out of the running for certain guys and so they start at the middle or the bottom you think carlos correa is worried right now that baez is getting all this attention no because he knows that he's carlos freaking correa and he's viewed as way better than javi baez and so he is going to get his when javi baez is out of the way let the teams who are in on that level get out of the way you think robbie ray cares that the mets are talking to gosmen and that all these people are talking to god you think robbie ray's at home worrying biting his nails like oh my god maybe they don't want a cowboy on their team no right no cowboy gonna do in new york he knows that they're getting the middle tier out of the way they got verlander out of the way you got thor out of the way you got mats out of the way you got contract where he makes almost 20 million a year he's darker than you he's older than you like what are you talking about so they're racist they could have went and got comfortable then conforto's into what i talked about in the original in the original thumbnail of this video the disconnect between the new york yankees and their fan base because i wanna i to harp on this a little bit because there's a disconnect and some of it's the fans fault some of us the yankees but they did a great job with pr the yankees have done a tremendous job with pr they have done a great job with pr they've done an amazing job on the public relations side getting the fans to truly buy in to what they're doing all right and if anybody does any super chats or any questions i will get to them as soon as i can but let me finish let me finish this up here first and then we'll get into all the questions we got time to talk today i'm chilling look you know your boys healing up i had my first uh uh um for a while if you have followed me on this page you guys have heard me for a very long time talk about the obvious disconnect between the fan base and the front office now should the fan base dictate every move the yankees make no of course not but the fan base is pretty knowledgeable on what this team needs because who pays more attention to than fans do fans are right there fans are watching yes we don't get the inside information yes we don't see what happens in a clubhouse yes we don't see the type of things that you know maybe we need to have a little more insight on to make certain decisions but for years now during these chats um during my regular videos whether it was me doing a video france is doing a video or be doing a video felix doing his videos doesn't matter who it was we've really shared the same message that the yankees we know what they need to do but the yankees have not done it and we're kind of seeing that trend in that direction today i would say and you guys tell me if i'm wrong or not i would say roughly 70 percent of the fan base wanted aaron boone gone because they have felt he is not the proper manager for this club what do the yankees do to start the offseason boom bring aaron boone right back and they tell us to our face he's one of the best managers in the game they have told us to our face he's not a puppet they have told us to face analytics or not making all the decisions they have told us to her face well you know ask brian i told him you go out there brian you go out there and you get joey gallo even if we go over what do the yankees do brian cashman comes out and goes no you know we stayed under the luxury tax we gave up some more guys that he pay everything we stayed under so not only is there a disconnect between the team and the fan base there's a disconnect up top we also heard i'm just gonna throw quotes at it because this is so damn obvious now we have also heard brian cashman come out and go well um no aaron knew aaron boone knew before he signed here that phil nevin his best friend was gone aaron boone comes out 20 minutes later and goes well if i knew that i don't think i would be here right now what excuse me sir and what are we getting again this off season we are getting the same exact messaging once again we're being told guys we will spend all the money in the world we'll do we got there is no limits now by all means should the new york yankees come out and say we're not going to spend of course not because you don't know what could fall to you but there is a severe disconnect among this club and its fan base the fan base i've been saying for years we need some speed we need athletes we needed a lefty batter so which brian cashman did go do we need versatility we need guys who go first to third guys remember let's get those likes up i want to try to hit 200 likes while we're in here right now we're about we're about to hit over 60. got almost 200 people in here so let's get those likes up and share please share greatly appreciate it but that's where we are we got the fan base feeling that we know what this team needs to do but they have not done it the fans have had an idea of what this team needs to do for years now i'm not talking about this off season and we're going to get to this off season right after this but there is a major disconnect here how do you fix that i don't know they've told us analytics isn't playing the pure role of everything here but it's obvious it is it's about as clear as day it's about as clear as day and unfortunately you have a lot of the fan base who has bought into this idea you have a lot of the fan base who has bought into when the yankees will come out and say hey guys we tried it didn't work out they'll sit there and argue with you well they tried well the yankees tried they went out there to get somebody so with that being said let's talk about the fan base a little bit and where we are as a whole because i've seen this message a lot yesterday black friday wasn't too much of a black friday shopping in a sense of saving for the new york mets they go out there they make multiple moves escobar connor and of course starling martay who was the big drop of the night the cherry on top of the knife for the new york mets and i see many comments and many tweets by yankee fans saying all the yankees aren't gonna spend that much money oh but he's 33 years old oh but the yankees didn't they weren't really serious about him were they this this that that is the part of the fan base who will never dare to put enough pressure on this ball club where it needs to be and unfortunately that mindset and that idea is what the beat riders are also pushing the majority of them it's what the yes network tells you it's what all the wfans and all the stations out there talking about the yankees that have a platform we're not gonna do that here now by all means if we have a teammate who feels that way they're allowed to do what they want they're allowed to come on ny news and say it because that's their realness that's what they really believe in that's okay i'm here to tell you what pete's realness is ny news real talk for the real fan real talk for the real fan that's what you're always gonna get here so when i'm told and i'm looking at these comments dude is 33 years old you wouldn't give him four years because he's too old have you seen martay's body type have you seen marte's body type fam if you think 19 million a year for stalin marte is a bad signing you're out your freaking mind and if you also have the idea that that's out of the range for the yankees they go like another club i gotta keep it real with you for a second if 19 million is too much for the yankees to get an elite center fielder great speed great shape great defense great good arm great speed lead off hitter he checks every single box if you guys remember i talked about the video the other day that will never happen of course cedric mullins but i talked about it because it was news and it's exciting and it would make sense those are the type of guys that check every single box the yankees and yankee fans feel it was too old he was too old he was too old because apparently yankee fans have forgot that we are a win-now team yankee fans have forgot that we need to win a world series yesterday and when you lose that mindset you have now given in to new ownership you have now given in to the hal steinberg and new york yankees you have now given in to being mediocre you have now given in to the excuses you have now given in to second third fourth and fifth place that's what you have now given into so by all means by all means does this really affect the yankees in a major way that they can't have a good offseason no no so maybe there is a slight overreaction and that's okay guys here's another thing here's another thing folks and this is something that a lot of yankee fans love to tell people you're hey everybody what is going on pete samnetta here for nyy news there's a little rumor out there today saying that the baltimore orioles may look into seeing what offers would be for one cedric mullins now people are immediately probably gonna say uh impossible can't happen and i'm probably gonna agree with you it's probably impossible probably can't have it but it's fun to talk about so i'm gonna come here and talk about this because why the hell not folks you would probably be hard pressed to find a better fit for these new york yankees than cedric mullins he checks all the boxes center field yankees have a need lefty bat the yankees have a need speed the yankees have a need versatil i'm not versatilium sorry athletic ability the yankees have a need leadoff hitter the yankees have a significant need he checks all the box and arguably it's hard to sit there and say okay well anybody even has been rumored as available who would make more sense than a cedric mullins makes a ton of sense in the world if you even think about it we'll get into what it may take after but look at cedric melons real quick cedric mullins is 27 years old last year he had a 5.7 war 30 home runs 291 average 175 hits 91 runs scored 59 rbis 30 stolen bases on base percentage 360 slugging percentage 518 ops 878. this is one of the elite outfielders in major league baseball with everything he does and no i'm pretty sure his second half wasn't as great as his first but still just an absolutely terrific season for cedric mullins he was an all-star we know that um ended up actually being ninth in mvp voting he did also win a silver slugger award so if you're the baltimore orioles right now and you're looking at this type of thing for a guy like a cedric mullins right you're saying hey you know it's almost like brian reynolds in a sense is that you're sitting back saying he's available you know what i mean and you mean with orioles you know we don't expect that that we're very very close to competing you know he could be available but at the end of the day you're gonna have to really knock our socks off here to make a deal work that's the only way you move central malls and i tell you what for the orioles it's smart if you're the baltimore orioles this is smart this is a smart way for you to do business because if a team does come knock and go hey look this guy fits our mold perfect here's what we're offering and they throw at you you know maybe two top fives two top tens uh four guys overall maybe a fifth in the lower level and you're like you know what where the orioles we know we got some decent young pitchers coming up we got maybe arguably the best catching prospect in the game we see what um what's what some of the guys on the club uh did this year your mount castles your your haze your mullens we've seen what these guys have have done and what they could potentially become if a team goes out there goes look we got some some you know starting pigeon prospects that are closing in that are getting close to being there maybe we can work a deal around that cedric mullins by the way is you know it's not like he has some big salary or anything coming along with them so you would have just about every single team interested in this guy so this is a very very smart time for the baltimore orioles to consider moving him and even flirting with the idea of moving whisk again teams are going to throw a lot out so when it comes to the yankees cedric mullins would be a free agent that's 31 when he when he's 31 years old that is in 2026 so you'll have for 22 23 24 25 26 so you're having for four full seasons moving forward and again for any team any team at all that is huge that is absolutely huge for every team that is something that you want so when you look at the yankees you know let's get to it i'm first of all i'm gonna say this right now one there's two there's two things here one i don't think the orioles would be extremely inclined to say hey yanks here you go they might be but still if they look to compete in two to three years they'd still be competing against somebody they traded and made the other club better so i think that's the hesitancy there and two brian cashman ain't ever gonna give up what it would take to land cedric mullins cedric mullins is again what you would assume the pirates would ask for for brian reynolds so guys you know when you when you think about the new york yankees you got to think about their top prospects the baltimore orioles have every right in the world to ask for the top of the line guys from the new york yankees they don't have to ask for anything less at all they could ask for anthony volpe jason dominguez oswald peraza luis hill clark smith austin wells trey ceni uh uh uh luis medina davey garcia alexander vargas uh everson pierre who they just added hayden with nasa westnesski um oswaldo cabrera josh bro i mean it don't matter you can ask for whatever the hell you want if you're the baltimore orioles because again if the yankees did want him they got to knock your socks off and first of all at the end of the day i don't see him doing it when we talked about on a couple of lives and on designated spitters when we brought up the idea of a brian reynolds trade we immediately said well you know i would give jason dominguez up in a deal like that because brian reynolds right now is kind of what you hope jason dominguez could turn into um he obviously has this huge potential on his back it's a lot on a young kid only in a ball very very raw to professional major league baseball so he has time to develop and you never know how the development could go but again you got luis heal who i think could be attractive uh luis medina who could be attractive guys who are you know legitimate starting pitching prospects uh austin wells probably not so much considering they got roche ruchman rouchman whatever his name is but you guys know who's if you're any interest at all in baseball the orioles got one of the best catching prospects in the game volpe of course to be interested in but we don't see him going anywhere at all but any of those guys so dominguez peraza heal schmidt uh sweeney potentially medina uh ken waldechuk uh uh yo andre gomez garcia i mean it's gonna take four of those guys if you're the orioles it's gonna take four of those guys dominguez potentially heal medina and let's say gomez or smith i mean if it's me i'mma win that kind of guy i'm going for that i'm a win now kind of guy i'm a win now kind of guy that's the route i take that is the route i would personally take so i don't know about you guys but again just as a disclaimer so everybody doesn't get the pennies up in a bunch and go pee come on you know it can happen this trade probably got a better chance of happening than me developing wings and flying through my damn wall right here alright so probably not gonna happen i know the yankees and the oreos made deals before but a lot of you know britain and all that was was gonna be a free agent you know you kind of had to move him mullins the auras could be like hey you know offenses is pretty nice you know what i mean our offense is kind of nice out there we could keep them up there again maybe some pitching comes along maybe some decent happens that we're we're a decent team in two to three is it's very possible you know that's very possible so they don't have to deal nobody same thing with the pirates they got some of the best young prospects in all baseball getting very very close to the major leagues you got to knock their socks off to make a deal and i don't blame them if i'm both them i'm sitting back saying yeah we'll try to trade them no doubt give us you know four of your top seven four of your top eight then we'll have a deal right why not cause because if we can get for the one guy maybe three starting pitching prospects that are close to being ready maybe one of those guys is more of a serviceable guy the other two could be legit potential you know one two threes sign me up they're not then we'll talk but until then i'm gonna say he's not available it's the smart move it's a smart move by the baltimore orioles team that hasn't made tons of smart moves in the past it's nice to see him doing something pretty smart but cedric mullins would be the perfect yankee pickup he would be the perfect yankee picker for their offense that's when you're looking that's why martay day by day day by day by day by day starlin marte becomes more attractive because he really fits the yankees well and you know got a lot of fans well he's older well the yankees aren't a team that's looking to win in 2026 they're looking to win in 2022 and that's the mindset you got to have as a yankees gm is that you are looking to win now not four years from now because if that is your mindset and you're playing it wrong and you're not playing to your advantages which is money prospect capital money and prospect capital those are those are the new york yankees two huge huge advantages over the club over other clubs they can sign whoever the hell they want typically not on their house a little different and they got prospect capital where they go make trades when they need to and they got these guys that are closing into the major leagues also to help them so they got the best of both worlds right now they just got to use utilize it that way the new york yankees should be the marvel character the juggernaut that's what they that's what they need to be they need to be what is going on everybody pete simonetti here for ny news and as you can see it is off it is off so the rehab physical therapy process starts now six plus weeks six weeks or so um yeah a little a little beat up sore hurts um but hey i always like a good challenge so i expect a much better and stronger me over the next six plus weeks positive positive positive positive but anyway guys i want to talk about a conversation i had with an advanced scout who gives me a lot of good information on a lot of yankee prospects he does not work in a yankee organization got connected to him from a lot of other people but but this is his job his job is to know a lot of these guys that could face teams in the future that could come up and do some damage and no he is the the eyes the ears so to say and the guider uh of an organization that's what that role basically is to inform and let teams know whether it's they're playing against them whether it's trade value whether it's a guy that may fit your team down the line this is their job to know these things so i asked a simple question i said going back to 1996 when the new york yankees gave young prospect derek jeter the chance to be a shortstop now times are a little different derek jeter also wasn't in a time where free agency was you know 96 wasn't uh you didn't have four guys out there who you know will command a hundred plus million dollar contract somebody maybe 300 plus guarantee 200 plus on a few of them and be legitimate stars that can immediately jump into a team's shortstop role and become a leader or the star player team middle of the order bet not facing that so what i asked him was is there any chance that young yankee prospect oswal cabra oswal cabrera my goodness oswald perazza oswaldo cabrera just added to the yankee 40 man look out for him he plays shortstop third base second base anyway oswald barraza none of this is scripted always real at ny news guys oswald peraza you guys know i love oswald peraza i am extremely high in this guy and is nice to know that many others are also and not just in the yankees organization one of the reasons why brian cashman really feels like i don't know if i should you know it depends on what i'm what i'm giving up for this guy we don't know if he's involved in the matt olsen talk i would assume he is because from everything i've heard and you guys go back to my to our um to our uh chat we have eli who you guys know does a tremendous job on everything yankees minor league did a great job on the 40 minute ross to break it up news before everybody else and even just conversation that i've had if you're a fan of the channel you'll watch the designated spitters you see the knights at the round table personal videos i make lives i've talked very highly about oswald peraza because what i hear about him is phenomenal it's phenomenal so for the guys who don't know and i'll be shocked if there's yankee fans out there who don't know much about azwa peraza across the board in every ranking system he's either gonna rank two or three he'll either be ahead or behind jason dominguez and of course number one is anthony volpe but oswald perazza is 21 years old six foot about 170 175 last year last year look at these numbers guys 297 average 38 stolen bases 58 rbis 18 home runs ops of 834 on base percentage of 3 56 76 runs scored just an absolutely tremendous year for oswald peraza 26 doubles three uh three triple two triples overall caught stealing 10 times but stole 38 bases again um slugging percentage 477 across the board and as you guys know he went from able to double a where he was terrific to triple a he ended the year in triple a one of the things you guys again have heard me say a lot was really corroborated by the scout that i sent these questions to my question simply was this would the yankees not will they not do you think could the yankees give oswald peraza the derek sanderson jeter treatments would he put him out there and just surround him by some really good guys his response to me was oswald peraza could start a shortstop for any club in major league baseball right now he wouldn't need no more conditioning none of that again he could start right now with any club now he did say this if that were the case he would ensure that the second baseman is dj lemayo and not glaber torres the reason being you want to put veteran more veteran guys around that can really handle that position around him if you could kind of block him in with a giovanni or shella who handles this position very well and also did a good job of short stop peralta short and then at second base dj lemay got a lot of great voices around a kid who most people will tell you if they don't feel his bat is totally there yet the glove is he's smooth he's slick these are the words that i've said before and the words that he also stated to me oswald is a very good defensive shortstop and the one thing he mentioned is what a lot of the other shortstops that are available what all the money is available that they're not gonna necessarily give you is legitimate speed legitimate guide i could do 20 plus stolen bases easy now we know trevor story out of all the guys available is fast he's very athletic he compared him more to a story than anybody else available he said the one thing he thinks that he will become better than story if he ever became better than story is that he will make more contact than trevor story he's not a guy that needs to swing for homers to drive the ball out that's a gift he has he can drive the ball the right center field that a lot of people see as doubles he takes them over the fence so i asked that question for a simple reason with all the information i've been given i do not see the yankees dropping a major contract unfortunately guys this is no longer the new york yankees that we once truly loved and we still love of course but it's ran a little differently a lot differently if you really want to go into but i'm just specifically speaking when all these guys are available back in the day the yankees would have got them they might have got two of them they might have got two of them in all reality because they got a they could they could literally do second third or short and fill two positions if they really wanted to they could have done that with the mindset right now that we could potentially see correa go elsewhere and sager go elsewhere seeger leaving simeon and story as the potentially other big names that the yankees can go out there and get right i think story's a terrific fit if you go out there and add more pitching wise trades get a good catcher and all that but if the yankees were to say you know what we do have money we could spend on the the the yearly basis we don't want to get tied into it to an eight six seven eight nine ten d year deal we want to save that for aaron judge but we will do you know four five year deals maybe guys you know not at 30 plus million a year none of that stuff maybe we get some 22 23 24 25s in there the yankees go out there and let's say you know we think robbie ray and pitching is going to be key we feel like if we added um a marte in center field or if we make a trade of some sort uh with merrifield i don't know just to throw a name out there somebody that hits a little bit of contact moves guys over drives at the top of that top of that order a little bit gets on base more can run a little bit again starlin marte um if we did something like that maybe just maybe if we trade for matt olsen maybe just maybe we can get a guy also when i give it up haraz and then we can leave a peraza at short let him develop between two guys like a urshella maybe a kyle seeger they end up going out and get potentially i don't know i'm just throwing stuff out there and the dj lemayo maybe it's instead of trading a peraza to oakland they trade a glaber torres maybe they also get a pitcher in that deal so the main thing that i also asked was well what is the mindset of oswald peraz and he said flat out oswald peraz could come up to the major leagues and he'll do his thing he's just that type of guy from what he saw he just he's a professional ball player he doesn't see a guy that tries to be flashy he doesn't see a guy that that show boasts he doesn't see a guy that you know um um you know the saying that he puts his head down and he runs he's a gamer he goes out there and plays baseball so again i am not advocating i am not pushing for the new york yankees to just say start peraza what i'm trying to again come full circle here because the yankees made some good moves when they released the guys they released recently to add to that 40-minute roster they added really good players i thought stephen ridings would have been gone i thought ron martin mara kisio whatever his name is um who's it excellent i hate when i can't pronounce an italian name if i had it in front of me i could do it but i always forget it they added good guys ever since pierre we already know about oswaldo cabrera who i mentioned earlier in this video but if that's a sign maybe they do start going to the younger guys here maybe the yankees do say you know what we are the yankees yes but maybe we can also be like the tampa bay rays just in the sense that if we have an open position and if we want to if we want to add elsewhere because we can we can throw a peraza out there because we know we're going to add a huge starting pitcher we know we're going to add a big center fielder i don't think yankee fans have an issue with that at all it's just a balancing act the yankees can't sit back there and go we're not going to get these guys because it's too much money well unfortunately we didn't add enough so we'll just start some of our younger guys that ain't going to cut it that's not the strength of what the yankees should be doing the strength of what the new york yankees should be doing is that yes we can do the small deal yes we can make a trade because we got a good farm system and yes when it comes to big bucks we can spend it we got everything we got guys we could call up and play we got guys we can trade for and we have money that is the best you can have as an organization the yankees have it they just got to utilize it the right way the philosophy got to be the right way it's not that you spend 220 million dollars it's how you spend it that's been the issue with his ball club how they have spent their money we can pull players from this roster and go ha that adds up to 80 90 million for what and you could do that easy with the new york yankees roster so again i'm not sitting here saying a yankee shouldn't go get correa they shouldn't go get secret they shouldn't go get stored they shouldn't go get simeon you guys know i think story would be terrific depending on what he is i might try to offer him a big one-year deal but sticking to oswald peraza i confirmed with multiple people i know brian cashman said his glove would play up here right now his bat would the event scout i talked to said he would not see peraza really having an issue because of his intangibles because of what he brings to the table his attributes they're all there he said one it'll take an adjustment but he's made those he's shown him in the past he started off double a very slow he made an adjustment he made an adjustment that's what the best guys do they make adjustments they make adjustments he only had 28 at-bats in aaa 286 one homer but most people would tell you the legitimate competition in the miners is double a when it comes to pure talent there is more pure talent prospects aaa you have a lot of your your journeymen still down there guys that are kind of holding on to a last hope guys that are organizational fillers prospects too but triple double a that's why you see a lot of guys make the jump from double a to the major leagues because of that exactly so everything i hear everything i have been told if the yankees really wanted to go to the route of the derek jeter route with the oswald peraza they can do it they can do it again guys this
