hey everybody what is going on pizza minetty here for ny news guys this is not going to be and joseph peta sleeping like cash nah baby i'm wide awake we don't even know that man is alive right now um this is gonna be more of a of a recap video that i that i um wanted to make a little earlier and i figure um now let me just go ahead and and make that now and then we're gonna talk about a few different things and whatnot and go from there um so really if you guys don't mind again as i always like to ask you guys please go ahead and share this out i greatly appreciate it so go do that for me if you don't mind and yeah we will go from there so i'll give everybody a few minutes i know i jumped on a little late but i wanted to actually we had to take the uh the dogs out first doing some detox tea today a little bit of detox tea i'm a tea fanatic i'm a t fanatic fan i always got some um some tea going on but i'll give everybody a little bit of time to join folks and then we'll jump in on a little recap tonight and uh talk a little bit about um i think the big one of the big moves of the day that affect the yankees and and maybe what where they could go from here um and and you know we'll chat about that and then take some questions and you know all that fun but it's not gonna be a really long it's not going to be one of the really long chats i don't think unless you know i go off on a tirade which i'm very capable of doing all the time but uh we will go from there so let's um yeah let's get right into it guys again um basically just looking at a recap first so the first big move um of the day today of course again we know everything about max shares we know robbie ray i already talked about that i already covered those so up until the corey seeger signing i talked about everything a little earlier um that was of course the robbie ray deal which i really hate um that hal steinberg didn't go there but again it's it's it's falls in line to what i was told all off season but again i'm not going to come on here to scream that was earlier uh my voice needs a little rest so i can do this again tomorrow because i'm pretty sure we're going to have more to talk about tomorrow but the texas rangers again come out that have been been aggressive um they signed courtesy to a 10-year deal 325 million dollars and gets a 5 million signing bonus they also signed marcus simeon as you guys know so they really have reworked that infield um in a new way and and uh the lone star state is very very happy tonight so they are they're very excited and um it's it's where they are right now so the texas rangers do something you know you had a lot of guys like jeff passing and buster olney and and joel sherman who all said uh you know it's just destiny that uh seeger is gonna be a yankee and you know unfortunately they don't get to get called frauds and stuff like that like like other people do who bust their ass to try to get something out there um but you know hey it is what it is you get that blue check mark you get hired and you know it is what it is you could you could do whatever the hell you want um but corey seeger ends up going to the rangers not really knowing what interest he had i think the weirdest thing is and this was earlier that we come to find out the yankees didn't even offer robbie ray anything that goes to show me that they're either targeting one specific free agent or they're just not gonna spend big and free agency at all which is also what i've been told and i keep saying i refuse to believe it just because i want the yankees to spend some money it comes down to that i mean i don't mind saying i'll come on here a meeting like my people were wrong the yankees spent i'm happy you know that's not a that's not a loss for me that's not a loss for my people you know it's just information they're giving me so i really hope that that is what happens um so you know he was another option simeon was an option we knew all that those guys were options for the yankees at shortstop and it doesn't work out uh marcus simeon is a ranger and also corey seeger's a ranger so you know it is what it is uh well we'll move on from that one the big one that i want to talk about that i actually think does affect the yankees is what you guys were probably automatically expecting me to talk about which is the idea that gary sanchez has a good shot at being a catcher again in 2022 and i tell you what guys this is not a team that is serious about winning i mean that's all there is to it you know you you don't have much defense anymore of gary sanchez you just don't have much defense anymore about gary sanchez you just don't you know whether it's early on when i reported and everybody wanted to rip my throat out and kill me and came at me in every way you could think of that gary sanchez was out of shape he came to king came to camp out of shape joe girardi was very upset yankees leadership was very upset and the down and the downfall started a little bit there then he got in good shape then gary sanchez worked at it and he looked like he was getting in better shape and last year he was in good shape and already there's pictures of the offseason him working on his balance and things like that um it's it's it's very very odd um because he he has gotten better in that sense he he's gotten in better shape and he has there's no denying there's hard work there nobody denies that people that just say fat and lazy that's a bad argument he's not he's not he's not that's just something to look to pick on gary about he's not fat and lazy gary sanchez works gary sanchez is not a catcher i have said this about gary sanchez for a long time gary sanchez needs a change of scenery and he desperately needs a dh spot or a dhl national league where he can kind of flip-flop in that role whether he catches a few games but he gets at the h and it's more about his offense i believe gary sanchez is being limited because he plays a position doesn't like again you can go back to i think it was 2015 2015 or 2016. there's a scouting report on mlb.com that the scout literally says in there that gary sanchez may not have the heart to stay at catcher if he really loves that position it's really hard you really got to work at that position and stay there for a long time and you do continuously get better it beats you up a lot gary has not handled that position well going from the fact that nobody on the staff at the end of the year even wanted to catch him corey kluber did it jordan montgomery at the end started going to higashiyoka and we know already about garrett cole whether they get to the postseason if it's a wild card game or game one of a big game or a game seven or game five gary sanchez isn't catching he's not catching so what is it about gary sanchez that the yankees want to keep you know everybody brings the walls to bed that that's not it anymore the yankees know at this point and if the yankees don't know they're they're which is probably true they have gone so far into living in the world of analytics that the idea that he's a decent offensive pro catcher one of the better ones in baseball they're gonna keep him there and defense doesn't mean jack and their ideas well we have a backup catcher for a reason gary's gonna pop a homer every now and then so that's good enough can't do that if the yankees are a serious club there's time it's not like they're saying gary's the catcher that's it there is time and i'll even tell you some names but there is time to move on from gary sanchez i feel you have to no matter what happens you gotta move on from it and i saw uh uh um i saw something here um from a guy on here i wanna i wanna talk about this because it's hilarious because i get this a lot this is from alberto honest question pete did gary sanchez hurt you personally don't get me wrong i like you and love everything n1 news does i want to move on from sanchez too but man it looks like you hate him it looks like i hate him because i want him to move on from the team i like frau i want i hate him because i'm saying the yankees need to move on from gary sanchez where where do you get hate from that and on top of that i'm gonna just keep it real with you because that's what we do here yankee fans got every right to seriously dislike gary sanchez simple as that you think it's cool for a guy to get a pass ball and he rolls to the ball he tiptoes to the ball to go get it guys halfway down first base you think it's okay for a guy to ground that and not even run you think it's okay for a guy to get a ball about 40 feet away from a player a great throw to home plate and move away from home plate and let the guy score you think it's okay for big playoff games in october or postseason type games in october a guy hits a pop-up a pop-up and gary sanchez doesn't even touch the ball with his glove i don't dislike gary sanchez at all i'm actually looking to help gary sanchez i need him to move on to go to another club there you go bad dog hates him i personally don't hate the guy i hate him as a baseball player for the yankees 100 but you but you're saying has he done something personally to me yeah you know what he gave me audrey all season is that enough so so you are trying to create something that makes no sense you know maybe fit you you know that's got to be a t-shirt at some point fit you got to be a t-shirt no alberto i love you fam thank you for the question um but moving on from that so this is the big news today everybody on this channel knows how much i really like jacob stallings i thought he would be a terrific fit for the yankees because if you're gonna give up offense you really need to pick up a huge amount of defensive production stallings is arguably the best defensive catcher major league baseball now he's on his way to the miami marlins and guys before i go into that let me give you guys a little heads up let me go back let me tell you the names because i actually broke this down and i actually did the did the homework on this to tell you what that type of deal would have actually been so the pirates get from the miami from the miami marlins zach thompson who is a starting pitcher at the major league level kyle nicholas who is a low a pitcher and also connor scott who i believe is an outfielder in low a okay so i'm gonna give you a better offer immediately from the new york yankees and maybe there's a little bit of control issues here but the other players are better from my understanding of what i'm looking at so when you look at this and you say okay well why did the yankees go after this guy what would the deal look like here's what the deal would have looked like on the yankee side compared to what the miami marlins gave the pirates domingo hermann matt sawyer and ryder green that would have been a better package is there anybody in this room right now who would not have given that up for jacob stallings who also is owed less money than gary sanchez and we know the yankees are trying to do everything they can to save money what do you guys think i'll say it again domingo harmon matt sawyer who is in loie or high a i believe and ryder green who is enable that's what it would have took on the yankee side and if you're just comparing what the deals would have been that's what the deals would have been again domingo hermann matt sawyer and ryder green is a very very comparable if not better deal from pittsburgh to miami marlins on the yankee side so looking at that and thinking of that you have you had a chance to get jacob stallings we knew he'd probably be traded it just made sense but there's still hope out there if the yankees want to make a change you have two free agent catchers who i know again everybody's gonna say i don't know i don't know i don't know because they're offense guys forget offense at the catching position forget offense at the catching position for the time being the yankees got guys in that line that needed driving runs they need a healthy dj le mayo which hopefully they're getting and they just need to do things better they need some athletes in the lineup estevan floriel needs to be in his lineup estevan floria at least needs to be on the bench oswald cabrera should potentially get a shot so if you look at all that if you look at all that roberto perez john gomes roberto perez is also one of the best defensive catchers in baseball yeah he's had a rough year he had a rough 2020 all so i get it before that 2019 20 plus homer's 230 average he's a powerful guy everybody knows he's gonna hit homers thinking he was injured also last year so i don't know how much they had an effect in it but roberto perez is a guy homers roberto perez is a guy who again forget the homer so fit me for saying home run he plays defense guys catch him guys want to throw to him john gomez another guy not as good defensively as roberto perez's but i'm down for it the yankees have to move on from gary sanchez it's as simple as that you can't go through another year with this you just can't do it you just can't do it jonathan my fam thank you so much man that's exactly what i'm here to do i'm here to work hard for you guys uh this is the future this is the future for this is the future for me and my team this is it right here so working hard for you guys what it's all about you know wilson contreras not that good defensively comparable to gary comparable to gary but maybe change of sceneries work good for everybody you know you got your other guys out there carson kelly uh you know that they're looking at in arizona he could be very available because dalton varshall is likely gonna be their new catcher so maybe you got carson kelly who could be available who i love carson kelly i love carson kelly sanchez gary gotta go at this point gary gotta go at this point and um guys you know i i've had many people dm me too and ask me you know um what are the yankees gonna do you know are they gonna make a big move look i'm holding out hope in the sense of there's still things that can be done if the yankees take the route more and they go okay well you know the reason why we didn't jump into all these all these free agent signings because yeah you know what we're not spending the money nothing cash we could do about that i'm not sticking up for cash man you guys know i've went at brian cashman a lot i'm not sticking up for brian cashman but if brian cashman like i reported is being told cashy money's cut if he's being told that brian cash we can't do jack and i must think you guys know me you guys don't get me wrong here you guys know fam you know me if you've watched me you know i tore into all of them so this is not me being cute this is not me being cute this is me just being honest if brian cashman is told look no there ain't nothing to spend he talked about the latitude but you know latitude my ass ladder dude is what it really was ain't no latitude they don't have money then they're not spending it and again look i will be utterly shocked let me give you guys my opinion ahead of time the yankees came out of nowhere assigned carlos correa i'll be at my i'll be at my mind shocked but again but again it's not enough it's not enough it's not enough it's not enough it's not enough carlos correa is not enough himself corey is not enough himself jim duggan my greatest critic always looking to criticize pete says i say fam a lot well fam sorry fam but fam it's my channel fam and it's gonna be my channel fam and ny news tv fam is to be brilliant because you also got mad about me talking so much about january but jim duncan i always see you up in here fam and i love that you're up in here fam and it's a wonderful thing for you fam i love you being in here fam come on stop it um but no if the yankees went out there blew it up all of a sudden uh whoever reports carlos correa new york yankee 10 years blah blah blah guys i'm going to come on here i'ma say cool it's a good start but it's not enough and it's it's not enough so you heard me already so don't be shocked if it ever happens here's what i would love to see and let me get to you guys question let me get to you guys questions and then i'll talk about this other stuff uh cha boy says pirates no longer have a catcher on their roster package gary and others for reynolds they ain't gonna they ain't gonna want it for rentals though fam you know as much as um uh nah gary ain't going to pittsburgh joseph wears peaks joseph fam i tell you i love it i love it jonathan ny1 news team are the realest ones no doubt about it uh no no no doubt about it we are definitely the realest ones kicking it with roy what's going on fam honestly what are we doing bro at this point kill me hey man it's uh nobody nobody gonna kill you fam we love you here um but nah it's um it's a big difference man it's it's it's weird right now it's weird right now put it that way gary for reynolds who says no let me if if they offered gary for reynolds ben sharington should hit cashman over the hell with a phone guy stop it gary he's like daniel said cashman wouldn't do it oh man that is hilarious li yankee king says if money is getting uh cut then why not try to trade your big money guys like chapman stan oh god li it's not that easy fam gallo yeah you could trade tion you're you're probably not gonna trade he's injured right now hicks is gonna be hard to trade hicks is gonna be hard to trade chapman i agree with you on that one i think chapman should have definitely been moved stanton's not gonna be traded lemayo is not going to be traded you got to keep it real harry says serious question how many 30 mil contracts do you need on this team to make you happy actually i'm not for all the big contracts i'm not it's the way your money is spent it's the way your money is spent that it that that is key the the key is how your money is being spent it's not about it's not about signing the biggest guys it's about how you're spending that guys look next year alone the yankees got two two bullpen arms that are making over 30 plus million combined that's nuts that is not even i'm not even counting green in that but with green you're pushing 35 plus million for three guys in a bullpen that's not the way you run a team that is not the way you run a team the yankees don't it's not about the big contract it's about how it is spent and the yankees have done a poor job on that you're paying a roll this chapman 18 million dollars next year you're paying britain 14 million you're paying chad green seven plus million that's a lot of money for three bullpen arms when you got stephen ridings ron monaco monaki whatever his name is um uh who else are all uh albert abreu still down there louise heel could potentially go to the pen there's a lot of guys there that could do that you shouldn't be spending all that money on a bullpen you shouldn't be spending all the money like that on the bullpen the moves the yankees should be looking to do is potentially move of course luke voight we know gotta go and he still has to go so we know the yankees got to make trades and before i before i went off on a little rampage there i was gonna say you know what the hopes of of if you look at this with a little optimism and trust me i understand it's hard to have right now but if you look at this with a little bit of optimism and you sit back and you go okay i'm looking at the overall picture here we need a first baseman not a lot of teams right now you know are talking matt olson but we also still have the opportunity of rizzo i don't think friedman leaves i don't think freddie freeman leaves leaves atlanta i don't know if that's a real possibility i've heard nothing about that but maybe we got that option chris taylor could be an option for the yankees because he could play all over not good mind you he doesn't play shortstop good center field he could play could play left he could place uh uh third short seconds so you got olson out there the yankees got every chance in the world to get olsen and a starting pitcher guys oswald is one of the best prospects in major league baseball i have talked about this guy a lot i want to see him multiple times this year very very big fan of oswald peraza very big fan of him he's the best defensive shortstop in the minor leagues people don't know that he's the best defensive shortstop in minor leagues he's arguably the fastest runner if not top three that the yankees have in the minor leagues he has significant pop to right field he hit he sprays the ball all over oswald peraza could play shortstop right now for the yankees he could play shortstop right now also for the oakland a's but i feel cashman in the sense if i'm gonna give you peraza if i'm gonna add more to that you gotta give me a starting picture i want mania so if there is any conversation and again the yankees keep this very very tight in the circle not a lot of this stuff comes out eddie blanks we do need pitching this is again the problem with a lot of yankee fans the yankees do need pitching you can i'll get let me let me get to that i get i get easily off track i understand that but let me let me finish my point and i'll talk about the pitching if brian cashman sits back and he goes look i know rizzo's there we got rizzo as a backup he already let us know he wants to come back if there is another offer and he wants to accept it we'll get that chance so we have time to work on that because that's a common thing in free agency but if you notice a possibility that there's not a lot of interest as much as you expected or it's not going to cost as much as you expected to get a guy like olsen and maybe a manaya maybe you're a little hesitant to say let me go throw it at 150 at robbie right now this is not me talking as i do in the heartbeat but if i'm brian cashman maybe he knows there's trades on the horizon that are gonna make this club better you know what i mean maybe that's possibility eddie eddie it's fine man i still want to talk about the pitching anyway um but maybe that's a possibility you know what i mean maybe there's a trade out there that none of us are thinking of cashman's done that before right he finds the offensive players i give him credit on that one i give him credit on that one he finds the offensive players he finds the offensive players so um he does that but on the pitching front carlos rodon i i love him i love him he had a terrific season huge strikeout numbers it's never healthy and i mean again that is that's just another risk for the yankees jameson taion is is an extremely good pitcher when he stays healthy and you know the yankees kind and there's not a sure thing in baseball and i understand that i understand it's not a sure thing in baseball i understand that but but you you want to feel somewhat of assurance when you're getting somebody who you feel is going to be on the field you know what i mean so you gotta try to go out there and find pitching whether it's a number two a solid number three you can't count on luis severino guys and another thing i'm going to make a point about garrett cole in new york city gary cole's pressure has gone up even more now max scherzer's in new york cole's a competitor he knows that cole's a competitor garrett cole also has to prove himself this year he's got to prove himself this year garrett cole probably would be pitching this year with more pressure than he's pitched in probably in his career because there's a lot of people that are watching his his his outings even closer now they ever have before because of the spider tech because of all that stuff you know what i mean you know there's a lot he got to do now there's a lot there's a lot of proving on his end ambassador minaj would be great li yankee king thanks for the super chat again maybe clayton kershaw's a target i don't know i i don't think so i mean you never know but i i don't i don't think that's necessarily a fit i see some people in here saying that the blue jays uh losing rey and getting gauzeman um you know and and of course losing simeon but the thing you gotta remember about the blue jays is that towards the end of the year a lot of the young guys started to come up and they were showing legitimate potential now they can have a full year of those guys pearson um manao manoa whatever his name is another another goody young pitcher gossman of course addie you can't downplay golfman too much he's a fly ball pitcher which i think kind of worries me if i'm toronto i think that era is going to go up a bit i don't think he'll be the same guy i don't think he'll put up anything of a year like robbie ray did so i definitely see that being a point but i do think they're pitching still has a chance to be strong and they they just still have a dynamic offense i mean these guys just keep getting better john parker great show just found your channel fam i appreciate that man thank you so much um stick around stick around um january ny news tv is gonna be absolutely terrific you're gonna love it you're gonna love it um i could see kershaw to the rangers i could see that um do you consider javi javi bias for the yankees no i don't i don't i don't consider bias for the yankees i mean i guess you know brian cashman does things that you never know about you know again guys i i've repeated this a couple of times today but i like to repeat it because i want people to know i'm not i'm not ken rosenthal i'm not none of these guys that have all these amazing sources i got a few guys that have given me very good information throughout my life actually throughout when i was 17 years old started writing for ny news uh way back in the day um i've had some some close family friends that know some significant people that have you know put me in a decent spot with them and we still are and throughout the years i've developed some more relationships with people and even definitely over the last six months so um you know stuff i get i put out there when i get it and i do verify it so where um you know if i know something you'll know it put it that way if it's not if it's not the yankees related sometimes i don't put it out there because i don't care i'm just be i'm just being real sometimes i don't care if it again noah synergard i told my team he's signing with the angels he got a one-year deal big deal he's gonna sign with the angels and me and my team like oh damn that's a good deal for him blah blah comes out boom and i'm like oh yeah yeah see you know what i mean and i didn't care to report it and i'll be honest with you felix who is also the co-owner of ny news the original owner of ny news he told me he's like pete you should put that information out there anyway no matter what but i don't care you know what i mean i don't care about other teams i really care about my yankees uh just for fun break says absolutely love your channel you're doing you're you're out doing everyone um hey man this is what it is um you know we built this thing up i take a lot of pride in um ny news and man ny news tv guys is my baby so if you hear me say it a lot you hear me talk about january a lot just understand that it's for you guys you know what i mean it's not for me um it's for you so when i when i know like jim has said it before we always talk about january january well it's something that i've been able to put together you know what i mean and i'm very very excited about it and it's not for me it does nothing for me you know what i mean it's for the new york yankees fan because i look around and i see our beat writers i see what they do i see what they talk about and this sucks it sucks they're not holding his team to the fire at all they're not doing anything like that they're not holding a team to the fire they're not asking the questions the fans want to hear them ask not doing anything like that so that's what ny news tv is going to be n1 news tv will be right here adam adam ny news tv is going to be right here if you see the title of the channel has already changed to ny news tv so that has already changed there's gonna be a lot more change on it um come probably the first or second week of december you guys will see um everybody who is joining and what noi news tv is actually going to be so um that is going to be a very very exciting time and again that's why i talk about it so much am i down for um why are you down on sevi he pitched pretty well when he came back well the reason i'm down on sevi is because he's not supposed to be coming back as a relief pitcher and he hasn't pitched since 2018. i think that's a pretty good reason to be you know not too confident in luis severino he hasn't pitches 2018 as a starting pitcher there's been a lot of injury there's been a lot of innings missed it hasn't been a lot of work loading that arm and that body so for me i i can't see louis severino as a number two and if the yankees try to sell him as this well you know we got severino back that's our big starter acquisition that ain't it that ain't it a a i could see tanaka coming back i reported on that very early in the off season that i was told that uh tanaka wants to come back to america so we'll see what happens there um no nothing since then that's that's the only time i ever was told about it that's the only time i was ever told about it so uh we'll see we'll see uh we'll see what happens there hey look at that we're definitely siminetti after dark right now probably push just past a little past probably 12 today and keep the conversation going and answer some questions at least i don't have to yell too much i did a lot of yelling today i'll save the rest of that for tomorrow so i'm drinking tea i don't want to lose my voice anthony medina my good friend says yankees haven't done anything pete but i'm grateful for you and the ny news team anthony we are grateful for you too my friend we are grateful for you too my friend ryan says can we actually trade gary sanchez yeah i think we can for something of value yeah i think you'll get something for him especially after the cba comes out maybe there's the dh in the national league i think you definitely can i think you definitely can chris says what the heck is cashman doing pete this is frustrating it's um it's you know it's as frustrating for me as everybody else you know what i mean um it's hard it's hard it sucks it sucks it really is it sucks um it uh it definitely sucks because you want to see him do something right like i said earlier when shirts are signed yankee fans were upset and all that now i i think yankee fans got a real legitimate reason to be upset when rey signed only 23 million a year for five years that's a joke of a contract if robbie ray pitches to a four era pitches 170 innings and obviously has over 200 strikeouts it's a hell of a deal it's a steal even at a four-year rate that's a steal if he's healthy that's a steal that's a steal um who is this timothy says tanaka story olson another piece from the a's sanchez gone you psyched about all season yes yes yes if the other piece from the a's is also another pitcher i'd be very psyched i'd be very psyched and are we in a good place the yankees right now no no not at all not at all you can't depend on aaron hicks can't depend on gary gary sanchez can't depend on the rotation yeah the only deals that really upset me i knew i didn't i didn't ever expect max charles would be a yankee i was kind of upset to find out the yankees had nothing to to go after him with they didn't look to do that um but rey and stallings definitely bothered me ray and if if i ranted before those guys got signed it would have been a really ugly rant it would have been no no i ranted with the with the right one i did rant with the ray one um i stopped there but i didn't see the stallings one but if they were together it would have been a crazy rent oh are you talking about timothy are you talking about if we made those moves are we in a good place yes very good place i like that i would like that nicholas says peter i haven't checked out your channel in a while think you had around three to four subs three to four thousand subs and now you're closing in on 7k congrats man keep it up glad your channel's gaining more popularity uh nicholas thank you the growth has been terrific um it just it just all goes to hard work and again what we're building here i i truly truly truly believe uh we are building something extremely special uh like no yankee fan is ever gonna have on youtube at least and it's gonna expand uh you know pod our podcast will go on all social on all platforms uh spotify apple all that fun stuff but we're gonna just we're just gonna have content overload just so much for you guys so much um so much stuff for you guys there but timothy getting back to what you said i yeah i think we would be in a in a very good good spot then and then you just gotta hope and then you just gotta hope um then you just gotta hope that the nutcase aaron boone doesn't do nothing too much to ruin it unfortunately anthony thank you for the super chat he says the fact that the yankees weren't even in on ray is embarrassing i i can't disagree the contract should have been very affordable due to how much he signed for 23 million a year 23 million a year 23 million a year for robbie ray over five years that was a hell of a get by the man i was shocked when i saw it i said i said when i saw the money i was like holy that's crazy when i saw the money that was insane that that was definitely insane um there was a question here i wanted to ask hey pete what is your what does pop say about all of this um if you guys a lot of you guys are new in here pop is is my father so i call him pops uh pop's a major major yankee fan um very very old school yankee fans but he knows the man look let me tell you guys something about the guys who who've been watching baseball for a long time they know that they know that and pop is the type of dude that knows the analytics too so um hey pops had me on gallow you know he he told me gallo is gonna be a train wreck for the yankees and he was so uh we'll see what happens um you know pops just thinks that um he doesn't think they're gonna go by very far you know he has the same mindset as me when it comes to uh aaron boone nobody likes i don't like i think aaron boone was a terrible terrible and i think it shows the disconnect between the fan base and the organization i really do i think it shows the discount i think 70 plus percent of the yankee fanbase wanted boom gone they got sick of them and they still are fire boom chance and you're gonna hear it more this year especially if they ever got off to a slow start so you know he's he's upset with the off-season definitely laughs about it he's very upset they haven't resigned aaron judge and he's right about that so you know we'll see we'll see uh x-wing class says i'm convinced the yankees are going to bring back gary after all we've seen from this guy i just saw cashman spoke about sanchez he falls in love with certain guys hicks is another one of his guys uh man i don't know man i really like chris i like bassett but i think mania would be more likely for the yankees uh when it comes to a deal potentially with the a's i think monae would be more likely oh yeah he definitely respects batting average as a stat i don't know who who can't respect batting average i never understood that argument i truly never understood that argument at all never understood it let me just check something real quick guys and then i'll be right back with you right nothing there nothing there man thank you i see a couple people already shared this on twitter too so i appreciate create oh my god i can't even talk i appreciate you guys for doing that thank you so much uh let's see hey pete which a starting pitcher i already said that one chris jennings i i answered that one montes would also be up there plain and simple it's time to make moves says austin torres i agree with you austin uh thank you for the uh another subscriber there appreciate it dj steels what's good fam peter the philosopher signs of the mets for 60 years 190 million with opt out after 2023. hey i'll drink to that even though it's tea even though it's only tea and there you go look i got a little uh mr fantastic mr fantastic money has to go somewhere why not extend judge now yeah i mean that's another thing right if that's going to be the case extend judge now why would judge want to stay here he loves the yankees you know what i mean um sometimes it's hard to leave somewhere you've been for so long i mean if you guys heard my kevin kern interview kevin kernan told him he was like i would i would bolt to the giants you know what i mean he's a california guy he told him i would bolt to the giants i'd bolt to the giants hope we get trevor story and olsen tomorrow that would be a nice surprise waking up in the morning um yeah i think that would be absolutely terrific i think that would be terrific i'd be very happy with trevor store you guys have heard me talk about him a lot um i like him i like i like trevor stormy yankees i i think he's very athletic i think he can move positions very easily and i think that could help him in the future when volpe or peraza are the yankees well let me just say not when they're ready when the yankees are ready to call them up because guys have been reading the yankees don't call them up um adam says do you like zach hempel i don't really know much about the guy um to be honest i know he's the guy who catches all the the home run balls and like that but guys i don't care about these guys i care about my team my my people that are with me and and my n1 news family and that's it mania is a tommy john waiting to happen well if he gives us the one year who cares you know what i mean if he gives us the one year who cares after that who knows i don't know if the yankees resigned but you got to just worry about 2022. and that's the thing is yankee fans man we got to worry about 2022 not when jason dominguez is ready in 2024. got to worry about 2022 we got it we got to bring the idea back of winning now it's very important you got to bring that idea back of winning now simple as that uh that philosophy must make a hard comeback in the yankee community especially the fan base you know falling in love with prospects is cute and i get it nowadays it's a big thing but a prospect is a prospect they hit a miss no matter how good they look no matter how good they project to be it's hit or miss it's a hit and miss and the yankees are a win-now club when you're a win now club you expect a win now it's your boy fam i appreciate you man can't believe that some fans are okay with gary being the catcher because other catchers don't have the offense he has catches on more defense and offense to be honest it's your boy spot on man i mean i've had this argument with many i i don't get it after what you've seen i don't understand it i don't understand it i i don't get it i i really don't man i really don't i don't understand it um it's so obvious when you're when you're top guy when your top guy doesn't want to pitch to you that's a problem towards the end of the year when three-fifths of the rotation don't want to pitch to you that's a problem that's all there is to it guys you know that that's your answer right there if you're an organization that's your answer right there when's the last time gary sanchez played in the playoff game you know what i mean i mean not uh higashiyoka been up in there so pete stop it you talk like a win-now guy don't you know what this club is daniel i feel you fam i know man did i like to fill nevin firing i did i did i think it was time to move on i'm literally still laughing where did that go i just lost that one i was just reading one of them did it go away oh no i'm literally still laughing about your earlier stream ny news i asked my guy what's brewing he said my coffee that's true i got it on here i can't show you guys the person but no i got it i got it right there on my thing yeah i asked him i said is there anything brewing he said pete my coffee take it easy that's it that's what he told me that's a hundred percent fact uh pete the yanks are waiting to pay judge when he gets injured to pay less whoa sounds like a yankee thing to do uh pete i want to get to somebody's pete love the show been listening for a couple of months now what do yanks do with geo and glabor much love fam hey jay thank you so much i appreciate that jasino you would a man fam thank you so much um you know a lot of yankee fans are gonna be upset with me on this one but i think the yankees best team has dj lemayo at second base i don't think there's room for labor tours and i think as a win now team those are those tough choices you got to make and i look to move on from labor you know i i when i say i'm moving off from somebody and they go somewhere else and do great god bless them i'm happy for them but they didn't work here and in reality the best second baseman on the new york yankees is dj lemayo there's no denying that overall he's the best second baseman you also paid them you should go with them when it comes to geo have oswaldo cabrera maybe a jonathan vr have a good bench player that you're comfortable with that guy starting at third base not a old door who's never played there before have somebody there who you know could play third base well and could hit a little bit have a strong bench why not have a pretty strong bench that's also important in baseball it's always been and it always will be no matter what numbers tell you that's always been important in baseball uh let me get to the next one here i'm not gonna go into the stadium i'm not buying anything from this team pete the yankees are wait okay i saw that one he excited to pay judge less um oh there's the sound i'm not even going to read that comment let's see uh dj steele says how about bias um i just don't see that as a fit i mean coop what's going on fam um i just don't see that as a fit i know maybe that's not the answer that you want oh i guess it wouldn't shy nothing would really shock me but um i just don't see it as a fit have they even signed a hitting coach uh just for fun breaks no they haven't no they haven't uh tyler thank you so much man i appreciate that would you sign up for off season sign suzuki who's a the the japanese center fielder who's very good by the way from the the things i've heard about him recently signed rodon trade for olsen and mania signed story and trade sanchez and non-10 to him i don't know who's replacing him sign me up for that yeah sign me up for that guys i i've been saying this is the beginning i'm not hard to please this offseason but i don't know how you failed this offseason and that's the scary thing that we're seeing right now you guys have heard me say you have a plan one a one b one c one d one e one f the list can go on and on and on and on the list can just keep going it could go on and on and on but right now we're concerned because there has been nothing at all and a lot of the guys that were rumored and speculated are gone they're gone now brian reynolds says eddie rosario would be a good pickup and i'm not hearing many many folks talk about him oh many talk about him not many folks i'm sorry i'm putting my own language in people's uh people's writings here eddie rosario would be a good pickup for a lot of teams he'd be a good pick up for a lot of teams he'd be a good picker for a lot of teams johnny um you didn't miss much man just kind of doing a recap here uh so you didn't miss much fam thank you for being here uh some trades have to happen tomorrow johnny i agree with you i think trades will happen hank's gotta do something look they gotta trade luke voigt they gotta trade luke voigt i i told my team earlier don't be shocked to see the red sox make a big move and you could take that how you want but that wouldn't shock me the red sox come out of nowhere make a big move as of right now of course it's a failure of an offseason there's no denying that there's no denying that as of right now it's a it's definitely a failure yeah jonathan um you could definitely move gleba tours you could definitely move glebe tours and you get you'll get a good return for him still even if he's a part of an ace deal even if he's a part of the of an ace deal and maybe that leads you more to getting a guy bassett voigt for olsen no you got it you got to be realistic man you got to be realistic jake says pete this might be i think he meant hope hope from me but could it be that we haven't heard anything because correa is who the yanks want it would make sense because we haven't heard about correa the yankees like i said man it's it's possible i i vote i've always said that it's possible but again i'm just going off of what i've been told and trust me i want to be wrong i want to be wrong i want to be wrong and i want i want to be wrong i want my people to be wrong everything i have been told that the yankees will not add a significant contract so if they added correa who's going to get over 300 million i'll be shocked out my mind i will be shocked out my mind brendan brendan thank you so much man what type of contract do you expect trevor sora to get do you think he gets short term or goes for a simian type deal he's a perfect fit for us uh brandon i agree uh brendan i agree i think he is a he is a really good fit for the yankees i like him a lot for us i think he's a good fit for his ball club um i think he gets a simian deal i do i think the way this market is going there's gonna be no need for a guy to take a short-term deal i would love to see him take a short-term deal with the yankees i really would i would love to see the yankees get away with a one-year 27-28 million dollar deal if possible that would be terrific but i don't i don't i don't think it's happening the market is very strong we're seeing that you know if you want to take a deal like that just put it like this if you want to take a deal like that the rangers are somebody else not the rangers necessarily the mariners you know um detroit uh the dodgers boston maybe there's a lot of the the angels there's a lot of teams out there that would say hey freak that you know we'll give you more than that we'll give you way more than that jake you're right you're right there's no such thing as overpaying free agents i agree i agree there isn't the only thing about karate but that maybe potentially you could see is that maybe they signed him for a very long term deal and that way that money spread out a little bit to make hal a little more comfortable but guys i'm again guys i'm not the one who who put the information i'm not i'm not the one who's bringing that information this is just coming from people that i i trust i trust a lot and you know before was cool in the offseason to say the yankees weren't spending i told you guys uh because that's what i told you four my four of my best people told me so we'll see so we'll see uh we will go just a couple of minutes more i really didn't want to go too long and i'm almost hitting another hour that's how quick this stuff goes would i be opposed to a 12-year deal for correa no i wouldn't be i wouldn't be at all i i wouldn't be at all opposed to anything like that you know i would i wouldn't be opposed to anything like that i would not be opposed to nothing like that um anything that makes the yankees better i'm not a poster and at the end of the day i'm not paying the contracts i don't care really but again i'm just telling you guys what i've been told oh we got some big news for you guys right now um big big news in in yankee world brace for this one you guys ready chris gittins was released chris gittins has been released wow we're gonna have a we're gonna take a toast to chris gittins he was getting it in with the yanks chris gibbons was getting it in with the yanks seminary at the doc get a little get a little strange in here simonetti after dark could get a little strange in here take it easy fam roster at 39 oh no no but can i can i um can i explain this for a second for you guys let me explain this real quick for you guys though anthony anthony um says so what is what does that mean i might have you guys might have heard me say this and um or i might have said it earlier i don't know i've been i've been live and talking with you guys so damn much um that maybe i'm i know i said it when the non-roster stuff comes out you want to have space open on your 40 man you want to have space open on your 40 man in case somebody else is released and you jump in and pick them up yeah jim is always telling me how to run my channel man i don't know what's up with jim but jim been around for a minute that's the thing jim been around for a minute i like jim i like jim jim been around for a minute he knew everything about january it was hilarious man jim hit me on twitch what are you talking about not doing not with twitch and it has literally it has nothing to do with twitch at all um but yeah i do think well what is it going to be i don't even know what tomorrow i'm more than certain i do think there's be some things that go down tomorrow and anyway we'll have news anyway we'll have news anyway um asia robertson says pete they're telling you to look on twitter um well if there's any news that breaks this bad boy right here gets it before anything gets it before anything so don't worry fam don't you worry fam um oh let's see there was something i saw here that i just wanted to talk about uh dj steel says any new music by the way peter yeah there should be there there likely will be new music in 2022 uh that will come out well we'll see where that goes but everything is done but everything is taking a backseat right now do you think correa signed somewhere tomorrow i actually do i actually do i'm going to get on that train i think i think story and correa do sign tomorrow i think bias signs tomorrow too i think there's going to be some busy news i think it's going to be some some busy news going down and like i said guys um i'll be up pretty early tomorrow um if there was anything to break tonight uh your boy doesn't sleep um i'm always working on stuff i'm always working on on things and all that so if anything uh if it's after 3 30 or 4 then i'll probably be knocked out for a little bit um but again i got to be up early tomorrow anyway got some things to do very early like around nine o'clock or so eight nine o'clock after Transcript

yo new york yankees fans yet again it is felix from nynews.com like always so yankees fans there's a strong rumor out there that the yankees are about to ship gary sanchez to the miami marlins the person reporting this has gotten a whole bunch of moves right this offseason he's also a fellow youtuber with about 30k subscribers his handle is italk studios he's gotten the gauzeman signing correct cluber signing correct and so on this is why i'm giving him the benefit of the doubt this guy has a large following and it doesn't seem that he would uh discredit himself putting out false information like i said he has a good track record this offseason so far so what he's putting out is that um the yankees are about to ship gary sanchez over there to miami and also he put out that the uh pirates are close to acquiring catcher young guns and why is that significant because the pirates there's been talk that the yankees are interested in pirates character stallings who was a yo glover in 2021 and again another rumor is that the yankees are not going to pick up gary sanchez's uh arbitration and the scenario is that the yankees are going to trade for stallings and the yankees are going to ship gary sanchez to miami here's my honest opinion gary sanchez is not a catcher gary sanchez is more of a dh if the nl adopts the dh i think gary sanchez is going to go ham as you guys all know dh has been occupied on the new york yankees for seasons now again i'm not saying gary sanchez is a great catcher he absolutely is horrible but i do believe that there's potential there with his bat and like i said he could completely go ham playing down there in miami so again the strong rumor out there the yankees are going to tender gary sanchez's contract they're going to trade him to the miami marlins and there's a good possibility the yankees are going to trade for pirates character stallings who is defensively great it's a major upgrade from gary sanchez my voice is kind of out right now but i wanted to come on real quick to give you that scoop uh yeah strong possibility and you know it's not one of these uh fake sources online the guy saying it has been right about like five times already this offseason he hasn't been incorrect thus far so yankees fans leave your opinions in the comment section below and like always this has been felix from nynews.com share like and subscribe and i will check you out next time please

Designated Spittaz: Mets Make Moves, Yankees Fans Upset? @1FrancisLee @SimonettiSource

Transcript

we designated splitters live every week live designated homie cause we spit heat we designated spitters friends sis and pete yes talking yankee baseball hip hop on the streets yup we designated yup we innovative yup we designated spit it's time that you know we designated yup we innovative uncle stevie uncle stevie making deals on black friday and he wasn't taking bargains he wasn't taking bargains any part of the day he's uncle steve um that should be like the startup to uh to a met show but unfortunately um i gotta start with uncle halstein bruno this is uncle stevie yesterday this is uncle stevie yesterday he woke up and chose violence he said listen oh shoot he said steven match what you want to do okay call up call up mark hannah call him up i thought that was the didn't uh didn't big pun have a version when he was like [ __ ] on the whole industry that's exactly what he just did that's exactly oh man listen uncle steve he did he said all right that was funny though because you know that was like that was like a legit i'm pissed off type thing i told felix felix messing me about i say yo this man was making deals sitting on a love seat and cracking walnuts just like yeah yeah close the deal just cracking another wall man who you getting marta that's what he wants i do it yeah these people i saw people giving uh billy eppler some credit for some of these deals and i'm not trying to billy i'm not trying to i'm not trying to shade epler at all but let me tell you something your man just got here yo man he just got here he says sir what we doing today he goes we got three deals we're closed already he's just he's just he's just gonna make the call okay cool he gave billy the day off yeah facts he said bill bill black friday go with your family get some things done just start tomorrow don't worry we'll have a couple of things done for you you don't got to come in you get credit for it i started laughing so hard i got hiccups let me get my water making some headlines out there right they get um they get kana they get rosario and then of course they get the the big one at the end of the day is of course starla marte and of course yeah this is not nym news this is ny news so at the end of the day we're gonna you we're gonna talk about our yankees and look first and foremost i'll just say this not a significant impact on the yankees i get it because you know we still have things we can do but man friends i tell you man i am utterly in a way shocked by a lot of the reaction from yankee fans oh you came to marty the people the people like defending how bad of a signing all of a sudden marty would have been who would have given that money and this and that he got four years about 19 million a year yeah he got under 20 million a season yep not even 20. for for the next four seasons i laughed about this on the live chat i don't want to keep laughing again do you know that there was yankee fans that actually said that aaron hicks is better it's a better point there's of going out there and getting them you have you have yankee people out there posting videos of aaron hicks making sliding catches in center field and dominic and winley when he looked like trash doing it he looked terrible he looked terrible tell you guys right now he took a horrible route to that ball horrible um and ninety percent of it ninety percent of the the route was the the fact that he was moving ridiculously slow but you know who he looks like you wanna laugh i'm not joking you remember when bernie williams came back to play into wbc oh god and everybody looked at it was like bernie you can't do this fam they're like bernie no bernie we don't want to see you like a man who didn't belong in that field and you could tell i mean people say oh well you know you know maybe out of shape that's why he's out there he's trying to get back listen listen guys what was he doing make all the excuses you want i'm not i'm not here this is not about bashing aaron hicks right this is not about bashing aaron hicks this is about bashing the idiot fans who were in my mentions telling me that aaron hicks is equivalent to starling marte so we don't have to spend on a starling marte because we already have him basically what where who and where does aaron hicks match like the speed did you see what he looked like catching that ball you know come on bro mind you i'm actually sitting here saying if aaron hicks is on center field okay but just have a good backup phone i'm i'm on record saying that so i'm not somebody who's like i hate aaron hicks i would trade him if i could mine 100 i'm just cracking up truly that fans are actually even uttering the words that marty isn't a better and then they're talking about his age do you see the way this dude is built no some of them that's what i'm saying that i had people in my mentions telling me oh yeah a 33 year old center fielder is not the answer is it what was it was a 32 year old uh utility infielder the answer last year because we gave him six years and signed him dj the mayhew and we were all very happy that we resigned the mayhew we were all very happy that uncle stevie didn't swoop in and steal the mayhew so don't tell me a year later you're saying nah we don't need and it's a shorter deal and you guys are talking all this garbage and [ __ ] about the marte deal you know marta deal martay's deal ends a year earlier than le mayhew does yeah we're paying we're paying the mayhew a year and him and lemay who are the same age and we're paying dj a year later then the mets are going to be paying starling marta the deal is a good freaking deal the deal's a good freaking deal it's an economical deal for him he's making he's getting paid he's getting good money but it doesn't that's not a back breaker contract for a team not in new york for the yankees not a new you're the problem what what organization are we that's the only issue here we've become the kansas city yankees according to the fans they're talking about oh no we can't spend that kind of we can't afford that what and i'm a circle i'm a circle back to marte but the other thing i want to say make no mistake about this because i feel like some people got it confused somewhere i saw it in the mentions on on my tweet i saw it in the mentions on your tweet because we both had a similar tweets that kind of blew up and some people don't seem to get it they think that we're we're upset about all of the moves that the mets made no and we feel like and we and we're like oh no we wanted all of those guys and the mets stole all of those guys no no no no no no no no no no they just want to stupid read into what we're saying we were speaking like i was speaking specifically about starling marty and so was pete mark canna i came out and said he i think he was a great signing for the meds i think all the signings were good for the mets all of them were good for the match all of them were looking escobar listen escobar canna two great signings for the men's if the yankees would have signed either canna or escobar i would have been like what are we doing like i don't i don't get it like right escobar it's like we already got dj and i like dj better i think he's a better version of that are we trading geo then he's taken over exactly i would have been like what's happening here because that score play escobar plays second and third you know he's a i'm like yeah he's a good clubhouse guy but i'm like yeah is that what like i would have been confused if the yankees weren't assigned to i agree so no i wasn't i didn't feel any kind of way that the mets got him other than happy for the mets fans i was like that's a good pick up congrats mark canna same thing oh yeah we do need that we do need outfield but ken is not the kind of outfielder that we need so when they signed him i was like oh i see what they're doing i was like that's good for them because they need that they need that and they're gonna need that so i was like okay yeah ken a great pickup had a decent year in oakland and i mean the way he hits over there is kind you got to kind of take with a grain of salt because he hit it he did it in such a shitty ballpark that it's like put him in a put him in a ballpark that plays even half a little bit more friendly to hitters and he's probably going to put up a lot better numbers so i think again can a good deal shouts out to the mess for those two very good deal for the mets what we were talking about though was only starling martin it was only him he was the only player that the mets and the yankees together were going after along with a slew of other teams the phillies were in our hearts the marlins the marlins made a big push for martay which now i mean side sidebar or whatever but now you know now they're saying that they shifted after losing out on marta they shifted to castellanos that's going to be interesting because there's a lot of teams that want that want nikki stixx and if the marlins come in and swoop him up guess whose market improves even better which is what boris has been saying all along comforto he starts to look way way more attractive with marty and nikki sticks off the ball you said he's gonna get money he's gonna get it yeah because i and the reason i predicted it to my whole basis behind that was boris is gonna tell him don't don't get scared we're gonna have to be patient and you're gonna have to watch some guys get signed ahead of you but i'm gonna get you the money but don't don't get finicky don't get afraid because you're gonna see some guys go and you're gonna start thinking but dang is there gonna be a place for me is it gonna pace for you and there's definitely gonna be a place for you just be patient and i'm it's looking like it's gonna pay off starling got a great deal nikki stixx is gonna probably get a decent deal because the marlins apparently the marlins apparently were willing to go pretty close to what marta got from the mets yep right yep so i mean i would imagine they'll go just they went right up there they were close they were close they were close right yeah that's what was that that was that was that was what was being reported today if i'm if i'm not mistaken now so i i would imagine that for castellanos they're gonna go about the same they're gonna go about the same um length if not a little more costianas is 29 so he's younger you could give him more years if that's what he's looking for give him the money and miami has they got the paper why not and you guys they going come on you're more willing to go more years if you have to exactly because you can give them an off day in the in the outfield and have them you know dh for you a little bit split time over there so if he does end up going to the marlins who some people had them in the outfield market but not a lot of the top insiders had the marlins going and making a splash in the outfield market like i'm like a marte or a castellanos when a team like that does something like that it really shifts the market and that's why boris has been saying he's like no no he's like uh comforto conforto is going to cost and that's why he said i don't think he's going to go back to the mets and maybe that's why the mets went and ponied up what they did for marty because when you see what conforto gets you're probably going to be like wow marte was a steal which is what we've been saying yeah we said we said the deal for starling martin once we saw it it's a seal great deal it's a great and again it's funny because my my whole my whole beef is like you said before i don't care about khan i don't care about escobar my thing is what yankee fans were saying after the fact because look my job isn't to put nobody on blast i'm not looking to do that but a lot of the cats that were saying oh the yankees wouldn't have matched that off or the same one saying they wanted to offer them those type of deals they would have seen people saying oh we wanted this guy that's the thing that bothers me about yankee and look this is a yankee podcast so it's kind of funny you're saying that but we keep it real that's exactly what it is my whole thing is though why do a lot of you cats feel like every other player that could be our team we got guys better than we don't i gotta come to you right now and say we don't we don't no we're not in that position the cat's saying oh there's yankee fans out there panicking now look at my tweet what did i say in my tweet not that they're panicking about getting a big name i said they have too many moves to not be aggressive i said it in my live chat the yankees have what aaron boone called giancarlo stand a unicorn remember because he he's magical when he's got everything going he's magical i said the same thing about the yankees off season right they got prospect capital and they got money to spend there is no excuse that the yankees come now what where a few days away from december 1st haven't made anything of significance not nothing at all nothing to tip a hand nothing to even tell the fan base yeah we are taking a different route what do they do release clint frazier okay he wasn't gonna they dear fade a couple guys bam the biggest move is tylawade to be honest the biggest move of the yankees off season so far has been tyler wade it's the one that made you say oh wow that was kind of surprising it was like whoa that's interesting they left squid they let squid and tyler wade go to the angels dia fade clint he's gonna be out there and then they'll probably throw this there's probably going to be something you're going to see some people probably react when they non-tender a guy or two now in a couple days because the nonsense the deadline's coming up they're probably in a long time they're probably going to non-tender a guy or two a lot of people a lot of people are predicting and i mean you i mean i feel like you know you've been saying that for a little while some people i've been hearing it for a while like people predicting and probably gets the non-tender um so yeah that'll be something but it's still not it's not what uh it's it's not what the mets have done it's not it's definitely not what detroit has done so far blue jays may add gauzeman yeah i mean it's looking like it could come down to the jays the mets i was told this morning i said it in the chat i also said it on the live that um the people that one of the guys i couldn't cooperate with anybody else said one of the guys that gave me actually to know with syndergaard stuff he said flat out he would he's expecting it to be done either today or tomorrow that he's going to the mets so because they made a very hard push to get them so i mean that might be even but even if he doesn't go to the mess he goes to the blue jays that's basically the blue jays saying we're not bringing ray back and yeah that's open to another club but again that's the blue jays now still getting better and then on top of that that's the robbie ray now does he go to the yankees so here's my thing about the yankee off season i'll see if you agree with me and and this is what this tweet basically meant so to all the fans out there that's oh you guys are panicking no nobody's panicking yeah it's not i i i said this i said this earlier and i'll say it again you could beat a lioness and you could wait to to jump and and make your move and catch your prey you can weigh back but you do that for the big meal of the day you do that for the big fish you don't need to do that for positions like catcher you don't need to do that for a backup outfielder you don't need to do that for jonathan vr you don't need to do that for a starting pitcher you can do that for your robbie ray you can do that for your seaguar or one of your top shortstops you can do that you can wait because look let's be realistic you want to be optimistic let's be optimistic there's four short stops out there that are not signed and it's this almost december 1st lockdown is coming we don't know if that's signed before or after but there's four guys that are available that need to play somewhere next year we know detroit would be interested we know texas that they're probably gonna get one one of each that can still leave you with two who whoever those names are whatever the mariners go out there and they get uh adam frazier hello and take some and take some right out of the of the talk maybe they put that money elsewhere you know what i mean now you got to look out for them somewhere else my thing is eventually eventually with the waiting game one of those players may crawl to the yanks i'd say look you know my guy does want to win he got this offer out there we may take a little less to come here yeah and that's what cashman probably is waiting for my thing is though that's not the only move that this team needs to make they need significant change trust me in my comment section today on my on my live chat which is this is obviously going to be tomorrow but saturday morning saturday afternoon everybody agreed i'm telling everybody agreed gary sanchez cannot be your catcher if you're a serious team you can't have gary sanchez behind the plate again can't do it can't do it then up not if you're the not if you're the yankees you're up the middle cannot be gary sanchez gleber aaron hicks and then whoever your new shortstop is you can't do it's not a winning formula you're not looking to win we've been saying this we've been saying this we've been saying this for we've been saying this for months guys been saying now for a couple weeks right i mean in our group chat and then i guess whenever whenever we you know record do episodes or whatever i feel like you know the yankees are a lot of the stuff that's coming out that they're putting out you know through their you know yes network people and beat writers and all that [ __ ] it's all it's all financial posturing right i don't put too much stock in anything that's been said so far right it's been said by guys like passin and rosenthal that they expect that they're like know the yankees are gonna give out one of those 300 million dollar contracts to either correa or seeger or one of those guys but then it's also been said by lower level guys like your shermans and whoever like no you know word on the street is that they're not gonna be giving out a 300 million dollar contract um a lot of people are saying that they can see them going with a stop gap and things like personally is francis putting in stock in either camp right now no why because i feel like nobody knows what they're doing because that's how cashman operates and you know what that's not necessarily a bad thing because when you're the yankees if you show your hand you're screwed right like if you show like listen this is our guy and if we don't get him like our entire offseason hinges on him then you're gonna have to overpay and you're gonna get beat over the head with the price so if you if you remain ambiguous it's probably better for you right which makes sense that if they are going to sign a 300 million dollar play a contract then they also put out that they're not signing it so that it's not as out there or if they are going to a stop gap it's better that they also put out that they maybe might dip in the water 300 million because you don't want to show your hand but all that all that being said the paris that that's speaking about like the big fish that's not speaking about the peripheral moves and we're talking about moves like catcher center field like things like that you know what i'm saying starting pitching is always a priority it's always a focus but i mean this off season right like it's something that has to be like you know at really at the forefront after you make one of these big moves i listened to boone on r2c2 the other day god bless you he sounded like it was it was an intro it was an interesting interview but i'll say towards the end when they started talking about like free agency and things like that or whatever he didn't give up anything so if you guys are going to go look into that to get info you're not going to find much but what he did say was that you know they're working and they're they have a couple targets they're talking about different guys every day and he said like he feels like you know right now they're in a position where they're just waiting for a big domino to fall and that once that domino falls you're going to see a bunch of subsequent moves that follow that right after i heard that i said okay let me do a little research here before i speak out of turn i want to look i looked at the 40-man roster which is currently exactly at 44. it's perfect perfectly at 40. and i went and i looked at it let me tell you what i gathered from looking at that roster this roster is not a roster that is built for opening day so clearly clearly the yankees are planning on making several moves so i'm not i'm not going to sit here and say like oh my god the yankees aren't doing anything they're not going to do nothing or whatever no no one thing for sure they're going to do something they're going to do something because the way the 40 man is right now this is not a 40 man that's going to be playing in april there's obviously going to be moves we don't have we don't have a short stop we don't have like like your first baseman is right now it's technically getting it's like there's a lot of you know i mean it's like no so clearly things are gonna happen but what we're saying is right now there's a mad dash to get some of these guys locked into deals right and some of these guys are signing for maybe less than what they're gonna be signing for on the other side of the lockout because on the other side of the lockout we could be looking at a luxury tax threshold that is way higher than just 210 right yeah we can be we can be looking at teams who are desperate yeah because a lot of people are saying oh but the players are going to be desperate to sign too the players are going to point that right back at the teams they're going to be like oh yeah i'm desperate to play for a team but you're desperate to sign somebody also right like it's not gonna it's not gonna be like oh well the players are the only ones desperate they have the owners always carry themselves with this air that like they run everything and everything what we've begun to begun to see the last couple of years with deals like tatis with deals like lindor with extensions like mookie bets trout uh all these guys soto's impending extension wander franco after you know freaking short rookie camp just got extended 12 years what we're starting to see is it's not about you owners anymore the players have power they have power and if they come out on the other side of the cba walking around with the big stick you're going to have to pay these guys what they want and that's it and and that's that's my whole thing so it's like there's there's a there's a way that this waiting game backfires that's all i'm saying right i understand the waiting game and you just said it too you understand it makes sense everybody knows that we we understand what cashman is doing this is not a method that um how you say like this is not a method that like is a you know it's a crazy method it's not proven or whatever this is a proven method in business right you wait guys out you wait them out wait you wait guys out wait for the market to be not a george thing you know it's not something that george would have done because you know he said the market and he also had an ego so you know he wanted to fill his own ego up so exactly what george washington worked no he wouldn't he would oh man there would have been moves today exactly yeah what what's what uh cohen did today well uncle steve did today yesterday george would have made a move you know just because he knew the mets were going to get a headline so you probably would have seen seeger as a yankee today yeah it would have just a secret or robbie reyes somebody he would have they would an agent would have got a call it would have been george they would have been jumping up and down because they knew what's up already and he got a monster deal yeah you know and and that's the way it works so nobody's saying that you know that's the way this yankee team literally has to run to organization no because you shouldn't be reactionary towards the mets of all things but at the end of the day there's a lot of like you said the 40 man ross i even i was just even browsing it just now it's not built for a club that is ready to play major league baseball so you know there's gonna be changes yeah my thing out there that i say is concerning is like you just said you don't know when the cba is gonna gonna be agreed to you don't know what month is it going to be february a month before spring training i mean if that's the case team players are going to be well i want to sign i want to go i want to do this i want to do that then you got to hope that any trade you started to talk about is is held up or you don't know how teams finances are going to change you don't know if their mindset's going to change or how they want to look at their business maybe look towards next year or whatever that's going to be you also don't know what other players may become available you don't know there's this is a very weird house because i do believe when moves are made they're going to be all grouped together because teams are going to be you know not necessarily reactionary but with a time frame that is limited to say this boom boom boom boom then you're gonna see one after the other my whole thing at the end of the day and i've kept to this is the changes that must happen need to happen this all season you can't finish this offseason and come to the yankees and say we got seeger and we got um uh uh uh jonathan vr because we think he's gonna help on the bench that's not an off season even though even if you had john great we also signed john gray that's not it i'm sorry sorry that is not it not just off season there's too many holes there's too many holes and that's my whole thing it's like look and it's not like you don't have plugs to fill it that's it exactly there's too many holes and but there's so many options for the holes right now like right now on this half of free agency what my whole thing is on the second half of free agency we don't know what is going to be there you don't know what is going to be there you don't know what kind of negotiations are going to be had you don't know what the conversations are gonna look or feel like and there's gonna be a lot of stuff going on again again the yankees could be operating under under the thought that we actually do know what the second half of free agency is gonna look like because maybe they have information that we're not privy to as fans i always put this out there as a disclaimer they operate at a much higher level than we do so they might have information about how the cba negotiations are actually going to go and they might know that okay it's not really going to go into february it's probably going to go into maybe mid-january or something like that right and we'll have time also you know we already hear the the rumblings of like the luxury tax threshold going up we already know that this is going to happen that's going gonna happen so like they might be playing with house money they might know things that are coming but us as fans we don't of course and that's why we're gonna react the way that we're reacting because especially when you see teams moving with a sense of purpose because that that just shows you that regardless of what the thank you the yankees think there are other teams who think nah i need to get stuff done right now because we don't know what the second half is going to look like and you have plenty you have plenty of like uh teams that have proven that the padres dealing frasier on this side of uh you know the the lockout you know i'm saying that that's that speaks volumes now i put out a tweet today i was like i was like you don't know if they dealt frazier because they wanted to open space for cj abrams to come up right and maybe and maybe shift over to second base maybe a free agent or or maybe now they want to dip their maybe they want to dip their sales into freaking the the simian market or the buyers market yeah if they if they start having conversations with buyers buyers is that that whole thing is going to be all over the place now because right now you have a lot of people saying look bias is looking like that's the tigers priority and like they're gonna like make it work according to reports today buys on the mets are off in terms of like the money figure yeah so which you know i could see some met fans being like oh like what the hell like you know we're spending money like whatever why are you gonna like be cheap on the bias deal when we just spend all this other money but you guys got to remember he they extended lindor 341 million dollar like that's a lot of money they just spent 120 something yesterday like they're spending money you can't be upset they're like they're not spending they're spending they're spending money the thing is that if bias is pricing them out meaning that the tigers are pricing them out of bias because they don't want to price up to like korea yep and the mets might have to take the l there because it is what it is and biases market is is really robust right now you got the tigers you got the mess the red socks are in on him there's a lot of teams if the team like the padres gets in on that too who knows now with simeon it's like a toss-up i mean who knows because i seattle was a team that was like i felt like they're a really good fit he's from like up there area whatever and they they got adam frazier now so it's like hey simeon very nice very nice deal that was a really really good deal does that make does that open the track for him to come back to toronto a little bit easier or is toronto looking for other things like you know right now they're focused on pitching but you see them looking at a lot of guys who are not named robbie ray which would lead you to think they feel like they're going to be priced out of robbie ray which is something i tweeted weeks ago and a bunch of you were saying like oh no that's not the case they're just checking in because you know maybe whatever i said this i said this when we started to see what verlander's market was looking like remember you did you did i was saying i was like he's gonna get i thought he was gonna get two years 40. he ended up getting 50. which i thought was crazy i said he's going to get at least like two years 40. he got 50. cindergard got what 21. cinderella is 25. wasn't it 25 so cinegar is 25 for the one year right mats four years 44 million yeah water eduardo rodriguez 77 they're going to get hey golfman's look at the players too that got the players involved and going after goldsmith you got the mets you got the i think the mariners are interested you got the blue jays you've got teams of money kevin gosse the giants are still there probably with them yeah so you got kevin goffman's gonna go out there and get himself a paycheck and you know who's looking at oh no he's looking at that robbie ray's happy robbery could wait he could wait all day so just wait chill chill they're the ones that can be patient we need we need we need a cowboy in the bronx though we need a cowboy in the bronx we need robbie right in the bronx i'm sick of talking about this you know what i mean i'm almost sick of talking about we need a cowboy and a bronze my man had that cowboy hat and i said man that's it it's like the movie city slickers it's like the movie city slickers man that's what we need we get them a cowboy hat with a yankee logo around the front listen and i think i think that that's one of the things that actually has shown me like my optimism early on in the offseason wasn't necessarily unfounded like maybe we do have reasons to be optimistic because when you listen to the guys who have been in the players who have been in on some of these guys available right sometimes you hear the yankees but sometimes you don't and it makes people wonder like well you know stephen metz pretty solid pitcher did okay in toronto pitched really well against the yankees why weren't the yankees in that market why weren't the yankees in eduardo rodriguez's market these are guys who came to the bronx pushed against us and shut us down several times throughout the year why weren't they in those markets gossman has tons of people right now in his market haven't heard anything about the yankees talking to yanks nope some people are saying some people are saying oh well because they're gonna like you know they're looking to trade for a picture or they're looking to get like a really low level thing or whatever could be that or it could be that they're like yeah let all of these guys go and snatch up your thor's your stephen mats your eduardo rodriguez your kevin gossman's your john gray's your max scherzers and then let's see what happens with ray at the end right right and let's see what happens with ray at the end we know we're gonna if because because you said it that's cashman's guy he's wanted him for years yeah for all you know they have a bulletin board in yankee stadium right now with robbie ray as one of the center pieces and they're like he's our freaking guy we gotta get him yeah but they're trying to play it like let's see look we know we're gonna have to pay him but let's figure out exactly how much we're gonna have to pay him let's see what it's gonna be right we don't know yet but again that's the whole thing it's like waiting that waiting game you got to be careful because you never know they have the power robbie ray sits down and watches greg gets signed gossman gets signed all these guys and he's not in a rush he knows he's going to get paid yeah correa knows you never know buyers goes to detroit correa knows he's going to get paid well that too and you know the longer you wait too you got to remember one thing players also see other teams getting better and they may enjoy that fit more so you know robbie ray sees the jays doing all this and who the hell knows what the js are up to you know like you said the cba goes up and jays go look man you know what we may not be able to do the one the 165 170 or whatever the hell kind of deal you get to something whatever hella will be but you know maybe maybe we can make something work maybe we give you more years maybe it takes that aav down a little bit well not not one something excuse me you guys know what i mean yeah but um for a guy like robbie ray i mean i i've said the reason why i just think it makes too much sense for the yankees is just because the strikeout numbers that's never going to change he's not going to not strike guys out will a zra go up i predicted it goes about a run and i believe that i think his era goes up to the mid threes maybe even high threes but it's worth it it's still worth it it's still worth it because i guess you gotta have guys that strike guys out in the postseason and the names alone back to back with scare teams the names alone are righty lefty that would probably be one and two in baseball on strikeouts if they're healthy all year yeah you have that on your club you notice what you're facing that's terrifying that's terrifying that's like shilling and johnson that's just johnson type [ __ ] it's rough it's rough and i could see i could see cashman saying like look we that's one of the priorities like we need to do that i could see that 100 i mean kevin kernan thinks so kevin kerner thinks that's his guy yeah he thinks that he tried too many times to get him not to get him now because of money yeah i feel like i feel like that's one of the things that like it would surprise a lot of people um but it wouldn't surprise me i i and i'd be i tell people like i would be way more shocked if they ended up with correa than i would be if they signed robbie ray i i would like i feel like shocked at correa also i feel like robbie ray i feel like robbie ray is like cashman has been like public about like his pursuit of him like not because he wanted to be public but like it just it's become public he's been after this guy for years now well it wasn't so close all it takes is one year he had a start in arizona and they literally asked them about it he was like the worst thing for me is going to be shaving my beard yeah like they asked him that if you go to new york you know what is it going to you say god i love it but the worst thing about me is shaving my beard like other than that and he always been you know but just a stubble you can't even have a lot of that showing so i mean you know shaving did like every other day he was like that would be the annoying part but other than that i mean every like i said i i i mean he'll love it he's gonna everything i love it over here everything i've heard about robbie ray is literally everything this team needs they need a guy again that was like sabathia that was just look we got to do the dirty [ __ ] i'm there i'll throw behind it dude robbie ray's not he's not scared to do that no he's tough on the mountain oh by the way i actually learned something interesting about him a lot of it actually wasn't necessarily mechanics for him it was actually weight gain um isn't that interesting i didn't even know that apparently it balanced him out more by being heavier on the mound yeah yeah so he said that he said that and a little bit of slight mechanics actually is what led to him having much better control so that was interesting so um it was bulked up and that made him remember a more command driven picture you remember when cece lost all that weight and he had no command at all anymore terrible yeah yeah a lot of people a lot of people need need the weight to hold you down center you better david wells talked about that a long time ago that him pitching heavy was better for them that's just how it was yeah is that people these days people are getting used to seeing like these like tall slender or even buff pictures and they're like oh my god like that's what a picture looks like whatever when we were coming up a lot of pitchers had beer guts yeah of course just heavy heavier set guys or just heavier guys they were throwing but they were throwing cheese they were throwing cheese and they could control it right and i think a lot of times right now with these bulky guys that you see like even your thor's or your michael lorenzo's or whatever these guys are real muscular dudes or whatever but it's like they'll struggle with the wild everything they'll struggle getting wild a lot of stuff and they struggle to stay healthy because they're all over the place is what it is like they're all over the place and they're lifting weights and stuff like that whatever it's not good it's not yeah you guys know how i feel about the whole the weightlifting and [ __ ] like that with baseball i think i don't know how the hell it got into it but i feel like i think it's like as limited as possible if you can limit that as much as it's a lot of strength as much as you can muscles especially doing something like bass when you're swinging a bat you're throwing a ball you're a lot with the sides with your obliques with your with your hamstrings a lot it's a lot of work where you're putting no pressure and power by you know working on other stuff like that but um oh bro we lost your camera yeah yeah i'll get it i'll get it back on i got like a i got like a faulty um plug here it's annoying oh man it'll come back on give me one second don't worry we're experiencing technical difficulties give us two to three seconds we'll be back this is what happens when you do live stuff right there we go see we've got a green there we go let's go we're back but um no like i'm saying i mean robbie ray would just be a great fit he would be a great fit for the club he really would be and all it's going to cost is a little bit of money and you know um and that and and from there you know the one thing i wouldn't want to see is gary sanchez catching him i wouldn't want to see that that would be terrible and i mean i i i broke that down again today on the live i don't even want to really talk about it much because i don't want to take up much of our time doing it but after what you saw from gary sanchez last year the horrible place after you got what three-fifths of the rotation not one of the pitch to him towards the end of the year two years in a row of not pitching in a playoff game at the end of the day guys i mean that's my thing how is that your starting catcher you basically already said he's not no more and now you're going to keep this guy again for another year no it's the thing that people like are delusional about they tell you oh no but sanchez is sanchez sanchez doesn't play the big games your ace doesn't want to pitch to him if you sign another frontline starter that starter's not going to want to push this copyright shouldn't pitch to him he got he got to throw sliders in the dirt why would you want robbie ray throwing no if if cole can't throw to sanchez robbie ray has no business even even looking at gary no no way no it's like so you're talking about games one and two of a potential playoff series going to higgy yeah like and some fans are okay with that i don't i'm not no i'm not i'm not anymore not at all like i was okay with it when it was just cold catching all right because boone's not gonna do [ __ ] about it so yeah that's how it is yeah but my whole thing too is you know if if you look at if you look at gary sanchez i saw somebody tweet this today there's a video or a picture of him working out everybody oh look to the people who called him fat and lazy gary sanchez could come in with a six-pack next year that doesn't mean he's going to improve his catching i mean that's not the thing you guys talk about stupid [ __ ] it's not even about the fat and lazy stuff but he does it every year he does it every year every year and by the way he shows up to spring training a lean mean hitting machine thank you he's got it in shape year after year and he's gotten worse sucks by may fam he's gotten worse defensively like i looked at the fan grafting matter of fact while we're here let me see if i can find this um hold on a second i gotta try to find it because i was laughing catchers by war okay because i saw somebody post this on fangrest and i'm like oh okay all right i get what people are doing because you know and then they were like oh it looked good because they just put it for american league and i said okay america like i said now let's look at all leagues let's look at national league and american league right and i was going to make a video about this but since we're here i'll talk about it right now why not all right in war in the american league so i'll be fair and do what everybody else did and and go by the american league first and league gary sanchez was ranked seventh overall mitch garver was ahead of him max stassi was ahead of him sean murphy salvador perez he has monte grandel and mike zunino who was number one in the american league those are the guys that were ahead of him he was seventh when it comes to just the american league now let's look at major league baseball because you know there's this whole idea that gary sanchez is just superior compared to everybody else offensively all right now gary sanchez ranks 19th in all of major league baseball and he's only thought he was i thought he was the best offensive catcher in the game he's also .1 points point one only ahead of danny jansen and francisco mejia two ahead of reese maguire okay point two he's also tied with manny pina okay john gomez a little above him elias diaz of colorado's above him carson kelly who is always injured is above him by point two dalton varshall who just moved to catching is above him by point five and then the list goes on and on to your best guys like your jacob stallings your salvador perez uh real muto and all those guys but then there's an interesting one defensive war bro i don't even want to see him no no you want to laugh you really want to laugh for a second oh man what is it 28 20 28 or 29 bro this is going by hold on hold on this ain't going by team this is by every catcher so when i first saw the list right i said what the [ __ ] is he i said i'm looking i'm looking all right hold on maybe i'm just missing let me look for the ny ny and a y and y and y nothing's popping up so i said hold on a second kyle hey kashioka's 19th i said wait there gotta be something wrong here ny i know why i said oh damn there's another page there's three pages all right it goes from one to thirty i said let me go let me move to the next page i said gary gotta be there he is 37th 37th oh my gosh 37th you know what that means when you're 37 guys let me explain that to you that means that teams have backup catchers who are better than gary sanchez defensively this is crazy bro like i mean our own backup catcher is better than gary sanchez defensively guys again i don't know how many times we're gonna have to say this we're sounding like a production like like a broken record here we can live without gary sanchez's offense i promise you we can live without his offense yes we can live without it no it's the 20 it's the 20 some odd home runs that he's going to spray in here and there whatever it's like if we if we keep joking again that one hot streak a year like that people people when he's back yeah yeah every every year he comes back listen i loved i i loved gary sanchez as much as as much as the next guy did but you know you got we got to move on it's about winning it's about winning gary sanchez as a catcher just doesn't seem like a winning move i'm sorry he's not i'm sorry if that hurts people's feelings or whatever but it's surrendering it's waving to white's leg it's waving the white flag if i'm look if i'm in those meetings with brian cashman i swear to god i wish i could be um i'll never be welcomed to him but that's okay but if i'm in those meetings and i'm sitting there i i look across the table to all the pro scouts probably actually yankees probably won't have that if i got all the analytical nerds around them and i'm just looking at all of them saying do we got to get cole on the phone do we got to get montgomery on the phone kluber's a free agent but you guys want to call him up real quick you want to call him to see what he thinks i'm i mean are we really kidding ourselves here to continue this guy to throw him back out and then and then you wonder why there's people like pizzamanetti of ny news who's talking about an obvious disconnect between a fan base and the ownership and the team because fans have known this [ __ ] for years and they keep running the same guy out there going guys it's gonna work this year this year this year every good team has a strong middle of the lineup middle of middle of the of the infield they're strong up the middle champions which means start starting pitching catcher second base shortstop center field francis the last time we won the world series um who was the who who do we have there in center field talk about catching okay well let's play a game that i love to play it makes me very sad but i love to play it look at the 2009 yankees world series lineup it's gonna make me very sad but let's do it let's do it this is a game guys this is a game this is a game that i love that i love to play it's fun because you probably could argue you got three out of the four guys are hall of famers yeah if not you know obviously and the last one is very very good was a very very good player okay so this is not the lineup in terms of order but this is how we lined up for game one wait hold on is this better be correct we have posada catching chair at first kanoa at second okay jeter short jeter a-rod at third like if you just stop right there that's it who's inside of who's in center field melky melky took center of that game damian was unless melkian okay but you typically would either be milky or damon tell milky or dean all right so that day so when you talk about strong up the middle that team was strong as hell up the middle ridiculously stronger than the next last time this team won a light a light matsuya dh that's the last time this team won a world series and they had the formula they had it all when you looked at that team you said there's a championship caliber team no and then uh pitching uh brunette pettit cece jabba aceves mariano who was a beast in the planet zamasu martay the melanson was with us that year i mean david roberts but you look at a lot of that look at the two guys and it's funny because you know i never really thought about this until this moment right now if you look at the 09 off season it's almost what the yankees had to do right now they added two strikeout pictures cece sebastian aj burnett they added the big first baseman which they obviously need now whether that's anthony rizzo or i don't know how to help the matt olson deal doesn't happen i really don't the the mariners just took themselves out of the picture likely we're trading for a few prospects um you know i think i think boston could still be a little scary with a move like that maybe maybe i don't think they have they don't have better prospects to offer than the could be but that that's the whole thing right there they they're farming they don't have better doesn't compete doesn't compete with unless they end up looking to trade one of those guys that were on the major league roster this [ __ ] that was really good uh which came up and pitched and yeah i still even see it better than what the yankees could offer no because then it would be money too the money too once they come up to the majors you know the money changes i don't think the rays are doing that i i don't know it doesn't seem like it doesn't seem like a race the brewers could the white sox maybe maybe but there's not there's not a lot of clubs out there that i'm looking at are looking to win now that are really going to be able to beat the yankees when it comes to getting a guy like matt olsen and that could take care of a lot of their moves right that could take care of first base and like i said i think if you make a deal with oakland i'm sorry you got to get a starting pitcher i mean make that deal bigger there's no point in just doing it if you're going to give up guys all right then let's give them if it's make the one giant deal if it's taking this long i'd like to believe that that it's because they're trying to exp they're doing their best to expand it and not that they're lowballing them with the offer it's either that or it could also be that oakland is also doing what the yankees are doing with a big free asian they're saying let rizzo go let freeman go and then we got to feel the play open whoever's rizzo if they really wanted to they could deal due to spring training that they wanted to they have they could hold they could they could hold on to them and deal with the at the at the trade deadline they'll get more now likely to they know they know they know that now this off season is is the peak so i mean i'm i'm honestly i i believe that deal is eventually going to happen at some point so i think their first video is going to be that route and it just makes more sense too because if you do eventually spend money on on a short slab if you do especially uh spend money let's say on robbie ray we know it's not going to be cheap and if you do that that locks you in right that locks you in for first base is not going to be too expensive 8 million or so depending on if you do move uh uh uh um herman or or voight or one of these guys you're also saving money there so you could still be moved exactly these are guys who are most likely gonna be moved no doubt about it so you're still saving money in in certain places like that so the yankees off season plan i feel like is well known by the majority of fans we know what they what they should do and i think that's the reason why a lot of us are just like but there's been nothing yet so all of it could come at one time all of it could come very quickly but i think there are certain moves that just make more logical sense because the yankees aren't going to go dish out 300 plus guys they're not going to do that i i i feel overly confident now that we're not going to see that happen maybe it does and i told you i said it a hundred times if it's wrong i'll be happy to say i was wrong i did not and based off the people telling me it i don't see the yankees doing it now i know your past sins and all these other guys saying they're gonna make a huge splash they're gonna you know they're gonna spend the money i don't see it i don't i don't see it i don't see it happening maybe it will but when it comes to the logical moves there are still so many out there without having to spend a ton of money that they could make to greatly improve this team it's just that they they have to go and do it and and right now you know there hasn't been a you know a jump in the gun to do so i'm still i'm i'm still a maybe on like the big short stop signing i don't know but do you think a 300 plus million i say maybe i say maybe the only reason i say maybe is this if the luxury tax threshold goes up to freaking 2 30 yeah or 240 or some [ __ ] like that then 300 another 300 million dollar deal is not going to do anything to the yankees but it's happening i could see them do it but if that doesn't yeah also it is it is house time and he does want to resign judge so that's that's the thing yeah but to me that's that's what that's what keeps me like at bay with it right now because like i don't know what the luxury tax is gonna be after the new cba is signed i know they want to sign judge i know they want to sign a pitcher i know they have to pay somebody at shortstop so i'm like they already have cold air they already have stent in there um if they do trade for olson it probably isn't so that they watch them walk away in two years so they would want to pay for him too like i'm looking at it and i'm like okay i could see you know i could see what's happening here this is an off-season that could set you up for a team that is locked in for the next three three four seasons that's right and this is who you're going with and then you just add and plug and plug and play when you need to yep right that's what has me like saying i'm iffy on it because i don't know what the cba is going to be yeah if i know for a fact that the cba is going to be the the luxury tax threshold is 2 35 next year or 2 30 or 2 40. that's 240 is crazy 240 i don't know how they don't sign correa and just say [ __ ] it because why not give me correa give me robbie ray like we can add both of them and still be under like get the [ __ ] out like like barely over um so that's what's gonna really upset fans when it actually happens and they don't do the moves exactly see that that's really gonna upset fans that's that would be where you really like and that's where i would really like lose it because i just feel like you stayed under the threshold last year the threshold went up this year and you still didn't sign one of these guys like what like well let me let me not say lose it because like say the threshold does go up to 230 240 and they don't get correa they don't get seeger but they get robbie ray they get story and they get like i'm probably not going to lose it because i'm going to be like i'd be happy about that i'm like we got better we got better tell you something you changed three positions if you could if you could change three yeah let me let me i'll bump it up to four i'll bump it up to four just to be fair just be friend i already said i don't think shortstop is the major priority that everybody's talking about i think it is just because of the names available but i think if you upgraded that olsen if you get a catcher if you upgrade a starting pitcher and then of course you get a shortstop whoever that may be i think that's enough and that's me saying it i'm not an easy sell i'm a hard sell i've said that i've said that you're probably coming march you know ny news tv jumps up in january you're probably gonna hear pete complaining i'm just keeping it real because i don't have faith in the team right now and the [ __ ] i hear is not cute you know and i try to report most of it some of it i don't report out there i tell you guys about it because i can't corroborate it yet with anybody else and when i do it then i'll report it i'll put it out there but a lot of the [ __ ] i'm hearing isn't cute so you know because of right now i'm not the most you know i'm not hopping up and down but like you said you were right if we didn't get correa if we didn't get seeger you end up getting story even if it's a one-year deal you you get olson over there you sign robbie ray also and maybe you get a uh you trade you trade for catching i'm telling you right now i'm gonna pat brian cashman on the back and i'm saying look for what you were given you did a hell of a job with what you were given without the big money without steinberg saying he go kid here's a blank checkbook have fun without that being said you did a good job cash i'll pat you on the back but i'm not patting nobody on a bag if they gonna play the waiting game they're gonna lock up correa or seeger and say yeah we also got olsen yeah the offense is cute but that's not enough of me it's not enough for me all right we got it we got we got to see we got to see what happens i mean honestly i'm just i'm dying for them to do something like i was hoping that the olsen deal would get done you know before the the lockout just so that we're like we went into the lockout with you know an ace in our pocket already like well we know you know we know austin's our first baseman already going in so that's one thing less to worry about now we just got to figure because to me this just like we said there's a lot like is laboratories going to be there still opening day or are we going to put dj at second base shouldn't be but he probably will you know what i mean and he pro and he probably will be he probably will be like he probably will be and they probably i see a lot of people talking about you know them moving geo and then putting dj at third which i don't like i don't like that at all i don't like it that at all but uh i did it i did it again i got i got a faulty um faulty wire here yeah but i mean i'll tell you this i'll tell you this uh i was thinking about this recently the last couple of days uh in regard to glaber if they if by some miracle and again i say miracle because i have it i still have it really low on my list of possibility but if by some miracle they end up with carlos correa i do feel a lot better about gleber tourists and i'll tell you that second base yeah yeah because he is not going to be able to pull that [ __ ] with korea over there he shouldn't be like that correa is not going to have that [ __ ] not not running not hustling into first base not running balls out errors and [ __ ] like correa is not gonna have that he would be an amazing influence for somebody like labor tourists he might he might unlock that potential in clever tourists that they've been trying to sell us all for years fire under his ass taurus is worrying me that he's headed down to gary sanchez's path very quickly i remember i i said it uh it was towards the end of the season it might have been by the deadline that i was like he's really working me on that he's too comfortable he's got this he's got completely something wrong there too i don't know if he's with management too that just lets him lets him do the [ __ ] he does i don't know but um that's all goes with leadership too and chemistry in the clubhouse and whatever that looks like um that the yankees obviously need to work on they they don't design that he didn't listen to the hitting coach at all no that much no that much was obvious tim's came don't worry about it and said it like yes this guy you know doesn't really stick to the uh the approach that we come up with but it's crazy because i was looking at videos of him you know early on in his career and i was just like geez like i just look at his swing and i'm just like what happened it just got it got so much low too how did you lose like like because his swing early on a thing of beauty pulling ripping ball like whatever i'm like he would turn on a pitch very very quickly yeah you would turn the pitch very very you watch him now it's like a labored swing it's labored he's completely off balance he's very very different grounded out to second base all the time little weak pop-ups barely out of the infield i'm like what happened what happened i don't know i mean yeah he's working on his hitting don't get me wrong i know some of you guys are watching this well he's been working on his hitting with judge yeah i saw the videos too friggin batting cage doesn't do much for me that's my thing i'm like what do you guys think a lot of baseball players do all off season you really think they go home and sit on the couch and and watch netflix all day no some of them are freaking games some of them might but most of these guys have been doing this their entire life so guess what their offseason requires around doing stuff with baseball i was happy i love when they see that stuff like oh my god look he's working out oh my god guys they play major league baseball you know you want to try to stay sharp to a degree he better be working out no i don't the only thing the only thing the only thing that i will say about that that i was happy to see was that that that's probably the first time i saw him in the off season working with judge and i was like that's who you need to be working out with yeah that's true if you're going to work out with anybody that uh it's i'm not saying that oh him and geo is not a good no they're good pals and friends or whatever but whatever geo's approach is to hitting he can afford to do that labor cannot quickly reconnect he needs to be with somebody like judge who's gonna get him to that laser focus or whatever because there's some i'm telling you and that's why like i said like oh yeah you end up with somebody like korea and i know correa will he will be on glaber torres ass from day one to the end of the season he won't let that kid rest he will not let that kid rest he makes a mistake you'll see it he'll call him out in the dugout he'll call him out on the field but what the [ __ ] he'll be getting those looks on the field and everything yeah yeah yeah it'll be it will be it will be something but i think i think that's how you get the potential that you need to get out of labor because that's tough that's the way that we got it out of gary's tough love works tough love to work for some reason we were told that um you know boone was just meant to be a therapist and he's not allowed to apparently do any of his other [ __ ] so that that's dr melfi that's all he's supposed to be is dr melfi and that's it so it is what it is you know the yankee off season is underway we'll see what happens um i do want to talk about the first hall of fame ballot that's been released um by jack mccaffery who released the first hall of fame ballot today may i just say this real quick these people shouldn't deserve votes so let me just read you guys some of the names that are on this barry bonds roger clemens todd helping tory hunter andrew jones jeff kent um joe nathan david ortiz justin morneau tim lindsecum john papa bond jake peavy andy pettit manny ramirez alex rodriguez scott rowland jimmy rollins kurt schilling is last year gary sheffield sammy salsa mark tashira omar visquel vasquel and billy wagner this guy here's the guys you heard all those names here's who we voted for bobby abreu todd helton ryan howard andrew jones jeff kent jimmy rollins jimmy [ __ ] rollins and omar vizquel this guy has a hall of fame vote this is how this is literally one of the dumbest ballots i have ever seen this is worse than the dude who left jeter off the ballot and we're gonna see a bunch of them we're going to see a bunch of them like this now the only one that i almost agree with that could potentially be jeff kent i agree with jeff ken what about andrew jones i agree with jeff kent um i mean all the andrew jones defense counts let me tell you something he's one i'll give him the center i'm going to be i'm going to be i was going to say i'm going to be lenient i'll give him i'm i'll give you omar vesquel for sure all right i'll give you jeff kent i'll give you andrew jones bro my man voted for jimmy rollins jimmy rollins i'm not you know and yo no offense i love jimmy no offense oh fema come on i'm not voting for jiminy rollins especially not like my thing is how you vote for jimmy rollins and not gary sheffield yeah that means like where does your brain like where does your brain go that you're like players on there not not gary how do you vote bobby or brady i don't care if they took more steroids than a horse stakes bro how do you vote how do you jimmy rollins over alex roger matter of fact let's take the several years away over scott rowland um he didn't vote he didn't vote for scott rowland you got a better case for scott fam you got a better case for billy wagner being one of the best clothes of all time this is crazy because this is gonna get so this is gonna be so bad i'm looking at this and i'm just like look are we missing someone jimmy rollins i'm about to look up jimmy jimmy i'm today i'm looking like i'm looking like this and i'm just i'm just looking at i'm just like you know i see i know what i know what the problem is here look um i may have an mvp award it's current it's before career hitter 2 400 hits i remember he won the one mv i know he won this is not a hall of famer yeah one two three four four gold gloves one two three this is a good rea a good a very not even fair i won't even say very good this is a very solid major league ball player bernie williams was borderline hall of fame this is a very solid ball player bernie williams was way better than jimmy rollins oh not even come on i mean come on way better than jimmy rollins and people have no problem telling us that bernie williams wasn't even he shouldn't be that's why he's not a part of the core four and he wasn't important and all that [ __ ] don't give me that um he's a career 297 hitter i'm like don't don't give me it people swear bernie williams 297 he almost had 300 home runs as a center fielder bro these are the same people who tell us that batting average doesn't matter and those other nonsense i don't even listen to them anymore jimmy my biggest problem my biggest problem with this ballot it's not even going to be what most people think it is because the steroid stuff and everything yeah i'm i'll give you my opinion on that my biggest problem is this is it's kurt schillings last year and you writers are going to leave him off the ballot because of his political views because of his political views and i hate that i'm i hate that i have to do this as a yankee fan because like curt schilling was the bane of my existence for a long time like when he was on arizona when he was on boston like i don't like kurt schilling as a player because he didn't do anything but hurt me but i'll be damned if i sit here and let you guys leave him off the ballots because of his political views i don't see what the hell that has to do there has nothing to do with it what he did on a baseball scene nothing at all yeah what he did on the baseball field now i guess i could say this was a criminal if he was a criminal or something well on top of it murdered people well on top of it too there was never nothing on the base before while he played that was political no or nothing on a field where you looked at i was like oh my god he made a remark like that's disgusting that's what i'm saying he never did nothing to disgrace himself as a player this is what i'm saying but no he comes out and you know he supports somebody people don't like and all of a sudden it's like now you can't get into the hall of fame after the career that kurt schilling had like that's what we're going to do so we're we're going to we're going to keep kurt schilling out we're going to keep curse shilling out but you're going to you're going to check off jimmy rollins with a straight face i got over 3 000 career strikeouts over 200 wins he pitched 3 200 innings yeah they don't realize that you're not going to see no guys like this not at all you're not going to see guys like this anymore pitchers don't even pitch into the sixth inning anymore all right what this guy was so hated he couldn't even win a cy young award bro the man listen i i really cannot believe that i have to sit up here and defend curt schilling because like i'm telling you i would scream crazy things at my television set when he was pitching against the yankees crazy things i would if you would have told me 10 you know 10 years ago 12 years ago that i'd be on a podcast defending that man i would have laughed you out the room but i guess i have to because there's no sense anymore people are gonna they will comfortably check off jimmy freaking rollins and overlook kurt schilling in his last year on the ballot so he's going to fall off the ballot because you don't like his political views and but but nobody nobody can explain to me how that how that affects what he did on the field nothing at all we were talking about this before we were talking about this before we went live with all this stuff like this kurt schilling to even think about it like i look at this list i'll pull this list up kurt schilling is a first ballot hall of famer not even and he already said he doesn't care if he doesn't get in he's like i'm just a student of the game i love the game whatever it is what it is he actually he said he'd rather be removed from the list altogether because he's like he doesn't think it's right it's it's stupid like there should be a bar set where you're just a hall of famer i'm sorry there needs to be like a standard have you reached these certain numbers there shouldn't be anybody that that allows them to judge you as a person so you don't get in because i'm gonna keep it real people are gonna say i'm getting political here they're a bunch of liberal supporters there are a bunch of liberal leaning folks who see that kurt schilling does not share their political beliefs and will not vote for him you're giving certain people again power that they probably don't fully deserve it's the same people that's holding all the steroid users no matter what accountable that either with or without steroids they should be in the hall of fame that's another argument that it's like i'm so sick and tired of having these freaking talks with people like you can say whatever you want you don't like alex rodriguez you would that's fine or whatever alex rodriguez is one of the greatest baseball players of all time he's a hall of famer i don't care what you think barry bonds he might be the greatest he might be the greatest ball player ever right i i don't care what you think about what he i don't care i don't care he might be the greatest ball player ever steroids are not the guy there was the greatest seasons ever that's that's not even comparable he had the greatest seasons of all time oh and then no no but and then people went oh but to stare away it tarnished and stained the game don't give me that [ __ ] bud ceiling knew all about that [ __ ] all everybody knew all about it everybody was turning their freaking turning a blind eye to it because they were selling tickets they were filling they were putting butts in the seats after years where baseball was losing viewership they were losing patrons at the ballpark yeah they were trying they were losing everything was the humble home run remember the um chicks dig the home the long ball chicks dig the long balls that was the big thing it was all about the home run the same the same wire and sosa i was just about to say that oh brewers he owned the brewers during the time i remember mark maguire will pull ahead of of sammy solis in a home run race sosa would go to milwaukee and hit five home runs in a three-game series he was getting fastballs down the pipe and i'm sitting in my i remember my father do something said no he'll catch up to him because we both we both love mark maguire but we love sammy sosa it was like a thing like whoever won one but yeah these this brought baseball back you know what i mean i remember sitting in front of the computer yeah when game day like first came out and no joke me and my dad we were so stupid we would sit there right and we would wait for the in-play run thing to pop we sit there like this home run home run home run in front of the computer screen and you know if you got the homework oh yeah yeah you know what i mean but that [ __ ] brought baseball back so the same cats that are getting crucified made all these people money and they turned that back on them and stabbed them in the back and my thing is my thing on top of that is you want to talk and sit on your high horse now as an organization major league baseball do whatever do whatever you want but then you know what i want all the right whatever records were set during the juice ball season i want those i want those erased well i want them erased do any of the astros will deserve to be in the hall of fame no it's confirmed they cheated that's not a that's not a rumor oh yeah but they're gonna they're gonna they're gonna get them i already saw somebody the other day telling me that jose altuve is a first ballot hall of famer or that he will eventually get into the hall of fame and listen i'm not going to be the guy who's going to fight against whether jose altuve is going to get in there or not if he has a couple good a couple more good seasons if he wins another ring if he does that and they want to put him in the hall of fame so be it i don't like the guy i think i'm not going to say that here's politically incorrect but i got you know some choice phrases that i like to refer to him as but it doesn't bother me if he gets in or not what bothers me is that if he gets in but you don't let in a rod big poppy manny ramirez barry bonds roger clement like and you don't let them in then it's gonna bother me yep then it's gonna bother it's gonna bother the [ __ ] out of me because the same way that steroids is a stain on their on their legacy forever i want 2017 to be a stain on every astros legacy forever even if we sign korea tomorrow i'm still gonna tell you guys this we can sign carlo's career tomorrow and carl's correa could play the next 10 years in the new york yankees and have freaking the greatest seasons you ever saw when five mvps do whatever if they if the hall of fame comes up and they go or whatever i'm gonna say well no 2017 happened it happened if that's the rule that you guys want to play by but the truth of the matter is that's not the rule they want to play by they they want to scapegoat these guys they want to scapegoat these guys for something that they were all complicit in yeah they were all complicit they all knew that all the owners knew it baseball knew it the players knew it come on it wasn't like some you know the funny thing is when they talk about um jose canseco yeah he was crazy but you released the book juiced and all that started all this nonsense he said it at the time he said flat out the guys they got under congress and all this stuff and testifying at the end of the day it was it was 80 of baseball including the minor leagues yeah so they're targeting the big guys because they were actually good ball players already and this is the issue this is the thing i'm saying that won the baton title one year i forgot his name alex castillo or something like that he did he had i don't know if he won the badass side but he had a really good year he admitted to taking step runs he came back and he was [ __ ] bonds could have got off steroids and still been legit mark maguire would have still been hit at 45 50 plus homers a year sammy sosa would have still been a good ball player a-rod hit 30 home runs at 40 years old what 50 as a rookie what are we talking about here like here's my thing you could you could inject people with as much steroids as you want i mean you want to try it we should try it let them give aaron hicks yeah yeah whatever the let them give aaron hicks whatever the [ __ ] bonds was taken i want to i want to see if he puts up a bonds a bonds-esque season it's not going to happen because his back-to-ball skills aren't what barry bonzas were his eye it was not what barry bonds was like these are things that you can't quantify but you want to tell me that no no it doesn't mean anything because he took stairways or whatever you know how many guys take steroids how many guys did take steroids they got suspended and sucked and still sold yeah no no but they want to tell me no no because don't give me that [ __ ] don't give me that [ __ ] you can't compare it's not the same robinson can know oh robinson cannot take steroids or whatever so now his legacy is targeting whatever well you know what robinson was taking steroids with milky cabrera why wasn't milky cabrera as good as robbie cano right melky cabrera went on to have what 102 decent two or three decent years all together they and him and keno were taking the same exact [ __ ] right the same exact [ __ ] and don't argue because there's people i know people can say oh no how do you know it's whatever trust me i know i'm dominican i've had conversations with people i know where they get the [ __ ] i know how they get the sh i know the name of the [ __ ] they were taking the same exact [ __ ] okay the same exact [ __ ] and they didn't have anywhere near the same exact results because one is naturally just better one was naturally just a better ball player better whatever right a-rod a-rod was a-rod since freaking florida broke i was about to say since college since westminster high school like don't give me that don't give me that like say you didn't like him or you didn't like his attitude and he was over here like walking around like he was baseball's playboy and all that [ __ ] i know you guys didn't like that [ __ ] you were looking for something it was the same thing it was it was this envy it was the same thing with bonds when bob's got oh this he's an [ __ ] sometimes he did something is that you see these guys you look for something to take and now you got it and now you're just gonna stick on to it and that's what that's what my problem is with the whole hall of fame the whole the whole system yeah you got a bunch of you got a bunch of freaking nerds you got a bunch of nerds who got bullied by guys like this growing up and this is how they stick it to them oh yeah well i'm not gonna you're not gonna get my vote you know the funny thing i'm telling you like when you look at that list i mean gary sheffield's a hall of famer gary chef is a hall of famers mcguire sosa schilling clemens they're all hall of famers and to to joke around and act like they're not because of a steroid usage at some point in their career because it's obvious barry bonza to take steroids his whole career it's obvious that most of these guys didn't take steroids their whole career that stuff's obvious but they were they were some of the best pitchers and hitters in the history of major league baseball but i mean leaving leaving that at that i got something funny to bring up because i didn't think it would happen this quickly marcus strowman uh stroh is gonna end up hurting his chances of getting a major deal no he already hurt them he's continuing to do it no no serious organization this dude is going to end up on the on the colin kaepernick level of things he really is i don't think he's getting out of baseball not even in the best way though so joe killer joe said earlier to me he goes pete what he's what's going to happen soon he's going to see the met signing golf man or siana visa and he's going to start calling them racist my man likes a post just now that says at stro no shocker the mets prefer the white guys over you what are you thinking in your mind nobody's taking here's my thing i would love to sit down with marcus stroman about you want to see what that's what i would say to him i would say marcus you are a terrific athlete a very talented pitcher very talented why are you allowing [ __ ] to affect the person you are you have serious issues my friend stay off twitter so you sign that and the fact that he's the type of guy that feels the need to try to shun regular everyday people you know how many people say look how much did you make last year man man the dude bags groceries he's 18 years old what's your problem you're a major league ball player go be a ball player no that's it anyone who disagrees with his line of thinking and that's like i think i said would you want him on yankees no no no yeah no i think he did whatever i also respond i said i would capital that as a hell no yeah no i don't want to do nowhere near the yankees what's that what's sad is what's sad is you could you could actually ask me the same question two years ago when he was coming off a four-plus era on toronto and i would have told you and i would have told you yeah i want to give german a shot because i really liked him in toronto and i said you know what he's a small guy i was like but his kid has so much freaking heart he's a dog out there he's tough i was i really liked him i was like yeah i was like if you would ask me back then i would have been like yeah let's do it then the whole thing came up when he was on the training block and the yankees were one of the people that people were saying like oh they're considering it they were considering it or whatever that year we could have gotten strowman we could have not gotten stronger we could have gone we could have not gotten i think you talked himself out of the yankees interest to be honest if we would have gotten him i would have been happy that year all right but he started chirping during the trading block and it didn't happen now clearly some people like people say oh well you know casper said that they you know they didn't see anything that they thought would have made them better and that's why they didn't make the move he happened to be one of the players that was moved he took it personal that they didn't say that they didn't feel like he would make them better or whatever clearly strowman wanted to be a yankee he wanted to be a yankee when he got traded from toronto he thought there was a there was a point in time that season where he thought for sure he was a yankee and then he realized he wasn't yeah he ended up being being a met yeah yeah but the talking and the constant chirping and yapping because you took it personal whatever it's just it's immature it doesn't endear you not i mean i don't care if you're if you endear yourself to yankee fans or not we don't give a [ __ ] you don't play for us but it doesn't endear you to just fans in general like you gotta look at organizations that are like clean you know i'm saying like you know organizations that just they're really you know on top of their the business of baseball if they're looking at you right now they got to really take a step back and say like but do we really need this head case here like yeah if he's is he going to get into an argument with somebody they're going to fight with the guys in the media is he going to fight with some fans is he going to like do we need that if if why do you think st louis went and grabbed steven matt's just like that or whatever some people say that st louis was still monitoring strowman as of today i don't think they make a play for him why why do you need that instead yeah i don't no i'm like um uh i i actually just this the first time i looked at like his likes on his i'm like i'm like almost in like a world of amazement here yeah people hate him like you because of your skin color i'm like that's not no no he likes a lot of stuff he likes a lot of stuff like that because he feels like does it give him like like confidence to keep doing this type i don't understand i'm very confused here and it's not see that's the thing is like i know like some people say oh of course you're gonna tell him that oh he gotta shut up but why does he have to shut up he shouldn't have to shut up he should be able to speak up not even i would say this bro i've said this about trevor bauer last year so don't come to me with that [ __ ] like oh you would you wouldn't say no i would because i said it to trevor bauer who is a white starting pitcher in the major leagues and a way better starting pitcher than strowman is i told him that he should have shut up last year when they were doing all the tweeting right all the videos because now it talks like he was actually oh yeah yeah but but i'm even though even with the sexual assault now it looks like he's actually right yeah so you know he was defending is that that he actually didn't do it but you see that that that all of a sudden i guess the right people got to trevor and when the whole sexual allegation [ __ ] came out that he was talking talking talking somebody must have got them and say you know what yup just be quiet stop talking stop or whatever let everything play out and then you'll be able to come back with it and now if he does get fully exonerated and all that which is that what that's what it looks like right now yep now he can come back and say whatever the [ __ ] he wants yeah and he's going to because he already started you know what i mean he's pretty confident because he already kind of started yeah now he can come back and say whatever he wants and you're not gonna be able to say nothing and that's what strongly could do the same thing though what do you sit there and be like bro you're you know you're saying [ __ ] about like the biggest market in the planet bro i would have taken him out literally like he's calling mets fans racist he's liking post that says there's a there's a majority of mets fans that are racist he said that about the fans he liked it so writing on the wall stro going elsewhere it's a shame most of ny wants him there's a there's a subset of racist fans that screw any of his comments towards him not being able to handle new york which is false and he likes oh that's he liked that tweet also i didn't see that i'm just like yeah but there's a ton of them there's a i didn't know this there i i just the first time i looked at this dude's likes i'm like i'd want this dude nowhere near this club here's another one no no he can't wait for me to go out there and prove all the haters wrong they're only hating on you because you're a skin color all right what what what fans i mean who are these people it has nothing to do they don't like marcus strowman because he has a small man syndrome he if i was blind if i was blind i would have a problem with marcus it's it's the attitude it's the attitude it's the attitude and that and i'm not about guys like tory hunter exactly no dory hunter talked about um there not being enough black players in baseball he talked about he talked about issues but he worried about it the right way or how about this how about how about andrew mccutchen andrew mccutchen cause he was like they shouldn't make me you know take my my dreads off what i got i'm doing it but my thing is like andrew mccutchen has talked about there now cece's a bathtub about not being enough i have never seen them come out as like well the reason is because baseball's racist i have never heard them say that i have never heard them say well the fans are racist or this one's racist that they never there's things everything is racist yeah there's things about the there's things about the game that that are like how you say they limit the interest of like you know african-american kids to want to like come up in the game which doesn't make the game inherently racist there's just certain things about it that you if you made changes it would obviously appeal more if you made the game more accessible to people you know of african-american descent and inner cities and things like that or whatever you would be able to get more there's a lot of things like that there's a lot there's a lot but to say that oh it's like no no that's that's that's not true like cece sabathia just retired from the new york yankees we love that that man is a god here he is a god like don't don't start with that [ __ ] whatever because you're that's a battle you're gonna lose that is a battle you are going to lose we love cc sabathia luis severino is way darker than you are marcus strowman there are people there are people in this new york yankee fan base who would die for submarines for real huge severino fans huge huge huge i love the guy's energy i love what he brings inside trust me trust me i mean severino will have the stadium don't let severino come back and be halfway decent he's going to have the whole stadium freaking shaking more than coal would more than people love him they can't get enough of it right they look what are we talking about here like what are we don't do that don't do that because i could see if it like if it was something whatever pointed or whatever but it's like no marcus they're they're pursuing guys who are gonna cost around what you're gonna cost but probably give them more that's what they're doing it's called business it's called business not to mention that the guys are pursuing aren't gonna probably talk as much as you do yep that's another thing that you don't wanna that he doesn't freaking own up to he never owns up to it maybe the fact that you run your mouth non-stop is turning teams off because i know for a fact if i'm saint louis if i'm atlanta if i'm not i don't want that [ __ ] yep but i care about the business of baseball and i care about what my team looks like and with the product that we're putting on the field in front of our fans and presenting to the world like maybe you don't want that that whole thing that you did a couple weeks ago we're like oh i'm never going to the yankees i'm not cutting my dreads i'm not taking off my do-rag um these tattoos ain't going anywhere you made a fool of yourself with that marcus you made it for yourself i i named like four or five yankees right at the top of my head that had tattoos all over the place yep there's nothing the yankees have no rule about wearing something over your hair under your hat luke voigt wears a headband tyler wade wore a headband plenty of guys were yeah the do-rag thing is stupid the du-rag that was very stupid blue rack comic was was ignorant on your part but not even you know that was ignorant well hey one of the things i talk about a lot is that i i talk about that a lot a lot of people make comments and they get called racist or this or that a lot of it is actually ignorance a lot of that's what it was actually pure ignorant racist is different when you're racist you can't hide your racism you know what i mean i'm not gonna i'm not gonna name a certain person out there right now that called satchel paige the great negro of his time which i've never heard in my lifetime to me that that's that's a hard limit of of actually somebody slipping up because there's tendencies there that's like calling people of color like well with the colored people over there yeah you don't say that nowadays if that that's natural out of your mouth you are a racist there's no way of denying that when you use in terms of the 1950s that are derogatory towards people that that's tough that's a tough one to fight especially in america when it was a black and white thing that that's a tough thing to argue but when you're like well marcus strowman is doing i'm like man i see it right now he already had another tweet in there talking about kevin goffman getting 175 million or so but strowman's a better pitcher so what should he get then and i'm like bro i can't wait to see what you signed for i can't wait to see who gives you money but there's what people don't understand is that there's there's a whole other side to this when it comes to business he's gonna make it about race watching when he eventually signs he's gonna make it a huge race thing he probably will 100 percent 100 because he's already making it about race judging by the tweets that judging by the tweets that he's liking but i'm i i couldn't disagree more i'm sorry i couldn't disagree more and just i don't know if you if marcus strowman ever saw this if somebody ever shows i'm a person of color right now i got my bright lights on me in the living room and stuff like that we're filming a podcast so i look a lot lighter probably than than but trust me if we saw each other in person marcus me and you are the same color bro like trust and believe a person of color just like you this is not about that it is not about that and i'm somebody i am somebody in the past who has literally said you know certain things like hey you know it's harder for you know latino managers to get to get gigs coming out of retirement and things like that when they retire off the field why does it take so so much longer for them to get shots to you know manage and to do things like that or why is it that like some latinos or or african americans will do really well in a peripheral coaching job but then they'll just disappear off the face of the earth yeah i i speak out and i'm very vocal about things like that we did on this podcast we did on this podcast yes we did we did it and we did we but we did it even before that when we were talking about tony we were talking about tony pena we were like tony fell off the face of the earth and he's an amazing freaking coach he should get a shot you should get a shot at something some sort of coach listen this is the podcast where we've literally i'm telling you all we do is keep it real when we said oh it could be oh by the way uh marcus i got uh children and a woman who was as dark as you two bro so in case in case you want to pick on in case you want to pick on the italian dude here you know you probably ain't going to go too far on that one family nah you're going to look crazy you're going to look crazy because his family is like but this is that's my thing it's like bro it's that's that's just it's ignorance man don't do that and and my biggest problem with this and i hate to go political i'ma just for one just one statement and i'm leaving at that but my biggest problem with this is that when you make everything about race you weaken the arguments that that are actually about it are true when you turn everything into a racist thing then it just seems like you're crying wolf and that's what pisses me off corrupt that's the pistol because there could be somebody out there in some sports league in some situation who's getting discriminated against because of the color of their skin being held down yeah that's right but not but not you but not you and when and when you do that when you do that and make your little tiff about race when it's not it weakens the person's argument who [ __ ] actually is about it and that's what pisses me off yeah because you as an african-american man as a person of color because you're also puerto rican you don't like to whatever but you're also puerto rican so you as a person of color knowing the struggles that people of color have you come out and are gonna make this about race knowing that there's people out there battling real race [ __ ] like stupid bro that's that's and on top of that and on top of that um i don't know much about this so it's me talking out of ignorance when it comes to marcus strowman but i would love to know what he's done for foundations i would love to know what his background is with inner city sports i would love to know what he's done in that area and the reason why i'm not attacking him for not doing it because i don't know i don't know if he has but somebody who speaks that loudly you should be leading that charge then you should be leaving that charge i've seen young black players yeah i've seen him do a couple of things so i'll give him credit there i've seen him do like a couple of couple a couple of things in terms of like giving back and like community outreach and enrichment and things like that and he should do a lot i mean so i'll give him me i'd be i'd be breaking my back doing stuff for my community if that was the case you know what i mean no doubt about especially if i'm getting a hundred plus million dollar deal very likely i mean yeah you better believe i'm finding areas um and and talking to people that we can build things there or or build stadiums or build fields have youth programs have grants for colleges so many different things that you can actually do to really assist in that in that process um so there's just a lot there so i just wanted to bring that up because it's funny because joe actually said it earlier he's like watch very soon you're going to see it start becoming about race and this whole thing that he hasn't had a deal yet and the pitchers are getting it and unfortunately that's what he's doing so yeah but he doesn't it's crazy like how can how you can be a major league baseball player a young major league baseball player who quote unquote should understand the game better as much or as better than anyone else and he doesn't even understand his own market the reason that marcus strowman isn't signed yet is because he's viewed as one of the better starters in the market the market never starts at the top yep it always starts in the middle or towards the bottom so they go there's teams who know that they're completely out of the running for certain guys and so they start at the middle or the bottom you think carlos correa is worried right now that baez is getting all this attention no because he knows that he's carlos freaking correa and he's viewed as way better than javi baez and so he is going to get his when javi baez is out of the way let the teams who are in on that level get out of the way you think robbie ray cares that the mets are talking to gosmen and that all these people are talking to god you think robbie ray's at home worrying biting his nails like oh my god maybe they don't want a cowboy on their team no right no cowboy gonna do in new york he knows that they're getting the middle tier out of the way they got verlander out of the way you got thor out of the way you got mats out of the way you got e-rod out of the way they're getting all these people all the way strowman is actually viewed by most of all most of all the baseball insiders and analysts as one of the better starters available this offseason yeah of course we already admitted that we said that already if he would just shut the [ __ ] up his market probably would be three times what it is right now but i mean i hate to break it to you bro like a lot of teams just don't want to deal with that i look if if i if i'm a team or if i'm i don't know i know if i'm if i'm in a big market i'm sorry you could say whatever you want he's not that good where i like i'm d i'll deal with it i'm sorry well you'll deal with it because it's not it's not it's not korea where korea can do all of that whatever he wants i was talking when joe said it the other day joe was like you know how long has he or he said something about i'm like well the reason why i wouldn't want it for five years is because i don't think he's gonna last because pitchers his size usually don't and that's not a knock on him unless you're like a pedro martinez but pedro is even bigger than strowman was so i mean your tim lindsay comes these guys fall off you scott kasmir's they fall off the small you don't usually see pictures that are what five eight five nine whatever he is um they probably got him listed like five ten five eleven but he's not he's like five eight you know pitchers like that don't normally last yeah i know he's not a gay he's not a gasser he doesn't throw flames but you know if he lasts five years i'll actually be shocked and if he signs a five-year deal if he has five good years i'll be amazed i'll be amazed and here's the thing most most baseball people don't expect marcus strowman to have the the last two projections are never that great the last two years that he had nobody's projecting him to do that over the next five years and yet and yet he's still projected to get a deal worth at least five years so what does that what does that tell you mark is that that you have value in the market that you've earned what you're about to receive again if you would just stop like it's like it's like you're you're like self-destructive like you you want to do damage to your own reputation right now because you're not going to damage the mets reputation right they just signed they just signed starling martay to a contract where he makes almost 20 million a year he's darker than you he's older than you like what are you talking about so they're racist they could have went and got comfortable then conforto's light skin why didn't they get comfortable they could have said hey [ __ ] it we're going to italian why not yeah no they went and got the best they went and got the guy who they thought was best for the job that's what they do that's what most teams try to do marcus i don't think it's a freaking race thing actually i thought the mets really enjoyed him in his time there and for him to start going down this path it's just like if i'm a team looking at him it's like bro this is how quickly this guy can turn on us do we really want to do this no it's a risk it's a let me put it like this this is the best way to put it right it's a it's a not needed risk because he doesn't have to do it yes it's an unnecessary risk but my thing too with him is i'm sorry i see your numbers you have a you have a couple of good years i get it i understand that but to sit there and be like i as a owner would bring in marcus strowman you have to be elite for me to disregard everything else i'm not bringing you in i'm not bringing you in i'm sorry you could see it however you want i'm not bringing you in i'm not bringing you with this added [ __ ] it's not worth it you're not worth it that's what i'm saying you're putting you're putting you're adding you're adding baggage baggage for no reason you're adding baggage for no reason bro and that's what if i was his agent i would have definitely bought it as soon as free as soon as free agency started out by listen marcus what we're going to do is we're going to log you out of twitter we are going to we're going to keep you up on on instagram but we're going to we're going to manage that for you we're going to put up you know pictures of you working out you know going out having fun but you know in terms of like you like you know going out there commenting on things or whatever we don't think that's the best thing let me tell you why they can like agents literally have this information at their fingertips i don't but if you guys want to google it this this this is googleable you can go and prove where a player's comments during free agency hurts their market and things like this is a fact i'm not making this up i'm sure his agents could bring this information to him and say look marcus we just don't need but no they let him do whatever keep his stuff and he's out there on twitter you know getting in fights with yankee fans or whatever talking about everybody good in this whatever mind you your team was way worse than the the yankees were a dumpster fire this year and when you put us next to you guys we look like [ __ ] adonises like i don't know how you throw stones when you live in a house that's that made of glass but that's fine you wanted to do that okay but that was just to be tip of the iceberg with your twitter bs now you're going after the organization that you just finished fishing for alluding to them possibly being racist because they're they're looking at kevin gossman and robbie ray over you why can't they just like those pictures better i don't understand it's just um it's just bad man it's just bad overall i mean like you said i if i was his agent i tell him flat out bro can't do it can't do it but you know well see um you know there's obviously a lot more to talk about this season um i probably probably gave marcus stroman too much time but um but uh yeah i mean probably gave him a little too much time there but i mean it is what it is we gotta we still the yankees still got a lot of moves to do a lot of moves to make um and when it happens it happens we'll be there to cover it but um we hit another goal today we hit 6 300 subs um i know we had a goal of 7 000 by january actually had a goal of six thousand by january but we've been rising so much through the ranks that we actually had to push that back to be even higher so for all the fans out there that are continuing to support and subscribing telling their friends and family about us i keep talking about it uh january's almost here so you're gonna see ny news tv for what it is and um all the other fun stuff we have coming your guys way so i mean stay tuned for that and um subscribe now put those notifications on you'll be seeing a lot of us and everybody knew joining them so with that being said francis you could lead us out man you already know man make sure you tune in because the next here get a like up let's shoot for 200 let's hope we get there and go from there guys and and that would be uh very very interesting until we get everything going here so guys give me a couple of seconds let me go ahead and share this out and we will get started so give me a second to share and then let's jump right into the meat of our conversation today let me retweet this all right and then it is 202 so two minutes past our time and let's go first let me say welcome to everybody that is in here fritz welcome dale thank you for the kind words hirsch thank you for being in here anthony medina my good friend what is going on fam we got famine here arby's up in here we got rb in here johnny of course jay taylor thank you thank you jay taylor nick uh whatever this one is i forgot your name you said house your volume your volume is a little low hopefully i upped it a little bit but it's a vega magagi sugarlashi so uh welcome welcome in here ryan welcome brad welcome tyler welcome penny welcome dave welcome joe welcome jared perry let the list continue we got joshua solano we got every we got ron thompson we got fam in here we got rhodica we got anthony we got my do it again uh bring simeon to the bronx we got ryan we got tyler again i can do this all day we can just keep repeating then repeat it and repeat it and repeat it and go from there but guys first i want to start off with this because look i know everybody's pumped right i know everybody's excited everybody wants to talk about the mets coming out here flexing some muscle uncle cohen out here saying look we missed out on mats all right we're gonna spend some money just a little scoop for you guys real quick just a little scoop for you guys real quick don't be too mad when kevin gossman is about to be a a met today just a little scoop for you guys real quickly my understanding is they've been talking deal for a couple of days now and they could very well close that deal today so kevin gossman may be the next new york met but we ain't here this is not nym news this is ny news you know what i mean oh gods to the mets that's what we give the mets we give the metro gods we'll talk about some of the deal a little bit though so they they pass another skit all you guys know what i'm talking about they're passing out the skit all we know that so anyway let's jump into the new york yankees let's jump into what i talked about in the original in the original thumbnail of this video the disconnect between the new york yankees and their fan base because i wanna i to harp on this a little bit because there's a disconnect and some of it's the fans fault some of us the yankees but they did a great job with pr the yankees have done a tremendous job with pr they have done a great job with pr they've done an amazing job on the public relations side getting the fans to truly buy in to what they're doing all right and if anybody does any super chats or any questions i will get to them as soon as i can but let me finish let me finish this up here first and then we'll get into all the questions we got time to talk today i'm chilling look you know your boys healing up i had my first uh uh um physical therapy i'm all right life is beautiful life is beautiful we're all alive we're all doing a chat today can't be mad about too much right so let's get into it guys i've been talking about this for a while if you have followed me on this page you guys have heard me for a very long time talk about the obvious disconnect between the fan base and the front office now should the fan base dictate every move the yankees make no of course not but the fan base is pretty knowledgeable on what this team needs because who pays more attention to than fans do fans are right there fans are watching yes we don't get the inside information yes we don't see what happens in a clubhouse yes we don't see the type of things that you know maybe we need to have a little more insight on to make certain decisions but for years now during these chats um during my regular videos whether it was me doing a video france is doing a video or be doing a video felix doing his videos doesn't matter who it was we've really shared the same message that the yankees we know what they need to do but the yankees have not done it and we're kind of seeing that trend in that direction today i would say and you guys tell me if i'm wrong or not i would say roughly 70 percent of the fan base wanted aaron boone gone because they have felt he is not the proper manager for this club what do the yankees do to start the offseason boom bring aaron boone right back and they tell us to our face he's one of the best managers in the game they have told us to our face he's not a puppet they have told us to face analytics or not making all the decisions they have told us to her face well you know ask brian i told him you go out there brian you go out there and you get joey gallo even if we go over what do the yankees do brian cashman comes out and goes no you know we stayed under the luxury tax we gave up some more guys that he pay everything we stayed under so not only is there a disconnect between the team and the fan base there's a disconnect up top we also heard i'm just gonna throw quotes at it because this is so damn obvious now we have also heard brian cashman come out and go well um no aaron knew aaron boone knew before he signed here that phil nevin his best friend was gone aaron boone comes out 20 minutes later and goes well if i knew that i don't think i would be here right now what excuse me sir and what are we getting again this off season we are getting the same exact messaging once again we're being told guys we will spend all the money in the world we'll do we got there is no limits now by all means should the new york yankees come out and say we're not going to spend of course not because you don't know what could fall to you but there is a severe disconnect among this club and its fan base the fan base i've been saying for years we need some speed we need athletes we needed a lefty batter so which brian cashman did go do we need versatility we need guys who go first to third guys remember let's get those likes up i want to try to hit 200 likes while we're in here right now we're about we're about to hit over 60. got almost 200 people in here so let's get those likes up and share please share greatly appreciate it but that's where we are we got the fan base feeling that we know what this team needs to do but they have not done it the fans have had an idea of what this team needs to do for years now i'm not talking about this off season and we're going to get to this off season right after this but there is a major disconnect here how do you fix that i don't know they've told us analytics isn't playing the pure role of everything here but it's obvious it is it's about as clear as day it's about as clear as day and unfortunately you have a lot of the fan base who has bought into this idea you have a lot of the fan base who has bought into when the yankees will come out and say hey guys we tried it didn't work out they'll sit there and argue with you well they tried well the yankees tried they went out there to get somebody so with that being said let's talk about the fan base a little bit and where we are as a whole because i've seen this message a lot yesterday black friday wasn't too much of a black friday shopping in a sense of saving for the new york mets they go out there they make multiple moves escobar connor and of course starling martay who was the big drop of the night the cherry on top of the knife for the new york mets and i see many comments and many tweets by yankee fans saying all the yankees aren't gonna spend that much money oh but he's 33 years old oh but the yankees didn't they weren't really serious about him were they this this that that is the part of the fan base who will never dare to put enough pressure on this ball club where it needs to be and unfortunately that mindset and that idea is what the beat riders are also pushing the majority of them it's what the yes network tells you it's what all the wfans and all the stations out there talking about the yankees that have a platform we're not gonna do that here now by all means if we have a teammate who feels that way they're allowed to do what they want they're allowed to come on ny news and say it because that's their realness that's what they really believe in that's okay i'm here to tell you what pete's realness is ny news real talk for the real fan real talk for the real fan that's what you're always gonna get here so when i'm told and i'm looking at these comments dude is 33 years old you wouldn't give him four years because he's too old have you seen martay's body type have you seen marte's body type fam if you think 19 million a year for stalin marte is a bad signing you're out your freaking mind and if you also have the idea that that's out of the range for the yankees they go like another club i gotta keep it real with you for a second if 19 million is too much for the yankees to get an elite center fielder great speed great shape great defense great good arm great speed lead off hitter he checks every single box if you guys remember i talked about the video the other day that will never happen of course cedric mullins but i talked about it because it was news and it's exciting and it would make sense those are the type of guys that check every single box the yankees and yankee fans feel it was too old he was too old he was too old because apparently yankee fans have forgot that we are a win-now team yankee fans have forgot that we need to win a world series yesterday and when you lose that mindset you have now given in to new ownership you have now given in to the hal steinberg and new york yankees you have now given in to being mediocre you have now given in to the excuses you have now given in to second third fourth and fifth place that's what you have now given into so by all means by all means does this really affect the yankees in a major way that they can't have a good offseason no no so maybe there is a slight overreaction and that's okay guys here's another thing here's another thing folks and this is something that a lot of yankee fans love to tell people you're overreacting sure the yankee fans they're allowed to yankee fans are allowed to overreact we go to a ball game and it's like going to disney world we have every right to overreact not me personally because i i don't look am i upset about marta yes i think the yankees could have made that deal i think they could have went a different route but that's what i talked about uh plan one a two a three a c a four a a one one a one b one c there's a lot of different plans the yankees can do to have a terrific ball club for 2022. that is where my problem comes in because again yes is getting martay something where the yankee fans should just be overly angry about or overly mad about or be so upset that they feel like nothing could work is that is that potentially something that the yankees could look at and say this is is something that uh um nothing we do now is gonna work because the mets got martay so oh no we're in trouble no and that is not the way you should run your organization so i understand where some of these yankee fans go guys you're overreacting that's okay but to make the little minor excuses that you're seeing yankee fans make is horrible it is horrible it's pathetic it's terrible you cannot do that let me tell you why and let's get into what the yankees may or may not do we'll also start getting into your guys question so i'll start answering your guys questions and go from there because here's the problem okay do you guys remember and i was talking to my good friend rob before this do you guys remember when aaron boone had a press conference and he was explaining that um g and carlos stanton is a unicorn because and i'm not even making a joke out of this i know i make a joke about the unicorns but stay with me for a second he was making the point that giancarlo stan has it all the guy does everything he could do everything he's like a unicorn he's like that guy he's magical when he's hot he's magical he's he's something else to watch that's the yankees franchise guys this is what bothers me that's the yankees franchise their franchise is a unicorn in that sense not unicornios they're not gonna get hopefully not eating unicorn ears all year that is the new york yankees organization let me explain to you they got money no matter whether hal says it or not they got money they got prospect capital a ton of prospect capital they got everything as a general manager when you go to the new team like the yankees you get look we got money to spend we got prospects to deal we need to fix a few positions and then on top of that on top of that oh you have an unbelievable stock pile of free agents and players that are available via trade think about that for a second again repetitive pete here but you got one a one b one c one d one e one f one g blah blah blah blah blah blah let the wall keep going and have a different plan and it's gonna end up good better than how you started in 2021 that's the problem that is my issue you need to be aggressive here you know when you hide in the bushes so to say do you understand when you when you when you duck for cover because you're looking over the safari you're the lioness you're ready to prowl and hunt you're looking you're waiting you're ducking you're waiting for something to get closer to you if you're doing that for the big catch cool and i'll play devil's advocate here maybe that's what the yankees are doing maybe that's what the yankees are doing because let's let's be real let's look at the whole picture marcus simeon isn't signed seeger is not signed corey is not signed and story's not signed the mariners just got frasier teams are making moves right for the yankees very much you can sit low you could beat a lioness here right you could prowl you could say oh look at this look at this that buffalo's getting close whatever the hell they eat and then boom hope you're not wearing headphones i was probably loud you could sit there and wait you could sit there and wait but that's for the big fish that is for the big fish the yankees can't just sign a big fish to say that's it that's an off season can not work that way seeger makes the yankees a little better but he doesn't do much correa makes the yankees better but he doesn't do much story and simian make the yankees better but it doesn't do it all these cats are out here posting videos of aaron hicks looking like an old man instead of feel making a dive hey look at this guys oh we got a centerfielder baby you guys buying the [ __ ] oh no this cat's out here posting videos of aaron hicks fan aaron hicks doubles in the gap to left field he sucked the bat out and the ball barely went over to do attack should have been should have been caught in center field you saw the route he took on that ball he looked like [ __ ] my man looked like he gained 28 32 pounds and it's slower than he was before he came back hey you cat these cats are listening to these fools they're bragging about it look at our center fielder are we doing what are we doing and these same cats are saying martay's too old these cats are telling you aaron hicks is better than morty these cats are telling you you not me you these are the cats you guys are subscribing to oh let me run let me write these guys quick they're the best oh my god oh let me go buy their [ __ ] oh oh these are the cats you listening to this is why ny news is doing what it's doing because enough is enough of the [ __ ] these cats are pushing aaron hicks on you my man looked like he gained 30 pounds in center field slower [ __ ] to the ball made a bad slide and made the catch and he gets a pound in his chest like look at me what are you doing aaron hicks but wait wait wait these same people fans or whoever these same people will tell you aaron hicks is better than mate and they wouldn't have signed martay because he's 32 years old yankees gave your boy seven years the yankees gave you a boy seven years and he get an aaron look no no disrespect hicks has gotten worse year after year he's gotten heavier year after year he's gotten worse defensively year after year i'm gonna get to the super chats guys i just gotta make this point because it cracks me up year after year that dude got bigger he's gotten slower all right year after year but these same cats to tell you stalin martay who is ripped from head to toe is too old my man still burning on the bases all right fam let me get to these questions let me get to these questions i can't i can't i can't it's your boy i greatly appreciate the super chat fam remember when you warned yankee fans that it wouldn't be a surprise to you if they they're cheap and didn't go out and help go out to help become better this offseason i do it's your boy i was i i said that before everybody else before was cool for the beat riders and everybody else to talk about the yankees not spending 300 plus million i was the only guy saying it because again i was told by four people including a fifth recently but i also said maybe they get a 265 maybe i didn't know that but they're not gonna do what everybody expected and not gonna drop this monster contract on anybody and i the people i was told this that told me this i truly believe i believe them deeply if they told me something right now i tell you that's how i feel about him ella yankeeking says well well well it looks like justin was right since 2018 cashman is bottom five gm but no justin is crazy no well i think you're justin i don't think you're right about that i still don't think you're right about that i don't think brian cashman is a top bottom gm i don't think brian cash is a bottom gm he's done a lot of good moves at the end of the day if it comes to spending that's not brian cashmere that's hal steinberg my problem with brian cashman is he holds on to guys way too long doesn't mean he's a terrible gm it just means he has belief in his system and that's okay but when you're the new york yankee you can't necessarily build your club that way you have to have you have to have you have to have a mindset of certain guys we want to hold on to but we cannot risk keeping them in the name of getting a robbie ray a cl um uh garrett cole you can't hold on to him in those type of positions it's the same thing right now when we talk about matt olsen you got yankee oh no i wouldn't do all that well you got to give up something and you can't be in love with prospects enough to miss out on that so i wouldn't say he's a bottom 5 gm i wouldn't say he's a bottom 5 gm i wouldn't say that at all brand especially speaking way too much facts right now brandon this just obvious [ __ ] you know what i'm saying this is just obvious stuff it's just that we are living in a time where fans are eating it up and that's the crazy thing guys if you don't mind please please please please hit the like button i greatly appreciate that we are about halfway to 200 of where i wanted to be so if you guys don't mind please go ahead and do that i would greatly greatly appreciate it and we will continue on let me just see i got a message here all right perfect um yeah but i've seen so many messages guys and i'm not looking to i'm not looking to i'm not looking to [ __ ] on any yankee fans i'm not looking to to do anything like that my whole thing for when it comes to everything that we're talking about here is this is you can't say not to saying that martay was too old to sign to a four-year deal i i don't under i don't get that i don't get that i really i really do not understand that at all to sit there and talk about marte's age and this a win now club what does that mean this team needs a win now this team can't sit back and go all right maybe in 2024 we're gonna win they can't do that they can't do that anthony with the super chat my good friend thank you i think i'm more frustrated that the yankees have been relatively quiet not so much at the met sign martay who would have been a great addition to the yankees hope something happens with them soon well that's what i'm trying to say anthony is that look i'm not i don't think any yankee fan should be you know saying oh the off season's over because we didn't get marty that's not it the problem overall is how quiet the yankees have been as of right now we stand to have aaron hicks batted back in center field and gary sanchez back as the catcher after what gary sanchez has done guys bear with me again for a second after everything gary sanchez has done you still have a fan base who will tell you they can't miss out on his production who is better than him defense fam defense is production how in the hell can you keep this guy as the catcher at his ball club i i i don't understand the mindset of many people in this fan base i don't get it i don't understand it people act like defense has no importance over being a catcher defense is production this guy caught a ball 25 friggin feet from home plate and never tagged the base runner this guy could barely block a ball in the dirt pitchers are probably scared to throw a ball in the dirt this guy towards the end of the year had three starting pitchers the top three arguably in the rotation not want to throw to him this guy got a pop-up call to him went backwards turned the wrong way went back forward and never even touched the ball this guy has not started the playoff game in two years was gary sanchez a rookie last year am i missing something have we not had more than enough time to see who this player is have we not have more than enough time to see who this player is i am completely utterly shocked by what a lot of this fan base is preaching to fans a lot of the people with a platform is preaching to fans you're not gonna see it on this platform i tell you right now we're just gonna keep it real with you you're not gonna see it here real talk for the real fan that's it i don't get it i don't get it me and francis said it for a minute we said look you're gonna know quickly what the yankees are really up to by the little tiny moves they make they ain't done jack [ __ ] the yankees could have went out there and said all right we're going to trade for a catch we're going to sign a free agent we're going to do one of these things just to give the fan base an idea of our this is the direction we headed as of right now fans have every right to be upset because guess what we're standing pat right now can a lot change of course we got the non-tender right here i wouldn't be shocked if something happens if they make a trade or two because again remember when you have the non-tender here if another team non-tender somebody that you want you got to have room for them so i could see the yankees make a move to clear up a little more space i could see that happening but the yankees really going to sit back and give gary sanchez more money for what and it's obvious the last few years we don't have coaches that have enough balls to say all right hold on this [ __ ] needs to work we don't have that it's obvious we don't have that so that's my thing we obviously have not had that we don't have that bring simeon to the bronx thank you for the super chat sign eddie rosario put him in center field no way in hell a contended team can depend on hicks to be your starting center fielder 100 love the content well i thank you for that my friend and look man that's the thing you hit it right in the that's why i love i love my people that come in these chats i love and look guys the yankee fans that think like us that want to win now we're the majority we're still the majority we're still the majority ny news is going to be so damn big it's going to make your guys head spin soon enough okay where the majority but you hit it right in the head right on the head the yankees are one of the only teams that will tell you flat out after teams that want to win that will tell you flat out after injuries all right well look we're getting severino back so don't worry about anything all right guys don't worry we think we think gary sanchez is going to improve he's worked so hard this offseason aaron hicks did well in in winter ball we know he's ready to give us that bats he's going to have a terrific season they're the only win-now team who will tell you that their excuses that you know is [ __ ] is what's going to make them better because guys again i will never change my opinion of this if the yankees go out there they eventually get a guy like sager seeger but they still have hicks and center and gary behind the plate what the hell is the point what the hell's the point what the hell is the point brandon then joey vlogs thank you so much for the super chat i appreciate it jonathan jonathan alvarez i'm not calling i got i got to put you on the spot he says yes we had a majority but jonathan you are a fan who goes all the way back with me all the way back to when i broke the news about gary sanchez nobody else broke that news i broke the news about gary sanchez about the team being upset with how he came into training out of shape he didn't hit the weight they wanted i broke that news but i'm asking jonathan because i'll tell you why jonathan was a huge gary sanchez fan i bet jonathan doesn't want him behind a plate in 2022. jonathan has had enough and jonathan you can throw it in the chat and darius darius glover my good friend he said the non-tender deadline is tuesday to 30th that is right tuesday to 30th so it wouldn't shock me to see the yankees make a move or two before that but jonathan knows jonathan was a big fan he was a big fan of gary he he he remembers all my videos he remembers all of them many people in here that go back with me you know three or four years remember all that stuff that's right it's so dumb that they treat guys coming back from injury as they were trade acquisitions that is so friggin true and that's what the yankees do the yankees have done that for a minute now brandon and joey vlogs i greatly appreciate that my friend yankees need to fix the issues and get a first baseman and a shortstop who can provide uh provide defensive defensively and offensively it's not how if not how should sell the team yankees need to fix the issues to get a first baseman in the shore someone can provide yes 100 true 100 true and that's the thing man the yankee fans know what's up yankee fans know what's up yankee fans know what's up they know what needs to happen we all know what needs to happen we know what needs to happen it's that simple we understand that the problem is going out and doing it so when yankee fans sit back again and they're saying oh we didn't sign marte oh boohoo to the fans who upset guys it's not about the fans being upset it's that we have a lot of [ __ ] to do we have a lot of [ __ ] to do if signing seeger is all we had to do then all right this would be me right now yeah guys you know um something's gonna happen give it a little time don't be panicking it's all right you know it's only it's only uh it's not only about to be december don't worry about it guys it's all right things will happen that would be me right now but that ain't what this team needs and everybody knows that this team needs a catcher they need a center field or at least a backup they need a first baseman they need a shortstop they need pitching those are five main spots and you know the scary thing where is it at guys up the middle catcher shortstop center field winning teams are strong up the middle winning teams are strong up the middle winning teams are strong up the middle winning teams are strong up the middle okay can't have gary sanchez your catcher you can't have aaron hicks i'll be nice you can't have aaron hicks as the full-time center fielder and you got to have a short stop who at least can feel the ball very well you got to have all that if the yankees don't do that there's too much that's too much so you can't sit there and oh they're waiting in the bushes for deals no no no can't happen like that can't happen that way it can't happen that way it can't happen like that and you guys know that give me one second guys i just got a message i wanted to take a look at one second guys all right cool cool cool uh tyler i appreciate that the yankees are serious about winning the yankees are serious about winning if sanchez's catcher hits it i'm assuming you mean not serious about winning uh catcher hicks in center field and torrez's team period yeah i mean 100 no no i think i know what tyler man tyler meant not serious um he just missed that word there i'm pretty sure uh knowing tyler i'm pretty sure because he has the same mindset as where i've been but that's where it is that's where it is right now um i'm trying i'm trying to corroborate a rumor here that i just got from somebody else um hold on one second guys so i i just got a i'll wait to corroborate it a little more but my understanding is somebody just said that the yankees actually and not somebody but i obviously don't want to say who the person is but um i just got a message saying that the yankees have actually talked to the braves about dansby swanson so i don't know how much legs that has i don't know how realistic that actually is but um give me a second and we will i want to corroborate that with a few other people first before um we go anywhere else with that but my understanding is that the yankees have have had a conversation i don't know how much it is but i've had a conversation about dansby swanson let's go to the super chat ro thompson the family right here the problem is the yankees have a plethora of issues and it appears as if they aren't operated with any sense of urgency that's it raw raw you hit it right on the head that that's it that's the thing right there you could be the lioness you could wait for the prey to get close you could wait for the slick move but not when you got five or six moves you got to make not when you got that many not when you got that many jonathan alvarez family from way back in the day i wish sanchez nothing but success but it can't be on this club yankees need to prioritize a defensive first catcher i'm over it jonathan i'll pat myself on the back i'll pat felix on the back and tell you guys that we've said it for years now because we have that that's not even taking credit for get credit i don't care about credit it was obvious it was obvious to me back in the day when i heard what i heard i was like oh [ __ ] they got a problem here and if you don't believe me you could go back to i think it was mlb.com scouting report on gary sanchez before he got there right before he got there my understanding of it was that even in a scouting report i read it recently this is before he came up and did what he did in the in the scouting report excuse me and the scouting reporter even says they don't know if he could consistently stay at catcher because of his work ethic or wanting to be a catcher the actual heart of wanted to be a catcher playing that position there was rumors that even then he wouldn't do it so we'll see yeah guys i'll be honest with you like i said before i'm i'm not gonna tweet that out as of right now just because i haven't cooperated with anybody else but the person who told me is is usually very very spot on so again that could just be a hey we want to check in to see what's available what options we have is it a possibility it could be one of those but that's again something that gm's do doesn't mean there's loads of interest it doesn't mean it's something that could happen but that that's exactly what a gm would do that's the type of moves gm's look to do you know you you figure out what's out there and what's a possibility so i'm sorry i'm just messaging back real quick um but again that's where it is and guys we have almost 300 people in here can we please get those likes up i would love to hit 200 today um i would love to hit 200 today while we're in here we probably got about 20 or so minutes to go and we will go from there sanchez bat aged 12 years in three years yeah there was there was definitely a little bit concerned there uh my concern is that cash probably not even on the hot seat considering they let him yeah i mean you know it's almost like family my understanding is and again i get some information on that i probably have a lot more information come next week um after i get back um after i get back from some travel which you guys will know a lot about what i'm doing uh probably on thursday night thursday night is it thursday yeah thursday night thursday night next week um you guys will probably know a lot of what's uh of what's going on and what i'm doing and and some pretty fun stuff that's going on next week um but i should get a lot of good information um out of all that stuff but yeah i mean i mean those are the those are those are the concerns right now who do i prefer in centerfield reynolds and mullins either one of them if that was the case either one of them could tell martay i would take him in a heartbeat but look let me even send something back to you guys if the yankees came today and they said all right look um maybe we add robbie ray maybe we had trevor story with that being said here's what we have to do though and we also add a decent a decent catcher center field we are gonna have floriel fight for that spot in spring training so there could be a a a platoon situation where we make that work and i'm i'm very much okay with that i'm very much okay with that and that's the thing that i've been telling people i'm not the yankee fan that's saying we need to get correa we need to get rey we need to get all the top guys if we don't do that i'm not angry we just have so many damn moves that we can make in an off season where there is loads of talent available free agency and via trade and you got the prospect capital to do it and you got the money to make signings when you can do all that you got to be able to go out there and do it it's as simple as that it's as simple as that so yeah yankee fans have every right in the world to be upset yeah i don't think mullins could happen and i'm just keeping it real i don't think mullins could happen i i don't i don't think mullins necessarily happens i don't think it would one because of what of what it would take on the yankees side and i don't see i don't see brian cashman ever giving up what it would take to get mullins to the rival orioles and by all means their rival because the only team they beat up on is the yankees so i don't think brian cashion wants to make that much better in the years to come when he got a lot of good guys coming up so you know what i mean we'll see what happens there darius says anything big likely comes today or tomorrow or today or tomorrow teams have until wednesday however uh teams have to get physicals and paperwork all done by wednesday at midnight which takes time that is correct so you're right you're definitely right you probably got today and tomorrow to really get things done and then you got all the work to do after that so you're probably looking at the weekend to be somewhat popular maybe monday a little bit to go from there mullins is a one-year wonder i think that's a hard one to say i think there might be a little bit of an adjustment period but i wouldn't necessarily say mullen's gonna be a one-year wonder yankee fans love to say that about players i noticed that robbie ray's a one-year wonder mullen's a one-year wonder reynolds isn't that good martay is too old blah blah blah blah blah but our guys are great come on fam come on stop it stop it stop it jonathan alvarez my good friend thank you so much again for the super chat fam cashman and hal are asleep while the other team's feasting on free agents and yankees will get up just in time to pick up the crumbs left over it's concerning man like i said if you if you're looking for the one big move you could be the lioness waiting for the hunt if you are looking for the one big move you could certainly be the lioness waiting for the hunt you can do that you could be the lioness waiting for the hunt if you're waiting for that one move you got every chance in the world and every opportunity in the world do that if you got multiple moves to make you really got to get a ball you really got to get a go on it you got to get a go on it because guys i could i could go over this in multiple different ways and i'll do it right after i read this super chat from li yankee king hey if i ran this team i would have already traded dj hicks stanton chapman holmes lucky peralta rodriguez tayon sanchez voigt brought in prospects to help us and i would have offered one year 30 million a story but li yankee king that makes no sense and i got to keep it real with you that makes no sense at all you're trading all of your good players away a lot of your salary i get that but you're trading a lot of your plays that help you win now for one guy that's not gonna help you win now because of all the moves you made lord why did you burden me with this oh my god i had i couldn't pick i couldn't be older and talk about the yankees on youtube when the dynasty is i had to choose now i had to choose the yankees now fam you're training everybody you're training everybody to give 30 million a story i love trevor's story but you got to put him on he can't beat a guy what do you want what are you doing mushrooms oh my god why why do i do this why do i do this for the love i do it for the love i do it for the love of my yankees i do it for the love of my yankees i do it for the love you have our affirmation that's my affirmation fam you trading everybody and most of those guys you have to pay all that contract gonna have to pay most of those guys contract to move them and on top of that then you're going out to give 30 million dollars to one player what do you do jonathan vr would be a terrific pickup jonathan vr will be a terrific pickup my man on mushrooms my man is on mushrooms my man is on mushrooms my man is straight up on mushrooms he's hallucinating right now ed kemp manaya roberto perez modesty rizzo olson those are a lot of moves and and and you know that was the expectation going into this that was the expectation going into this well ella yankeeking has cracked my code i can't have him do a super chat and not answer it i can't so ella yankee king has cracked my code i can't be an [ __ ] like that i can't be an [ __ ] like that there he goes again ella yankee i also would have traded for heim yamamoto means signed rey signed judge and rizzo all that stuff's not that easy man all that stuff's not that easy so anyway i read it i read it lie i read it i read it i read it you got me you cracked my code thank you for supporting that wide news i greatly appreciate it jorge no no word on jose ramirez none none whatsoever no news at all jose ramirez i actually shocked i thought that would be i actually thought there would be a lot more rumors about jose ramirez but um no nothing at all yet so nothing at all yet on that one um let me see something here guys one second i just want to make sure i get updated where everything that i have right now um no that is nothing good okay all right all right all right all right cool cool cool cool um olsen bassett kelly marte is where i think the yankees are trying to shop those would all be terrific those would all be terrific those would all be terrific i don't even think hell knows how to run a business bro how do you throw how do you throw down like your dad 10 million to 5 billion he made a lot of mistakes how pony up you know it's hard look i understand one of the i understand you're in a big look i understand house thing you know you're in a big big shadow everybody expects you to be your father maybe you see things differently and that's okay so it's not about spending money it's about the way the yankees have spent the money so the payroll is still large but look at the way the yankees have spent the money that's the problem that's the problem that's the major issue it's not that the yankees are cheap or anything like that it's that they have spent the money the wrong way that's the problem the problem is how they've spent the money why do yankees not in on either floriel or suzuki suzuki i honestly i don't know much about floriel on the other hand i mean i would be happy with florio starting it's like i've told people before floriel bats low okay you bat him low in the order he has great speed he's gonna steal 20 plus bases i believe he's gonna hit 20 plus home runs because he got power like that to all fields plays a great defense has a great arm why would you not let a guy like this play at the major league level right now why would you not give him that opportunity over aaron hicks who is now playing winter ball you could show teams that look he's healthy he's playing maybe you could trade them maybe you could add a decent prospect maybe you could add a decent prospect and move on from tyler says sign vr who i would love sign seeger sign rey trade for olson midday madaya sign suzuki for center field trade sanchez get stallings in a trade you know that's a lot of moves there and a lot of different things that could happen but we'll see but but we'll see you know those are moves that could happen those are somewhat realistic a lot of those i don't know if they spend the money on both of those guys on sega and ray but they could but these are things that could happen so it's not like none of these things are unrealistic you know you talk about some of these trades and everybody feels like it's unrealistic it's not it's not necessarily unrealistic that's the thing that's the thing i don't see sure coming to new york unless the yankees blow them away and again guys i don't see that jonathan alvarez my fan my my my fam thank you so much i appreciate that man pete no matter what god is good and is always faithful facts that is 100 correct my friend that is 100 correct and i greatly appreciate that i greatly appreciate that um so let's see let's see let's see let's see let me just update this here i just got to keep checking my messages i am getting messages um right that's just my team nothing there nothing there all right cool um but we'll see man we'll see um yeah whoever just said uh gaussman to the mets per sources i don't know if it's done yet but i was told i think i said it once this uh once this started that gosmen to the mets is very likely i was told yesterday too they've been discussing a deal for a couple of days and a lot of people expected to get done so the mets may make another big deal today no this yankee team is not a world series team right now nowhere near it every other team is getting much better hey pete what would it take for the yankees to trade for joey bart involving gary sanchez well probably a ton because uh bart is likely gonna be the starting catcher um you know he's likely gonna get a chance to start um he's he's one of the top catching prospects in baseball i don't see any scenario where the giants give him up i don't see any especially not for gary sanchez the giants are looking to win a world series the yankee the giants are looking to win a world series so yeah adam king is likely just taking what i what i'm saying and and posting it because he's uh he's a little bit nuts he's a little bit nuts think a move happens before a lockout i actually do i do think a move happens before the lockout i do think a move happens before the lockout what move it is i don't know to be honest and to be honest rumors have been light rumors have been light usually by this time i get a lot of good information i haven't had much i got more information from other clubs than i've got mainly for the yankees so rumors have been light rumors have been light cohen's about to have another hold my beer yeah cohen's the type of dude that makes that makes deals like cracking uh walnuts and he just sits there down in peanuts and [ __ ] and he just i get him on the phone yeah go ahead off from it ah throw it up by 10. i just saw that it's actually the first thing that popped up my screen to yes network you know what your phone needs right now a little brick gardener that's what oh my god to me i tell you guys i tell you guys uh wow wow wow wow wow wow oh my goodness guys well with that being said fam marlins look marlins make i know a wonderful trading partner with the yankees the marlins make a wonderful trading partner with the yankees gary sanchez luke voight miguel anduhar and i know a lot of teams aren't sure about the dh international league but that's apparently one of the things they actually all agree on so my understanding is in 2022 there will be a dh in the national league that's not one of the things holding anything up that's not holding nothing up so the marlins and the yankees make a lot of sense look a lot of these dh types the yankees have could make a lot of sense to a lot of clubs he's just going out there and doing it so guys with that being said i am going to get about my day we bought the the live christmas tree i'm not though is it a live christmas is that what you call it the real real christmas tree you know we do everything real here everything here is real even the christmas tree is real got the got the real christmas tree yesterday so we're going to put that baby up today um everybody going to do that we're going to have a good time uh designated spitters will still be sunday 5 p.m we will do a pre-recording we can't do the live um a lot of things didn't uh didn't work up work out for that so um we will do the pre-recorded sunday 5 p.m designated spitters don't miss it and guys again you guys know december is already next week december is already next week so the major announcements are coming you guys will see the major announcements of what ny news tv will consist of again you don't want to miss it you don't want to miss any of it at all you're going to want to be there and lie yankee king gets in right before i end it and i got to answer this pete the reason i'm trading all the players i'm trading is because the window is shut and roster is aging and i also contend it and i also contend this year i attached prospects to hick stanton and dj stanton got a no tray claws you know dj's gonna be hard to move and i wouldn't move dj dj is a guy i think that's a win now type player for the yankees and yeah you just need one now guys man you can't just go out there and say we're gonna reset and the window's not necessarily closing this team got a two to three year time frame to still win they just gotta win now they can't consider winning in 2024 they can't consider winning the 2025. they got to go out there make the moves to win right now they got to go out there and make the moves the win right now simple as that so guys again like i said ny news tv announcements probably going to be the week of december 13th that way on that day you guys will find out who all the new podcasts are who's everybody new joining um the the other things we'll be doing on the channel membership is going to be coming um whether that is going to be january or february we will have members only chats members only uh uh trivia nights crazy things like that we're just doing so much it's been a ton of work everything's gonna be different you're gonna have new intros new outros new logos new merchandise it's just huge so guys stay tuned to it continue to see what we're doing continue to subscribe continue to share with your friends if you've got any friends out there that are big yankee fans let them know this is the spot to be and with that being said i hope you guys enjoy the rest of your day i'll talk to you guys up tomorrow tomorrow sunday 5 pm designated spitters see you guys soon thank you tell me you

🔥 🚨 Is Mullins a Real Possibility for the Yankees? @SimonettiSource

Transcript

hey everybody what is going on pete samnetta here for nyy news there's a little rumor out there today saying that the baltimore orioles may look into seeing what offers would be for one cedric mullins now people are immediately probably gonna say uh impossible can't happen and i'm probably gonna agree with you it's probably impossible probably can't have it but it's fun to talk about so i'm gonna come here and talk about this because why the hell not folks you would probably be hard pressed to find a better fit for these new york yankees than cedric mullins he checks all the boxes center field yankees have a need lefty bat the yankees have a need speed the yankees have a need versatil i'm not versatilium sorry athletic ability the yankees have a need leadoff hitter the yankees have a significant need he checks all the box and arguably it's hard to sit there and say okay well anybody even has been rumored as available who would make more sense than a cedric mullins makes a ton of sense in the world if you even think about it we'll get into what it may take after but look at cedric melons real quick cedric mullins is 27 years old last year he had a 5.7 war 30 home runs 291 average 175 hits 91 runs scored 59 rbis 30 stolen bases on base percentage 360 slugging percentage 518 ops 878. this is one of the elite outfielders in major league baseball with everything he does and no i'm pretty sure his second half wasn't as great as his first but still just an absolutely terrific season for cedric mullins he was an all-star we know that um ended up actually being ninth in mvp voting he did also win a silver slugger award so if you're the baltimore orioles right now and you're looking at this type of thing for a guy like a cedric mullins right you're saying hey you know it's almost like brian reynolds in a sense is that you're sitting back saying he's available you know what i mean and you mean with orioles you know we don't expect that that we're very very close to competing you know he could be available but at the end of the day you're gonna have to really knock our socks off here to make a deal work that's the only way you move central malls and i tell you what for the orioles it's smart if you're the baltimore orioles this is smart this is a smart way for you to do business because if a team does come knock and go hey look this guy fits our mold perfect here's what we're offering and they throw at you you know maybe two top fives two top tens uh four guys overall maybe a fifth in the lower level and you're like you know what where the orioles we know we got some decent young pitchers coming up we got maybe arguably the best catching prospect in the game we see what um what's what some of the guys on the club uh did this year your mount castles your your haze your mullens we've seen what these guys have have done and what they could potentially become if a team goes out there goes look we got some some you know starting pigeon prospects that are closing in that are getting close to being there maybe we can work a deal around that cedric mullins by the way is you know it's not like he has some big salary or anything coming along with them so you would have just about every single team interested in this guy so this is a very very smart time for the baltimore orioles to consider moving him and even flirting with the idea of moving whisk again teams are going to throw a lot out so when it comes to the yankees cedric mullins would be a free agent that's 31 when he when he's 31 years old that is in 2026 so you'll have for 22 23 24 25 26 so you're having for four full seasons moving forward and again for any team any team at all that is huge that is absolutely huge for every team that is something that you want so when you look at the yankees you know let's get to it i'm first of all i'm gonna say this right now one there's two there's two things here one i don't think the orioles would be extremely inclined to say hey yanks here you go they might be but still if they look to compete in two to three years they'd still be competing against somebody they traded and made the other club better so i think that's the hesitancy there and two brian cashman ain't ever gonna give up what it would take to land cedric mullins cedric mullins is again what you would assume the pirates would ask for for brian reynolds so guys you know when you when you think about the new york yankees you got to think about their top prospects the baltimore orioles have every right in the world to ask for the top of the line guys from the new york yankees they don't have to ask for anything less at all they could ask for anthony volpe jason dominguez oswald peraza luis hill clark smith austin wells trey ceni uh uh uh luis medina davey garcia alexander vargas uh everson pierre who they just added hayden with nasa westnesski um oswaldo cabrera josh bro i mean it don't matter you can ask for whatever the hell you want if you're the baltimore orioles because again if the yankees did want him they got to knock your socks off and first of all at the end of the day i don't see him doing it when we talked about on a couple of lives and on designated spitters when we brought up the idea of a brian reynolds trade we immediately said well you know i would give jason dominguez up in a deal like that because brian reynolds right now is kind of what you hope jason dominguez could turn into um he obviously has this huge potential on his back it's a lot on a young kid only in a ball very very raw to professional major league baseball so he has time to develop and you never know how the development could go but again you got luis heal who i think could be attractive uh luis medina who could be attractive guys who are you know legitimate starting pitching prospects uh austin wells probably not so much considering they got roche ruchman rouchman whatever his name is but you guys know who's if you're any interest at all in baseball the orioles got one of the best catching prospects in the game volpe of course to be interested in but we don't see him going anywhere at all but any of those guys so dominguez peraza heal schmidt uh sweeney potentially medina uh ken waldechuk uh uh yo andre gomez garcia i mean it's gonna take four of those guys if you're the orioles it's gonna take four of those guys dominguez potentially heal medina and let's say gomez or smith i mean if it's me i'mma win that kind of guy i'm going for that i'm a win now kind of guy i'm a win now kind of guy that's the route i take that is the route i would personally take so i don't know about you guys but again just as a disclaimer so everybody doesn't get the pennies up in a bunch and go pee come on you know it can happen this trade probably got a better chance of happening than me developing wings and flying through my damn wall right here alright so probably not gonna happen i know the yankees and the oreos made deals before but a lot of you know britain and all that was was gonna be a free agent you know you kind of had to move him mullins the auras could be like hey you know offenses is pretty nice you know what i mean our offense is kind of nice out there we could keep them up there again maybe some pitching comes along maybe some decent happens that we're we're a decent team in two to three is it's very possible you know that's very possible so they don't have to deal nobody same thing with the pirates they got some of the best young prospects in all baseball getting very very close to the major leagues you got to knock their socks off to make a deal and i don't blame them if i'm both them i'm sitting back saying yeah we'll try to trade them no doubt give us you know four of your top seven four of your top eight then we'll have a deal right why not cause because if we can get for the one guy maybe three starting pitching prospects that are close to being ready maybe one of those guys is more of a serviceable guy the other two could be legit potential you know one two threes sign me up they're not then we'll talk but until then i'm gonna say he's not available it's the smart move it's a smart move by the baltimore orioles team that hasn't made tons of smart moves in the past it's nice to see him doing something pretty smart but cedric mullins would be the perfect yankee pickup he would be the perfect yankee picker for their offense that's when you're looking that's why martay day by day day by day by day by day starlin marte becomes more attractive because he really fits the yankees well and you know got a lot of fans well he's older well the yankees aren't a team that's looking to win in 2026 they're looking to win in 2022 and that's the mindset you got to have as a yankees gm is that you are looking to win now not four years from now because if that is your mindset and you're playing it wrong and you're not playing to your advantages which is money prospect capital money and prospect capital those are those are the new york yankees two huge huge advantages over the club over other clubs they can sign whoever the hell they want typically not on their house a little different and they got prospect capital where they go make trades when they need to and they got these guys that are closing into the major leagues also to help them so they got the best of both worlds right now they just got to use utilize it that way the new york yankees should be the marvel character the juggernaut that's what they that's what they need to be they need to be the juggernaut they need to just be able to run through walls non-stop break through everything go look we're gonna we're gonna juggling out through everything that's how we that's how we run our business here has it been like that mullins to the yankees is likely not happening whatsoever but boy oh boy cedric mullins would be an amazing pickup for the new york yanks and really would fit them just about better than anybody that's available out there so you guys let me know in the comment section below what do you think about this move do you think there's any possibility at all and if there is would you be willing to give up a dominguez would you be willing to give up you know two or three of your top seven maybe four of your top seven eight nine would you be willing to do that for a guy cedric mullen sending those guys over to who could potentially in the future be a rival baltimore oriole team even though the yankees struggle against bad baltimore real team so i really doesn't matter but guys if you have not subscribed please go ahead and do so for your notifications on so you never miss a ny news video again i am pizza manetti talk to you guys again very very soon thank you me

what is going on everybody pete simonetti here for ny news and as you can see it is off it is off so the rehab physical therapy process starts now six plus weeks six weeks or so um yeah a little a little beat up sore hurts um but hey i always like a good challenge so i expect a much better and stronger me over the next six plus weeks positive positive positive positive but anyway guys i want to talk about a conversation i had with an advanced scout who gives me a lot of good information on a lot of yankee prospects he does not work in a yankee organization got connected to him from a lot of other people but but this is his job his job is to know a lot of these guys that could face teams in the future that could come up and do some damage and no he is the the eyes the ears so to say and the guider uh of an organization that's what that role basically is to inform and let teams know whether it's they're playing against them whether it's trade value whether it's a guy that may fit your team down the line this is their job to know these things so i asked a simple question i said going back to 1996 when the new york yankees gave young prospect derek jeter the chance to be a shortstop now times are a little different derek jeter also wasn't in a time where free agency was you know 96 wasn't uh you didn't have four guys out there who you know will command a hundred plus million dollar contract somebody maybe 300 plus guarantee 200 plus on a few of them and be legitimate stars that can immediately jump into a team's shortstop role and become a leader or the star player team middle of the order bet not facing that so what i asked him was is there any chance that young yankee prospect oswal cabra oswal cabrera my goodness oswald perazza oswaldo cabrera just added to the yankee 40 man look out for him he plays shortstop third base second base anyway oswald barraza none of this is scripted always real at ny news guys oswald peraza you guys know i love oswald peraza i am extremely high in this guy and is nice to know that many others are also and not just in the yankees organization one of the reasons why brian cashman really feels like i don't know if i should you know it depends on what i'm what i'm giving up for this guy we don't know if he's involved in the matt olsen talk i would assume he is because from everything i've heard and you guys go back to my to our um to our uh chat we have eli who you guys know does a tremendous job on everything yankees minor league did a great job on the 40 minute ross to break it up news before everybody else and even just conversation that i've had if you're a fan of the channel you'll watch the designated spitters you see the knights at the round table personal videos i make lives i've talked very highly about oswald peraza because what i hear about him is phenomenal it's phenomenal so for the guys who don't know and i'll be shocked if there's yankee fans out there who don't know much about azwa peraza across the board in every ranking system he's either gonna rank two or three he'll either be ahead or behind jason dominguez and of course number one is anthony volpe but oswald perazza is 21 years old six foot about 170 175 last year last year look at these numbers guys 297 average 38 stolen bases 58 rbis 18 home runs ops of 834 on base percentage of 3 56 76 runs scored just an absolutely tremendous year for oswald peraza 26 doubles three uh three triple two triples overall caught stealing 10 times but stole 38 bases again um slugging percentage 477 across the board and as you guys know he went from able to double a where he was terrific to triple a he ended the year in triple a one of the things you guys again have heard me say a lot was really corroborated by the scout that i sent these questions to my question simply was this would the yankees not will they not do you think could the yankees give oswald peraza the derek sanderson jeter treatments would he put him out there and just surround him by some really good guys his response to me was oswald peraza could start a shortstop for any club in major league baseball right now he wouldn't need no more conditioning none of that again he could start right now with any club now he did say this if that were the case he would ensure that the second baseman is dj lemayo and not glaber torres the reason being you want to put veteran more veteran guys around that can really handle that position around him if you could kind of block him in with a giovanni or shella who handles this position very well and also did a good job of short stop peralta short and then at second base dj lemay got a lot of great voices around a kid who most people will tell you if they don't feel his bat is totally there yet the glove is he's smooth he's slick these are the words that i've said before and the words that he also stated to me oswald is a very good defensive shortstop and the one thing he mentioned is what a lot of the other shortstops that are available what all the money is available that they're not gonna necessarily give you is legitimate speed legitimate guide i could do 20 plus stolen bases easy now we know trevor story out of all the guys available is fast he's very athletic he compared him more to a story than anybody else available he said the one thing he thinks that he will become better than story if he ever became better than story is that he will make more contact than trevor story he's not a guy that needs to swing for homers to drive the ball out that's a gift he has he can drive the ball the right center field that a lot of people see as doubles he takes them over the fence so i asked that question for a simple reason with all the information i've been given i do not see the yankees dropping a major contract unfortunately guys this is no longer the new york yankees that we once truly loved and we still love of course but it's ran a little differently a lot differently if you really want to go into but i'm just specifically speaking when all these guys are available back in the day the yankees would have got them they might have got two of them they might have got two of them in all reality because they got a they could they could literally do second third or short and fill two positions if they really wanted to they could have done that with the mindset right now that we could potentially see correa go elsewhere and sager go elsewhere seeger leaving simeon and story as the potentially other big names that the yankees can go out there and get right i think story's a terrific fit if you go out there and add more pitching wise trades get a good catcher and all that but if the yankees were to say you know what we do have money we could spend on the the the yearly basis we don't want to get tied into it to an eight six seven eight nine ten d year deal we want to save that for aaron judge but we will do you know four five year deals maybe guys you know not at 30 plus million a year none of that stuff maybe we get some 22 23 24 25s in there the yankees go out there and let's say you know we think robbie ray and pitching is going to be key we feel like if we added um a marte in center field or if we make a trade of some sort uh with merrifield i don't know just to throw a name out there somebody that hits a little bit of contact moves guys over drives at the top of that top of that order a little bit gets on base more can run a little bit again starlin marte um if we did something like that maybe just maybe if we trade for matt olsen maybe just maybe we can get a guy also when i give it up haraz and then we can leave a peraza at short let him develop between two guys like a urshella maybe a kyle seeger they end up going out and get potentially i don't know i'm just throwing stuff out there and the dj lemayo maybe it's instead of trading a peraza to oakland they trade a glaber torres maybe they also get a pitcher in that deal so the main thing that i also asked was well what is the mindset of oswald peraz and he said flat out oswald peraz could come up to the major leagues and he'll do his thing he's just that type of guy from what he saw he just he's a professional ball player he doesn't see a guy that tries to be flashy he doesn't see a guy that that show boasts he doesn't see a guy that you know um um you know the saying that he puts his head down and he runs he's a gamer he goes out there and plays baseball so again i am not advocating i am not pushing for the new york yankees to just say start peraza what i'm trying to again come full circle here because the yankees made some good moves when they released the guys they released recently to add to that 40-minute roster they added really good players i thought stephen ridings would have been gone i thought ron martin mara kisio whatever his name is um who's it excellent i hate when i can't pronounce an italian name if i had it in front of me i could do it but i always forget it they added good guys ever since pierre we already know about oswaldo cabrera who i mentioned earlier in this video but if that's a sign maybe they do start going to the younger guys here maybe the yankees do say you know what we are the yankees yes but maybe we can also be like the tampa bay rays just in the sense that if we have an open position and if we want to if we want to add elsewhere because we can we can throw a peraza out there because we know we're going to add a huge starting pitcher we know we're going to add a big center fielder i don't think yankee fans have an issue with that at all it's just a balancing act the yankees can't sit back there and go we're not going to get these guys because it's too much money well unfortunately we didn't add enough so we'll just start some of our younger guys that ain't going to cut it that's not the strength of what the yankees should be doing the strength of what the new york yankees should be doing is that yes we can do the small deal yes we can make a trade because we got a good farm system and yes when it comes to big bucks we can spend it we got everything we got guys we could call up and play we got guys we can trade for and we have money that is the best you can have as an organization the yankees have it they just got to utilize it the right way the philosophy got to be the right way it's not that you spend 220 million dollars it's how you spend it that's been the issue with his ball club how they have spent their money we can pull players from this roster and go ha that adds up to 80 90 million for what and you could do that easy with the new york yankees roster so again i'm not sitting here saying a yankee shouldn't go get correa they shouldn't go get secret they shouldn't go get stored they shouldn't go get simeon you guys know i think story would be terrific depending on what he is i might try to offer him a big one-year deal but sticking to oswald peraza i confirmed with multiple people i know brian cashman said his glove would play up here right now his bat would the event scout i talked to said he would not see peraza really having an issue because of his intangibles because of what he brings to the table his attributes they're all there he said one it'll take an adjustment but he's made those he's shown him in the past he started off double a very slow he made an adjustment he made an adjustment that's what the best guys do they make adjustments they make adjustments he only had 28 at-bats in aaa 286 one homer but most people would tell you the legitimate competition in the miners is double a when it comes to pure talent there is more pure talent prospects aaa you have a lot of your your journeymen still down there guys that are kind of holding on to a last hope guys that are organizational fillers prospects too but triple double a that's why you see a lot of guys make the jump from double a to the major leagues because of that exactly so everything i hear everything i have been told if the yankees really wanted to go to the route of the derek jeter route with the oswald peraza they can do it they can do it again guys this is pizza manetti for nyy news hope you guys enjoy your sunday since there is no designated spit is today we should be back next week but guys tuesday night i'll give you an update there is going to be a nights at the round table so make sure you check out for that that is live so i'll be answering all your questions having fun with it talking about projected lineups projected moves what we would do little flashing light there with the ball saying subscribe subscribe subscribe january is right around the corner so excited for you guys to see what we got in store for you let me know in the comments below what do you think about the yankees went that route but again the only way they could do that in my opinion that i'll be okay with is if they add much more to this ball club than they have right now so let me know in the comments below what you guys think like subscribe share all that fun stuff talk to you guys again soon thank you i really really really wanna

Rojas Named 3B Coach, Cashman Meets With Freeman... @SimonettiSource

Transcript

what is going on everybody pizza minetta here for nyy news the yankees make a move today on the coaching staff luis rojas former mets manager will be the new york yankees third base coach i like the move um rojas is actually well respected around the game um the position he was putting with the mets was not a good one you know what i mean and a lot of people feel that um he wasn't ready to be a manager yet or in that situation they had him in it just wasn't the best fit in the world but as a coach all you hear is great praises about him and look you know if he can do anything to maybe balance some of these guys out work a little more in the infield have a little say in what goes on um i like the start of where they're going with the coaches that now everybody knows i'm never going to be happy with aaron boone unless he really changes the way he manages unless he gets a little bit of pride and dignity back in his system and is able to bench guys when they don't run or go over and pull them to the side and grab him and talk to them you know unless that happens i'm not a fan of of of the coaching staff because of boone but they could do some things to add some guys i think luis rojas is a nice start now i was the first person to put the information out there i was told that eric chavez also interviewed i believe there's a very good possibility of be a part of this staff um i my understanding is the interview went very well so let's see what happens there the other news on the day that got a lot of people talking john heyman reported that brian cashman met with the agents of freddie freeman and and freeman and blah blah blah blah blah guys can i just tell you a little spoiler alert real quick if brian cashman didn't meet with freddie freeman and co he's not doing his job he wouldn't be doing his job the yankees have a first baseman now who would be out of position but dj lemayo could play first base they are interested in their plan their plan anthony rizzo matt olsen most people believe one of those three will be the yankee third baseman but why would you not talk to freddie freeman and kind of see how he feels about new york would that be an interest to him what is it going to take why not have those conversations i mean if he doesn't then he's not doing his job as gm you got to have option a b c d and e gotta have those options on the table so i look no more into this than just that he was doing his due diligence and it's the right thing to do it's kind of his job to be fair so i know john heyman is out there you know looking for clicks and all that i mean i guess they do that right the inside is typically dude i just got met with this guy today and whatever um i mean i did it with patrick corbin so i put that information out that he was at the stadium they were meeting they had a meeting set up and um yeah so i guess um i did the same thing too so why should i do that to good old john heyman i love john heyman um but really guys that's it right now you know um all quiet before the storm maybe i think by friday we'll see something done i don't know if it's olson i think the yankees are very very deep in those waters i really believe that um i don't know if it's a possible maybe a trade that we haven't talked about much but um i think that is very very possible we shall see we shall see what happens there but um you know i've also had a lot of people dm me about what i said yesterday in the live and even i made the video about that you know i've been told by four people now that hal steinberg is not gonna go out there and do a 300 million dollar contract with a shortstop and people assume that that means that correa or seeger is not one of the guys said they think seeker could get less than three i don't believe that i think so and the way the market's going so eduardo rodriguez get paid today what is robbie ray gonna get justin verlander might get 20 million a year i don't know how but he might so gotta fix this mic one arm guys it's annoying um but we'll see what happens it could be an interesting week for the yankees you know they got some decisions to make with the with the 40 man and non-tenders coming up it's going to be a very interesting time i really believe that brian cashman is going to have to clear some space um that's only really done through trade unless you just drop these guys which would make no sense at all because randy vasquez is really good as well the cabrera is really good everson pierre's really good steven ridings is good i mean matt sawyer is good there's a lot of guys on that list that are really good ball players that the yankees have to add or lose in a rule 5 draft and you know i i think i think the yankees will make some moves by friday a move or moves i think they're also going to really start you're going to start to see the coaching staff close up too i think they really want to get that out the way i believe the next one could be eric chavez uh we'll see what happens there i know his interview went very well as i reported but um other than that guys that's the only update i have right now unless something else breaks you'll hear from me next time when we got some more information out there if i got information to share with you guys i'll do that until then tell your friends family uh yankee groups facebook twitter youtube uh twitch whatever the hell social media platforms are out there to make sure they subscribe to ny news so you guys get the first and everything that we put out don't want you guys to miss anything so again guys with that being said i am pizza pizzamanetti for the one the only nyy news talk to you guys next time
